Chapter 12 - 12: Kamar-Taj Marks a New Threat

A normal Jason is only worth 300?

Luke was quite surprised, but thinking it over, it made sense. The original Jason was nothing more than a bulky idiot who couldn't even handle people hiding inside a car.

Throughout the entire series, he basically bullied novices, endlessly slaughtering ordinary people.

Yet in the end, he was always defeated by normal humans, and once—after finally being resurrected—he was completely sent back to hell.

Strictly speaking, aside from his infinite resurrection, Jason couldn't even withstand modern weaponry.

But this Jason—not only immortal—had evolved and resurrected more than a dozen times and had been modified with Marvel's BS technology.

Even if Thor showed up, at best he could suppress and seal him, or perhaps exile him.

In truth, Luke had many ways to put Jason to sleep permanently, but he preferred to attempt killing him outright to gain Anomaly Points.

"So… does this mean HYDRA accidentally did a good deed this time?"

Luke shook his head. Regardless, when the opportunity arose, he would definitely repay HYDRA with a return gift.

Whether that gift would be shocking or pleasant was another matter.

"But then again… I wonder if Jason can still be resurrected after dying this time. If he can—"

"Wouldn't that mean I could exploit this endlessly and farm Anomaly Points?"

Luke knew Jason had close ties with the demons of hell. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been resurrected so many times.

He was increasingly convinced that Jason was nothing more than the demons' black glove—used specifically to harvest souls and fear.

And to entertain themselves.

Luke first raised all of his attributes to the current version's maximum.

Strength, Intelligence, Agility, Endurance, Soul Strength, and Energy—all reached 90 points.

Name: Luke Rowling (Human)

Attributes:

Strength 90,

Intelligence 90,

Agility 90,

Endurance 90,

Soul Strength 90,

Energy 90

That was equivalent to nine times the human limit.

In numerical terms, it translated to roughly 2.5 Captain Americas!!

His previously depleted energy was instantly restored.

The sensation of being completely refilled brought an indescribable sense of spiritual comfort.

In Arnold Schwarzenegger's terms, it was comparable to the moment of ...release.

Next, Luke opened Jason's profile.

Name: Jason Voorhees (Marvel Steel Jason).

"Hmm? So for anomaly objects I kill and record, I can also extract their abilities?"

"Then Jason's abilities are…"

"Pain Nullification, Rebirth, Regeneration, Super Perception, Teleportation (Phantom), Possession, Soul Resistance, Mental Manipulation, Steel Body (Vibranium + Adamantium)…"

"Woah—Jason is actually this vicious?!"

Luke raised an eyebrow. Although almost all of Jason's abilities had significant drawbacks.

For example, Rebirth often required external conditions to be triggered.

Regeneration was a relatively low-level healing ability, far inferior to those of Deadpool or Wolverine.

Possession relied on his heart, entering a host's body through the mouth like a parasite, achieving an alternative form of rebirth through possession.

Even so, the flaws did not diminish the overall strength. Jason was an extremely well-rounded killing machine.

Especially after being enhanced by Marvel-level technology—even if the Avengers from the Infinity War era showed up, they would still have to put in serious effort to deal with him.

Luke was particularly envious of Jason's Super Perception, Steel Body, and Rebirth abilities.

Especially Super Perception.

Once Jason locked onto a target, even if that person fled ten thousand miles away, he could still precisely track them down to their doorstep.

That was practically the signature ability of a phantom-type existence.

I hope that as the Reality Editor continues to upgrade in the future, I'll be able to directly apply Jason's entire ability set.

"Should we go take a look at the center of the meteor impact?"

Madison was genuinely curious about the crater. She really wanted to see her Luke's masterpiece with her own eyes.

"Forget it. If we don't leave now, we won't be able to leave later."

Luke called Maria over, along with Yulinka and her mother.

"Are you coming with us, or are you driving back on your own?"

Jenny didn't speak. She simply stared straight at Luke, a gentle, alluring smile on her lips.

