In the morning, Kevin woke up. As he opened his eyes, he saw the black shadows that always protected him; the shadows tried to surprise Kevin.
Shadow: "Boo! Hehe, were you surprised, sweetie?"
Kevin: "I've gotten used to it. Please stop."
Shadow: "Fufu, no fun. At least pretend to be surprised to make me happy. By the way, how do I look? Do I look pretty?"
In Kevin's eyes, it still just looked like a shadow.
Kevin: "No."
Kevin stood up and walked toward the bathroom, closing the door. The shadow waiting outside the bathroom tried to phase through the wall to look at Kevin.
Kevin saw it and scolded it.
Kevin: "Stop doing that, you stalker!"
Shadow: "Hmph, boring. If that's the case, I'll go for now. Take care, sweetie."
The shadow disappeared while Kevin got ready. After he finished, Kevin headed to the city of Valyria, wearing clothes that covered him and a different mask.
Valyria and the Black Market
Kevin finally arrived in the city of Valyria and walked toward the black market to exchange goods at his usual spot.
Shop Owner: "You're back again. I never thought my most loyal customer would be a high-level criminal."
Hearing his words, Kevin immediately broke out in a cold sweat, becoming nervous.
Kevin: "What do you mean?"
Shop Owner: "No need to hide your identity. We all know. We have the same enemy: the government."
Kevin: "Hmm, I'm not entirely convinced by your words. If that's the case, can I get information about the experiment location?"
Shop Owner: "I don't know about that, but there's a former soldier who just got out over there. Maybe you can ask them."
The shop owner pointed towards a person sitting alone at a table. Kevin walked up to the person and tried to negotiate. Not long after negotiating, the person agreed and gave the information to Kevin. Kevin left the black market and went up to the dividing wall, looking around.
Kevin: "If I'm not mistaken, it should be somewhere near there."
Kevin searched for the laboratory's location and finally found it.
Kevin: "That must be the place. Time to commit a crime."
The Lab and the Intercept
The perspective switched to inside the laboratory, in Arman's room. Arman was sitting, Mac 107 was standing beside him, and one soldier was about to report.
Soldier: "Reporting! There is an intruder heading this way."
Arman: "What are you waiting for? Fight him!"
Soldier: "Understood, proceeding."
The soldier left, leaving Arman and Mac107. Not long after, a danger alarm sounded.
Arman: "Tch, defeat that enemy! Don't let him get away!"
Mac107: "Understood, Sir."
Mac107 left Arman's room, heading toward Kevin's location. The perspective shifted to Kevin underground. Kevin looked through a window and saw many humans, from children to adults, locked up.
Kevin: "This place is like a prison. How am I going to evacuate all of them?"
Kevin pulled out his sword and tried to attack the metal door. He tried, but it didn't work.
Kevin: "This sword is so weak."
Suddenly, a spear flew toward Kevin's head. Kevin successfully dodged and looked toward the thrower.
Kevin: "That almost killed me."
At the end of the hallway, Mac107 and two other soldiers, who looked different from the others, were visible. Their names were Bianca, a woman, and Daren, a man.
Kevin: "More new lackeys, huh? Are you ready to be defeated?"
Daren: "Kids these days are so arrogant."
Bianca: "Your joke is funny. What can one person do against three?"
Kevin continued to act arrogantly.
Kevin: "Look behind you!"
The three of them continued to look at Kevin; no one looked back. Kevin immediately ran away quickly.
Daren and Mac107 chased Kevin, attacking simultaneously, but Kevin managed to dodge.
Kevin: "You're all so slow."
From behind Daren and Mac107, a spear quickly emerged, heading for Kevin. Kevin parried the spear with his sword until it broke.
The Escape
The scene showed a large, tube-shaped room with a lift in the center and platforms like bridges connected to the lift.
Kevin retreated quite far, hitting the lift door until the glass broke. Kevin quickly pressed the lift button repeatedly for the lowest floor. The three of them were getting closer to Kevin.
Kevin: "Faster, faster!!"
The lift moved down, leaving the three behind.
Kevin: "Yes, I'm safe."
Kevin's joy was short-lived. On the lift's roof, Mac107 was splitting the roof open.
Mac107: "I found you!"
Kevin got out of the lift and was chased by Mac107. As Kevin was about to enter the corridor, Daren and Bianca came down from above, blocking Kevin's way.
Kevin: "Can we stop for a moment? It's not fair to fight an unarmed enemy."
Bianca: "Your game ends here."
Bianca, Daren, and Mac107 slowly approached Kevin cautiously. Kevin took a flashbang from his cloak and pulled the safety pin.
10 flashbangs went off simultaneously. Kevin quickly covered his ears. Daren quickly warned Bianca and Mac107.
Daren: "Everyone, cover your eyes and ears!"
They all started covering their eyes and ears. 3 seconds passed, and nothing happened. The three of them started opening their eyes. Kevin was gone from the spot.
Bianca: "What the hell! We were easily fooled by a cheap trick!"
Bianca became annoyed and felt ashamed. Daren tried to calm down the emotional Bianca.
Daren: "Calm down, Bianca. We can still chase him."
The perspective switched to Kevin running away from the laboratory.
Kevin: "I'm so awesome! I didn't expect my cheap trick to work, haha!"
Kevin laughed happily because he successfully escaped the three of them. Kevin finally managed to escape the large wall. Meanwhile, it showed Bianca, Daren, and Mac107 just emerging from the laboratory.
Arman's Anger and the New Mission
Daren's phone rang. Daren answered Arman's call.
Arman (call): "So, did you manage to catch him?"
Daren (call): "Sorry, we didn't catch him. He got away."
Arman was furious, slamming the table hard.
Arman (call): "The three of you, return to base!"
Daren (call): "Understood."
Arman hung up the call. Time passed. Bianca, Daren, and Mac107 arrived in Arman's room.
Arman: "What's your reason for failing?"
Daren: "Sorry, we..."
Before Daren could finish his sentence, Arman, who was angry, cut him off.
Arman: "You've been here for a long time, and I gave you the latest equipment, but you still couldn't catch one criminal."
Arman took out a remote. When he pressed it, Mac107 was electrocuted by the collar he was wearing. Bianca and Daren tried to calm the pained Mac107.
Bianca: "Can you stop that? He's not a robot!"
Arman: "Why are you forbidding it? He deserves it. It seems like you two also need to be punished."
Suddenly, two soldiers holding stun weapons appeared at the entrance of Arman's room. Bianca and Daren were stunned by the shock pistols.
Suddenly, Arman's phone rang. Arman picked up the call with a smiling expression. Finally, the call ended.
Arman (talking to himself): "Finally, he's ready to fight. Maybe I should discard the three of them and focus on him."
Time passed. At night, the scene switched to a meeting room showing Arman and a woman with red hair.
Arman: "I have a mission for you."
Arman showed a photo of Kevin to the woman.
Arman: "Find information on him, and kill him while you're at it."
Woman: "Understood, proceeding."
