In the morning, Kevin woke up to find Hana—his constant protector—already watching over him. She tried to give him a scare.
Hana: "Boo! Hehe, were you surprised, sweetie?"
Kevin: "I'm already used to that. Please stop."
Hana: "Fufu, you're no fun. At least pretend to be shocked to make me happy. By the way, how do I look? Do I look pretty?"
In Kevin's eyes, she was still just a shadowy silhouette.
Kevin: "No."
Kevin stood up and headed to the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Hana, waiting outside, tried to phase through the wall to peek at him.
Seeing this, Kevin scolded her.
Kevin: "Stop doing that, you stalker!"
Hana: "Huu, boring. Fine, I'll head out first. Take care of yourself, sweetie."
Hana vanished while Kevin got ready. Once finished, Kevin headed toward the city of Valyria, wearing clothes that concealed his identity and a different mask.
Eventually, Kevin arrived at Valyria and made his way to the black market to trade goods at his usual spot.
Shopkeeper: "You're back. I didn't expect my loyal customer to be a high-level criminal."
Hearing this, Kevin broke into a cold sweat and became nervous.
Kevin: "What do you mean?"
Shopkeeper: "No need to hide your identity; we all know. We have a common enemy: the government."
Kevin: "Hmm, I'm not so sure about that. Anyway, can I get information on the location of the experiment site?"
Shopkeeper: "I don't know about that, but there's a former soldier over there who just got out. Maybe you can ask him."
The shopkeeper pointed to a man sitting alone at a table. Kevin approached him and negotiated. After a brief talk, the man agreed and gave the information to Kevin. Kevin left the black market and climbed to the top of the perimeter wall, looking around.
Kevin: "If I'm not mistaken, it should be near there."
Kevin searched for the laboratory and finally found it.
Kevin: "That must be the place. Time to commit a crime."
The perspective shifts inside the laboratory to Arman's room. Arman was sitting down, Mac107 stood beside him, and a soldier arrived to report.
Soldier: "Reporting! There is an intruder heading this way."
Arman: "What are you waiting for? Fight him!"
Soldier: "Yes, sir!"
The soldier left, leaving Arman and Mac107 behind. Shortly after, the danger alarm blared.
Arman: "Tch. Defeat that enemy; do not let him escape."
Mac107: "Understood, Master."
Mac107 left Arman's room to intercept Kevin. Shifting back to Kevin underground, he looked through a window and saw many humans imprisoned—from children to adults.
Kevin: "This place is like a prison. How am I going to evacuate them all?"
Kevin drew his sword and tried to strike a metal door, but it wouldn't budge.
Kevin: "This sword is so weak."
Suddenly, a spear flew toward Kevin's head. Kevin managed to dodge and looked toward the attacker.
Kevin: "That almost killed me."
At the end of the hallway stood Mac107 and two soldiers who looked different from the others: Bianca, a woman, and Daren, a man.
Kevin: "Looks like more underlings. Are you ready to be defeated?"
Daren: "Kids these days are so arrogant."
Bianca: "What a funny joke. What can one person do against the three of us?"
Kevin continued his arrogant act.
Kevin: "Look behind you!"
The three of them kept their eyes fixed on Kevin, none of them looking back. Seizing the moment, Kevin immediately sprinted away to escape.
Daren and Mac107 chased Kevin, attacking simultaneously, but Kevin managed to dodge.
Kevin: "You guys are so slow!"
From behind Daren and Mac107, a spear shot toward Kevin. Kevin parried the spear with his sword until the blade snapped.
They reached a large cylindrical room with an elevator in the center and a bridge-like walkway connecting to it. Kevin was pushed back quite far, crashing into the glass door of the elevator, shattering it. He frantically pressed the button for the lowest floor as the three of them closed in.
Kevin: "Hurry, hurry!!"
The elevator moved down, leaving the three behind.
Kevin: "Yes! I'm safe!"
Kevin's joy didn't last long. Mac107 appeared on top of the elevator, slicing through the roof.
Mac107: "I found you."
Kevin scrambled out of the elevator and was pursued by Mac107. As Kevin tried to enter a hallway, Daren and Bianca dropped down from above, blocking his path.
Kevin: "Can we stop for a second? It's not fair to fight an unarmed enemy."
Bianca: "Your game ends here."
Bianca, Daren, and Mac107 approached Kevin slowly and cautiously. Kevin took several flashbangs from his cloak and pulled the pins.
Ten flashbangs were primed at once. Kevin quickly covered his ears. Daren shouted a warning to Bianca and Mac107.
Daren: "Everyone, cover your eyes and ears!"
They all closed their eyes and covered their ears. Three seconds passed and nothing happened. When they opened their eyes, Kevin was gone.
Bianca: "What?! We were fooled by such a cheap trick!"
Bianca became furious and humiliated. Daren tried to calm her down.
Daren: "Calm down, Bianca. We can still catch him."
Cut to Kevin, who was running away from the laboratory.
Kevin: "I'm so cool! I can't believe my cheap trick actually worked! Haha!"
Kevin laughed happily because he managed to escape the three of them. He finally made it past the great wall. Meanwhile, Bianca, Daren, and Mac107 emerged from the laboratory.
Daren's phone rang; it was a call from Arman.
Arman (on phone): "So, did you manage to catch him?"
Daren (on phone): "Forgive us... he managed to escape."
Arman flew into a rage, slamming his desk.
Arman (on phone): "The three of you, get back to base. Now!"
Daren (on phone): "Understood."
Arman ended the call. After some time, Bianca, Daren, and Mac107 arrived at Arman's office.
Arman: "What is your excuse for failing?"
Daren: "Forgive us, we—"
Arman cut him off angrily.
Arman: "You've been here for so long and I gave you the latest equipment, yet you still couldn't catch one criminal!"
Arman pulled out a remote and pressed it. Mac107 was suddenly electrocuted by the collar he was wearing. Bianca and Daren tried to help the agonizing Mac107.
Bianca: "Can you stop that? He's not a robot!"
Arman: "Why are you stopping me? He deserves it. It seems you two also need to be punished."
Suddenly, two soldiers appeared at the door holding stun weapons. Bianca and Daren were hit with electric shocks.
Arman's phone rang again. He answered it with a smirk on his face. When he hung up, he thought to himself:
Arman (thinking):"Finally, she is ready to fight. Maybe I should throw these three away and focus on her."
Time passed. That night, in a meeting room, Arman was with a red-haired woman.
Arman: "I have a mission for you."
Arman showed a photo of Kevin to the woman.
Arman: "Find information on him, and then kill him."
Woman: "Yes, sir. Consider it done."