Yulinka blinked her large eyes and smiled innocently. "I just checked—our car is already broken. If Big Brother doesn't mind, can we stay with you temporarily? We don't have any money left right now. Once we earn some later, we'll definitely repay you properly."

Yulinka tugged on Jenny's hand, and Jenny nodded like a puppet.

"Yes, Mr. Luke," Jenny said softly. "I'll work three jobs every day to repay you."

Honestly, if a woman like this had said something like that before transmigration, it would have been pure fantasy.

But now… well, this already was a fantasy world, so never mind.

"Oh my God! My car!!"

Madison finally reacted to the conversation. Letting out a sharp cry, she shouted, "The car I just bought—was blown up by a meteor!"

"Ahem, don't be sad. Later, I'll give you an even better car—one that can freely change its appearance. How does that sound?"

Luke patted Madison on the shoulder to console her.

Hearing this, Madison instantly brightened. "Deal! You said it!"

Just then, Tommy—who'd noticed that the disturbance outside had died down—also came out, shotgun in hand, cautiously surveying the surroundings.

When his gaze fell on Luke, it grew especially complicated.

"Tommy, what are you planning to do next?" Luke asked casually.

Tommy was momentarily at a loss. His entire life had been tormented by Jason; the man had practically become his nightmare.

Now that Jason was truly dead, he didn't know what to do for the moment.

After a brief silence, Tommy spoke with firm resolve, "Jason will come back someday. I'll keep waiting for him until the next time we meet."

"But before that…"

He lifted his head and looked in the direction of Crystal Lake. "You said earlier that Jason's current state is connected to HYDRA. I'm going to go have a proper talk with HYDRA!"

War God Tommy vs. HYDRA!?

Luke found himself genuinely curious about how that confrontation would play out.

Moreover, Tommy had served as a protagonist multiple times, so he naturally carried a bit of protagonist halo.

He gave off a presence very similar to the Punisher.

"Alright. If you plan to stir up trouble with HYDRA in the future, let me know. As long as it's against HYDRA, no matter who it is, I—Luke Rowling—will definitely lend a hand!"

After saying goodbye to Tommy, Luke activated teleportation magic once more.

One man and four women stood within a blue light circle two meters in diameter. Although there was plenty of space, all the women deliberately pressed close to Luke.

Each of them wore expressions of fear and anxiety.

Yulinka also pretended to be frightened, but excitement and admiration flickered unmistakably in her blue eyes.

Luke knew perfectly well that, aside from Maria—who might truly be worried—everyone else was intentionally taking advantage of the situation.

But he didn't call it out. Heh~ why the fuck would he?

Under Tommy's envious gaze, Luke and the others vanished above the shattered ruins, leaving behind only faint motes of light.

Not long after Luke left,

three men dressed in yellow robes arrived at the scene through a golden circular portal.

"We're too late," one of them said calmly. "The person has already left."

"Immediately instruct our people to investigate who used high-level magic in the real world. We must take decisive action against such terrorists!"

"Yes, Master Mordo!"

Staring at the faint elemental residue still lingering in the air, Mordo's expression was grave.

Such destructive power… even he, Kamar-Taj's senior disciple, dared not underestimate it.

Perhaps only certain forbidden magics could reach such a terrifying level?

Even so...

Mordo silently steeled himself.

"No matter who you are, as long as you threaten the stability of the magical world, I will never allow you to continue spreading destruction!"

...

At the same time,

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters.

Nick Fury, as usual, stood on the top floor of the Triskelion, gently swirling the wine in his glass while gazing out the window in silence.

He liked the feeling of standing at the highest point; it made him feel as if everything was within his control.

Moreover, from up high, as long as the weather was clear, his field of vision extended much farther.

Suddenly, he felt the building tremble slightly—and on the distant horizon, a mushroom cloud seemed to be rising.

Nick Fury's expression changed drastically.

"Motherfucker! Did Stark blow the Arc reactor? Or.. Is it an Alien invasion?!"
