Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 – First Day

Morvath sat on a rock while holding the thigh of a monster he had just killed. He had just massacred around seventy monsters. There was no resistance at all from those monsters.

Now, he had reached level 32. A rather small increase.

[Name: Noir Valenhardt]

[Race: Undead]

[Class: Skeleton Warrior]

[Level: 32]

[HP: 2,730/2,730]

[MP: 1,025/1,025]

[STR: 228]

[AGI: 236]

[VIT: 204]

[DEX: 123]

[LUK: 1]

But the stats he had were already very high. This even exceeded the expectations in his mind. Even though he originally started as a normal skeleton.

However, there were several things Morvath greatly regretted, which was that not all the skills could be used.

[Summoning Undead] – status locked. You are not on the summoning class path.

Not only that skill, there were several others like Wailing Legion and Abyssal Dominion. It was strange because he received skills that belonged specifically to the summoner class.

To obtain a summoner class, Morvath had to take the Skeleton Mage path. A different path. Strange, since he received skills that did not belong to the class he chose.

"Should I choose the Skeleton Mage class?"

Morvath immediately shook his head. He doubted he could win against the Avatar Demon King if he chose the Skeleton Mage class.

It was not because the Skeleton Mage class was weak or useless. But because Skeleton Mage would make him ineffective when using weapons like swords, spears, shields or other fighter weapons. And also, the HP and durability of a skeleton mage were smaller. That made him easier to defeat.

Only relying on numbers against the Avatar Demon King would not work. The key to defeating the Avatar Demon King was the Luminblade of the Dragon.

To use that sword, he had to choose the Skeleton Warrior class. Other than the sword becoming more effective, Morvath would also have more HP, which could withstand the side effects of holding that legendary sword.

"It is fine. This alone is already more than enough. I also have several other interesting skills," Morvath said.

He threw the monster bones he had just eaten. He ate not to remove hunger, but to recover HP, STA, and MP. He had to stay alert because there was a possibility strong monsters would appear or humans would come.

Morvath would not allow himself to die for the second time. He stood up after finishing the last piece of meat. Morvath looked up, gazing at the sky. He tried looking for a way out of this forest but still had not found one.

"Where exactly am I?" Morvath scratched his fleshless head.

The day had turned bright, and he could start walking again. Morvath's first goal was to find the nearest village or town.

He wanted to know where he was first. While searching, he would also raise his level. He wondered what other class he could obtain after this.

Many classes appeared in his mind, but no one would know which was true unless he reached the required level.

"Is the next level limit level 50?"

Morvath continued walking. Several monsters backed away because they felt an oppressive aura from him. Monsters far below Morvath's level would be terrified, but monsters above him would approach because they felt Morvath was prey.

Unfortunately, when they tried to attack Morvath, they ended up becoming exp.

"Footsteps?"

Morvath turned to the right. He heard a sound coming from that direction. Without thinking, he immediately walked south.

The footsteps grew faster. Morvath stopped. He saw a woman running in fear with blood dripping from her head.

Morvath tilted his skull. "A human?"

The woman kept running. She looked back and when she looked forward again, she was shocked. A skeletal figure stood right in front of her.

She fell immediately. She quickly stood again and ran in another direction. She did not say anything.

Morvath only stayed silent. "What happened to her?"

He turned toward the woman again. He decided to follow her. He wanted to ask for directions to the nearest village.

"Sir, please. Don't hurt me!" begged Anna.

She was cornered after running for a very long time. She was exhausted and fell. In front of her, three men holding swords surrounded her. Their faces looked eager.

One of them even licked his lips. He moved his head, giving a signal to his two companions.

Anna was immediately encircled by the three men. Her face turned pale. She shook her head repeatedly.

"Sir, please spare me!" Anna begged again.

She even prostrated herself before the three men, but it changed nothing. The three of them continued with whatever was in their minds.

"Be quiet. If you do not resist, then this will not hurt," one of them said.

The other two immediately grabbed Anna's hands. Anna tried to struggle, but she lost. The two men were stronger than her.

"No. Do not do it! Please!" Anna cried in a half screaming voice.

But no one cared. Her hands were held tightly. As she kept resisting, a hard slap hit her face. Not once or twice, but repeatedly until her face was bruised and blood dripped from her lips.

"I... please... do not," Anna said with a weakening voice.

The three men grew even more excited. One of them had even removed his shirt. He stared at Anna's beautiful face with a lustful gaze.

"Take off her clothes. After I enjoy this woman's body, you two may do whatever you want with her," the man said.

The two men became excited. They nodded, but suddenly their eyes widened. Their faces turned pale.

"Brother, that..." one of them said while pointing behind their friend.

The half naked man frowned. "What is happening?"

"There is..." both of them swallowed hard, "a monster."

The man immediately turned around, but at that moment, a grip grabbed his face. He drew his sword, wanting to fight.

BRAAAGGH!

The man's head exploded. The other two men turned pale, their legs trembling.

"I truly hate humans like you," Morvath said as murderous aura overflowed, "I will kill you."
