Phoebe's POV
A short while later, I walked downstairs wearing comfortable clothes with a black backpack hanging from one shoulder. I gave Sergio a brief nod and said, "Let's head to the office."
Sergio's face lit up immediately. He nodded eagerly and rushed out the door beside me.

Patty shot daggers at Phoebe's retreating figure, looking ready to rip her to shreds. "Mom, I hate her guts."
Nathalia softly rubbed her arm. "Stay calm. After your father gets those shares, we'll take care of her."

Phoebe's POV
During the drive to Hale Group, I ignored Sergio's nervous fidgeting completely. I just settled back into the seat and shut my eyes.
Sergio was irritated but kept his mouth shut.
Up front, the longtime family driver observed everything in the rearview mirror. He couldn't hide his surprise. I was carrying myself like the person calling the shots now.
I stayed perfectly still until we pulled up to the building. Then I opened my eyes, alert and focused.
