Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Legacies and Backstabs.

Inside wide, quiet purplish-turquoise marble-floored corridor, glistening in the lit place with blue flames on perched torches and dark grey walls, a tall and athletic fair skinned woman in a white gown with a 5 feet tall fit built male with dark-skin, long black with braids and white green lined modern robes faced each other.

The woman was on her knees, hastily crying with an ached voice.

"Caleb, your father can put us in trouble!" she spoke faintly.

"I know, mother." The blue eyed boy lowered his head. "But I can't let him provoke Earth to invade us on my wath… I would feel guilty enough."

"I've told you child." She harked, tugging his clothes. "Victor is not a man to be messed with… he's an elemental teacher."

"And I'm his kid." Caleb pulled away. "Mom, I was hoping you'd come with me, but I might as well have to do it on my own then."

"Caleb."

"No."

His voice became straight as his eyes pierced, gazing at the female's. From this, he was probably picturing Victor's shows of rage in his mind with cold chills.

"He's going down, mom." That sharp voice.

At this, her pale face froze, watching the determined… He who claimed to end his father.

Back in the concrete floored ring Hammer and Gloria fought in. Cindy appeared, walking into the place with special-combat gear as Hammer they wore with black pouches.

Staring around, footsteps dropped behind as her eyes perked, turning back fast to the source.

Watcher, in the same attire she wore, with a dull but scowling face stared the woman down calmly.

He then hissed. "You're the same girlfriend Gloria told me about, huh…? You know, I never expected it, but I'm actually pissed about something."

Cindy winced with her brows raised, as if in thought. "Which is…"

"Your boyfriend hurt my friend pretty badly, and yes, I've been speaking with Stephen, but this one's from a different universe… and he 'tells' me."

His voice stressed hard while he strode. "He's out to rip us up, isn't he…? That little coward!"

"SWOOSH!"

A big beam of fire at Cindy a mile away. On impact, flames circled her, with skin turned red and reptilian. Athletic muscles grow before she rolls over.

Landing in a crouching pose, with her orange eyes, fangs and look, she zoomed like wild wind in seconds. Clawing at Watcher with flaming claws.

He did the same with fists, creating whirlpooling flames lashing around them, coating the arena.

Eventually, POW! A hard kick at Cindy's face. With her head tilted with gleaming lizard eyes, flashbacks flicked in. Time froze mutely.

Watcher's glare loosened at her look before gaping. Flickering lights were at his right. The image of a phoenix changed shape around the girl. Seconds zoomed, before a giant spark of flame from Cindy.

They then swung fists. With a huge motion, big fiery beasts like the bird flew out of her, pushing fast in dozens around Cindy in massive arcs.

Watcher flew back, creating hand signs as creatures alike zoomed out of them before he crashed.

The man stood up with two long blazing swords then -WHOOSH! A tornado of fire boomed behind as he surged for his opponent.

With a hard heavy -SWOOSH! The screen flashed white.

Inside a huge cave opening, Victor, in black combat armour hissed, making hand signs before banging the ground. "Chigozie!" "Move!"

With that, rumbling sounds echoed as the floor crumbly, before-.

"KRA-KRA-BOOM!"

Gigantic bolts of lighting crashed though the before the rock walls did, engulfing Victor.

Some other place, elsewhere, in a huge enormous deep slate coated place was Chigozie in noir and sleek gear with his hand driven into the ground. It shook as big sparks of blue coated him while he screamed.

"You're better than this, Victor…! And just so you know, even if you succeed in colonizing Earth, there are multiverses where you haven't accomplished that goal, thanks to Stephen's death."

His body was frozen with a scowl. "He's on my death list, if you're not careful."

"KABOOM-CRASH!"

From a massive wall far down, Victor punched forward enormous boulders 20 feet tall in sharp force, revealing him with eyes green.

He then met Stella with fists in the air with Chigozie, matching his attire.

She held a spinning white ball of lighting, blitzing bolts violently as her optics glared.

She chuckled. "Good bye… Victor Paul."

Then "BOOM!"

Inside a small black cockpit of a private jet, with bright morning sunshine, Stephen and Rusty sat among buttons and gears, eying them.

A bean then came from a tiny iron net frame at a grey corner.

"Rusty, we got good news for you." A female voice buzzed. "Farouk and Segun are back from the Minecraft Verse… and the Chosen, or whoever he is, is coming to Earth by speculated readings, tomorrow morning.

"Dang." Rusty chuckled. "Aight then, let's rally up the squad… we're about to rally up the squad and release the experiments."

"Yeah, about that place." Stephen chipped in. "I can't help but say something seems off about your relationship with Hammer, really." I mean, you guys don't seem like a bad match, so why fight her and her friends so much."

"I already told you." Rusty grunted, looking away.

"I mean, it's not just her… you were telling me about why she was cornered that night while she tried to find your base all that time ago in the Minecraft Verse… these 3 guys named Sprite, Cole and Chiamaka."

The man stared at Stephen, before he looked back.

"Well, I trained them as assassins to fight the unjust military rule there, abducting kids to become spies, so when reasoning didn't work out, I fought fire with fire amongst them."

Stephen winced, probably doubting something, then he turned his body to Rusty. "I'm not one to judge, but honestly, you've gotta calm down, I mean, look, why I want to kill Farouk is because he can end worlds with his power."

His friend looked at him before he continued.

"I don't see anything more to do sadly… I didn't need Victor to show me that, but they are just trying to find the same thing you are trying to find… peace, a home, love."

Stephen looked out the window, smugly smiling. "Honestly, there isn't a day I wish I could just talk things out with him, but honestly, it feels more like a task for me concerning my life and the fate of the world right now. I'm really scared for myself"

He faced Rusty with semi brightened eyes. "But you on the other hand… you have a choice… you're Rustage Adebayo, not 'puppet of your own ambition and rage'."

Rusty gazed at him for a few seconds, then looked away.

"Hmph." He shrugged. "I can't say if my course differs from yours… who knows…?"

"What if we both just want the same thing?"
