Chapter 7 - All Hail

Months had passed since the battle with Ko, Koshi and Morato, which ended on a tragic note. The aftermath was slow, but yielding in the end, favorable results

Inside the throne room of a castle kneeling down on the crimson royal runner carpet, two assistants murmur amongst themselves. The female assistant Sphe sighed. "Honestly, I think it's a nice choice. And hey you gotta give the guy props, it's not easy to find people with potential like that."

"Hm." Yun shook his head. "Mildly. Technically speaking, there are many out there with such talent," He said to Sphe, his tone formal and gracious.

Sphe cocked her head, expecting nothing less from Yun. "...Yeah. Obviously."

"Keep it down," An exhausted sounding voice said, from the throne. The person straightened themselves and leaned back.

The assistants swiftly turned to their King.

[7TH DEMON KING THE DEFIER UKUTER]

[Ruler Of The Kingdom Of The Misfit Fairies]

Ukuter stared at them with an exhausted look. The two immediately bowed and apologized for the disturbance. Being used to the antics of his assistant, Ukuter shrugged his shoulders and returned his lazy gaze back down to the paper in hand.

"I said keep it down, not apologize," Ukuter calmly reiterated to clarify his point. "You two are just gonna get back at it, sooner than later."

Yun felt a rush of disappointment rush over him, as Ukuter's words soaked into his skin, subsequently he shot Sphe a spiteful look. "Brilliant, you upset Lord Ukuter."

"Ignoring you," Sphe replied, rolling her eyes.

"Uh… You two were heading out." Ukuter sat up from his throne, grabbing up his boardsword from the side of the throne up and over his shoulders, he walked down to his assistants.

Sphe jumped up to her feet. "Oh! Yes, sir, I meant to ask. What about the coronation? Will you be attending?"

Ukuter stood in silence thinking over this. "No. For the others I doubt. But…" Ukuter grinned. "She'd be welcomed."

The assistants swiftly tailed behind Ukuter. As Ukuter stepped from out of his throne room, to the glamorous shining gold of his castle interior, all activity came to a halt, as he passed through.

Leaving his castle, Ukuter decided to purposefully stroll through the kingdom, taking the long way out, passing the high lords down to the local markets. As expected news spread fast, and the local people huddled up to see their King.

Ukuter dawns a proud grin on his face, admittedly enjoying doing this ever so often. With a slight blush of his cheek, as he bathed in all the praise.

The group eventually reached the outskirts of the kingdom down to the plains, Ukuter threw parchment over his shoulders, igniting before it touched the ground.

Yun walked up to Ukuter's side. He quickly fixed his glasses and spoke. "Sir, I've been wondering, what's your opinion on this case?"

"She better not annoy me like her predecessor… Because I'm not like Him," Ukuter replied, his tone drifting to one of hate.

"Of course not, you're better in every way," Ukuter remarked with a cautiousness in his tone. "Unlike their predecessor and ours, if she tried to follow in his footsteps, I doubt you'll end up dying along with her."

Sphe snickered. "It must have been tough being ruled by a dummy." She placed her hands on her hips. "I bet I would've been a better demon King," She proudly proclaimed.

Yun lightly chuckles, "Yes…" He paused dramatically, promptly realizing she might be right. He chuckled again to play it off. "Compared to him, anyone would be suitable," Yun said smugly.

Sphe took immediate notice of what Yun was implying and pouted. "Gee. Can't win anything can I?"

"Uh." She suddenly grinned and took to the sky her wings flapping furiously. "Haha! See-ya loser."

"Lord Ukuter had already taken off?" Yun swiftly followed behind in a hurry.

Hours later of travel down to the evening, the constant bickering between Sphe and Yun came to a halt. As they made landfall on the edge of a cliff.

Ukuter stared downwards onto the heavenly glow of the outer domain of the celestial lake presenting itself as quite the eye catcher.

Ukuter narrowed his eyes, a sly grin spreading across his face. "We're here."

Sphe stepped forward, her eyes glittering with awe. "Where exactly?" She asked, tilting her head.

Yun stepped in to answer this question. "The Celestial Lake. I haven't been here in awhile"

"Celestial Lake?" Sphe murmured in confusion. "Now what the hell is that? Hm, if I have to guess, magic water. Why did Uku take you and me."

Yun sighed. "Uh? I've been by Ukuter's side far longer than you," Yun remarked. "Now for your question, this is only for special occasions. Some entertainment to put it simply," He began, "The Celestial Lake is one of the primordial sources of this world... If this rings a bell it's also known as Greed's Graveyard."

"Ehh? Hmm." Sphe took a moment and thought deeply, until she finally recalled it. "Ahh. Yeah, I remember now, how could I forget such a badass name such as that, hm?"

"Anyway, what's the occasion?" Sphe inquired.

"Something simple, we're merely here to collect some of its contents," Yun casually replied.

Hearing this Sphe slammed her fist into her palm. "Okay, let's go." Sphe enthusiastically walked off.

With a sigh, Yun grabbed her from behind, halting her in her tracks. "I know it sounds easy, but it's said just getting close to the Celestia Lake weakens you, and touching it destroys you completely… But those are just rumors, and I go by facts," Yun cleared his throat. "For example, Lord Ukuter's words."

"Oh. Yeah." Sphe scratched the back of her head. "I wonder if in a thousand years I'll end up like you." She shook her head.

Ukuter gazed below at the tall, otherworldly glow of green from the blades of grass. "Stay here," Ukuter ordered, before he leapt off the cliff, stopping mere inches from the ground to softly land.

He approached the lake with calmness and grace. Ukuter summoned a silver mixed golden wine goblet in his left hand to collect the contents of the lake.

Once Ukuter was finished and he put the goblet away, his assistants all let out a breath of relief.

Their relief was for nothing, the Celestial came alive to retaliate and from this a monster formed from the very contents of the lake emerged. Ukuter was quick to react but casual in his movements. He removed his sword from his shoulder and swung it down, splitting not only the beast but almost the entire lake and expelling a tremendous force that obliterated the monster in one move.

Uninterested in staying around for further retaliation, Ukuter made a quick step and instantaneous movement to the top of the cliff.

Ukuter took to the air right after, his assistants quickly taking off behind him. Sphe smiled and took a look back, then at Ukuter. "Seems like I was worried for nothing?"

Sphe glanced at him. "Hm. Right and you weren't?" She thought.

"Hey, so Yun… Have any ideas what it'll be used for?" She asked curiously.

Yun had a feeling a question like this was coming, and replied promptly. "Could be for anything. I like to be concrete with my responses, so I won't make any assumptions."

"Really?… Can I at least hear a few theories and make my decision?" Sphe asked.

Yun smiled, finding this amusing. "And be the one to share misleading information… I'll pass, thank you."

Once they were at a safe distance, Ukuter descended to the ground not in any haste. "Her Coronation must've ended by now."

"The Administrator succeeded, so good for him," Sphe remarked, an intense gaze of wonder in her eyes. "But… I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised."

An eyebrow raised, Yun glanced back around at her. "To which you mean?" He probed.

"Doesn't he have that skill? Path Foresight?" She inquired, a curious finger on her lips.

"Yes, that would be correct… Besides that, I'm quite curious to see where this goes," Yun commented. Finding his interest building after thinking the situation over.

"Same," Ukuter agreed, turning to Yun. "I'm curious to see how she'll turn out compared to her predecessor."
