Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: 10 Years Later

Waking up, I stretched and looked out the window. "It's time," I thought, and got up and headed to the kitchen to make coffee. Ten years had passed since I arrived in this world. Every day I trained and prepared for my plans. During this time, my control over the ether had grown immensely. I learned to create not only trees but also living creatures that were like extensions of my body.

I created about 200 sparrows to monitor the world's events. They acted as video cameras, transmitting images to a screen in the living room. I also created an inner world, a passageway accessible only through the ether. Anyone who controlled the ether could enter this world from anywhere in the shinobi world.

After making coffee, I headed to the living room and, settling comfortably on the couch, began studying the images on the monitor. Many of them depicted human settlements, like small villages or towns. During this time, I could observe the wars that people continued to wage out of greed and avarice.

Soon, an image in one of the pictures caught my attention, and I zoomed in for a better view. The screen showed two people, a man and a woman, standing near a large tree. I mentally linked with the sparrow and took control of its body, sending ether particles underground. Approaching them, I placed a small portion on their bodies for study and possible creation. I had no intention of interfering with Kaguya's sealing and Isshiki's escape. But I was capable of saving her from a thousand-year imprisonment.

Soon, Kaguya stabbed Isshiki in the back and threw his body toward a tree, which immediately absorbed it. Kaguya soon left, but I continued to watch her; the births of Hagoromo and Hamura were also essential to my plans. Returning to my body, I finished my coffee and left the house. A small pond in front of the house, filled with koi, opened up before me.

In front of the house was a small recreation area with a barbecue, table, and soft chairs. Near the pond was a swing with a soft cushion, and to the left and right of the house were small groves of mandarin trees. Behind the house, I had a small farm for growing grains like wheat and rice, various herbs, and root vegetables like onions, carrots, and beets.

I also raised cows and chickens. Beef, fresh milk, eggs, and chicken were among my favorite dishes, as they were used in both daily meals and baked goods.

After enjoying the view, I turned my gaze to the house. It had changed compared to its former self. It had become larger and more majestic, with new windows and shoji in the traditional Japanese style. A small section of the house was made of stone, while the second floor and entrance were originally made of wood. In front of the entrance was a small pond, where the stone was used for decoration.

Above the entrance was an image of a sphere with images of koi carp gathering in the center. It was somewhat reminiscent of the Rinnegan, but the lines were broken and had the outlines of koi carp.

Yes, it was the symbol of my clan, a clan that essentially consisted of only me, but it wouldn't last. I'm not sure I'll have children, but accepting a few people into my clan wouldn't be difficult for me. I decided to take the surname Hiroshi. Vi Hiroshi, that was my name. And accordingly, my surname was used for the clan name.

After finishing my morning chores, I exited my world and found myself in front of a large tree. I placed my hands on it and began studying its structure to recreate the divine tree. It turned out to be more difficult than I expected; about half an hour later, I removed my hands and sighed regretfully. "This may take much longer than I originally thought."

Leaving the tree, I went to meet my first friend here, Gamamaru. He had already become a sage and lived on Mount Myōboku. Once there, I saw many toads busy with their own affairs: some were resting, others were training, and still others were conversing with each other. No one reacted to my appearance; I had learned to conceal my presence to the point of emptiness, as if there were nothing there at all.

Reaching the palace where Gamamaru lived, I entered and released my concealment technique. Gamamaru immediately sensed me and came out to meet him.

"Long time no see, old friend," Gamamaru greeted me. "I knew you'd come."

"Yes, the time has come. I've already begun studying Kaguya and Isshiki's bodies. It shouldn't take long. Kaguya has taken the chakra fruit, so all that remains is to wait for her to eat it and see what changes it will bring to her body." I replied to Gamamaru. "What you're doing may be dangerous, but I sense you mean no harm to your world. In all your time, you've never killed anyone, only made those who attacked you feel helpless and despairing."

"I don't want to take human lives; everyone deserves a second chance, just like I once did."

Gamaru paused for thought and then chuckled, inviting me to the table. I pulled out a freshly prepared beef stew with mayonnaise from my world, made with my own hands after countless tests.

"I'm falling more and more in love with your cooking skills, Vi. It's a shame you don't want to be my personal chef; then my life could be better," Gamamaru said with annoyance.

"We have different paths, but that doesn't mean we can't sit here and just talk like old friends," I retorted.

Gamamaru sighed again and continued tucking into his stew. I laughed at his reaction, and after saying goodbye and warning him not to tell anyone about me and my true strength, I returned to my world and entered the training room. Before me stood a man with a cross-shaped sword, yellow hawk eyes, and a red hat. Yes, it was Dracule Mihawk. I had fought him for five years and was unable to defeat him. But today, everything would change.

Activating my own domain, which I had spent five years developing specifically for combating opponents like Mihawk, my perception immediately began to register the enemy's movements and breathing. Multiple strands of ether concentrated and entangled Mihawk's arms and legs, turning him into a mummy. With a simple mental command, they contracted and crushed Mihawk. Finally, after five years, I was able to defeat him; he is worthy of the title of the strongest swordsman in the Pirate World.

Leaving the training room and sitting on the swing by the pond, I lit a cigarette and lost myself in memories. My opponents in the training room had always been strong, pushing me to my limits, but I'd never lost until I faced Mihawk. Kirito from Sword Art Online, Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul, or even Esdeath from Akame ga Kill—they were all strong, but I'd always won. I also constantly scanned their bodies during the fight. The Teigu's influence on Esdeath's body was colossal; the monster's essence had literally become a part of her, and if not for her sheer willpower, Esdeath would have long ago fallen under the monster's control.

I recalled my first encounter with Crocodile, one of the Seven Shichibukai, and how overjoyed I was to finally begin studying the Devil Fruit. Yes, I'd managed to recreate it, and without any side effects like a weakness to seawater or sea stone. It turns out the Devil Fruit's power was suppressed because of a curse from the sea. In the pirate world, I understood the sea to be a living being and the guardian of the world. When the Devil Fruits appeared, the sea considered itself mocked and cursed anyone who ate a Devil Fruit.

I also managed to recreate the Ice Teigu without the monster's essence, meaning anyone who takes it can wield it, but I added the condition that only the first user can wield it; it would absorb the others and use them to increase its own power.

Reminiscing, I went to my lab, where data was being collected for studying various molecular structures. Kaguya and Isshiki's bodies had already been studied and stored in the Mind Vault. I created it using an idea from the Heavenly Path Library, where all knowledge is collected. This made extracting the information I needed much easier.

I began creating Kaguya's body. No mind, no soul, just a body. I planned to intervene during the sealing and swap the real Kaguya with the body I created. Yes, she turned out to be much more beautiful than depicted in canon, especially since she also only wanted to save this world. It's just that her method, turning everyone into white zetsu, was flawed. The Ōtsutsuki are powerful, and creatures who constantly want to watch others defecate aren't even worth mentioning as their opponents.

After preparing and creating Kaguya's body, I had dinner and went to bed. After all, soon I won't be living here alone, and I hope Kaguya will agree to listen to me and support my idea.
