Cassia quickly went to make herself presentable. When she came out, she headed directly to Ivan. She did so with no preamble. She went directly to him and sat on his lap.
"Fancy meeting you here," she said as she sat on his lap.
"Fancy indeed," replied Ivan. "I don't have anything to offer you. If you're looking for the big boss, he's over there." Ivan pointed towards Aiden.
Cassia looked at him, pouting her lips. "I know he's the boss. What does that have to do with me? The boss's wife is right there." She pointed to Ember, who was sitting beside Aiden.
"Oh, how did you guess that?" Ivan asked.
Cassia turned to look at Ember and Aiden. "I think it's obvious. He looks at her like he wants to swallow her into his stomach. Isn't that enough of an indicator?"
Ivan wasn't sure what to say to that, so he shrugged.
"We have time," Cassia said. "Would you like to go in and give it a try?" She pointed to the room they had stayed in the previous night.
