Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 — Restructuring the Shadows

Taking control of the League of Shadows caused something I had expected.

Points.

An enormous amount of them.

Every member of the League now knew who I was. Hundreds of trained assassins, operatives, strategists, and informants were discussing the change in leadership. Rumors spread across their global networks, conversations taking place in hidden bases, encrypted channels, and underground meeting points.

Every discussion about me generated system points.

The accumulation was steady and massive.

And I immediately put those points to use.

The first thing I did was restructure the organization.

The League of Shadows had existed for centuries, but its structure was outdated for the kind of world I intended to control.

At the very top of the hierarchy was now me.

Direct authority.

Absolute command.

Below that, I created a special division.

The Akatsuki.

Unlike the rest of the League, the Akatsuki did not answer to anyone else in the organization. They reported directly to me and only me. Every mission involving high-level threats, superhuman opponents, or global-scale operations would be handled by them.

Nine elite shinobi.

Each one capable of fighting some of the strongest beings on Earth.

They were the spearhead of my power.

The rest of the League was reorganized into several operational branches.

Assassination.

Intelligence.

Logistics.

Political infiltration.

Financial networks.

I placed trusted leaders in charge of each sector, restructuring the command chain so that information flowed efficiently to the top.

But the biggest change I introduced was something entirely new for them.

Shinobi training.

The assassins of the League of Shadows were already highly skilled fighters. Many of them had mastered multiple martial arts styles and trained since childhood.

But compared to the taijutsu systems of the ninja world, their combat techniques were inefficient.

I began writing down the foundational knowledge of ninja taijutsu.

Body movement.

Joint strikes.

High-speed directional changes.

Pressure point attacks.

Combat mobility.

Even without chakra, the techniques themselves could still be used.

Human bodies could still be trained to move faster, strike more efficiently, and adapt to combat situations more fluidly.

I placed the knowledge onto training scrolls and distributed them to the League's instructors.

Within months, their fighters would begin evolving into something far more dangerous than ordinary assassins.

But that wasn't the only structural addition.

I created a new division within the League.

A covert unit.

An elite black-operations force.

The ANBU.

This group would handle missions that required absolute secrecy. Assassinations, infiltration of hostile organizations, intelligence extraction, and high-risk operations that could not be traced back to the League.

Their headquarters would exist inside a newly constructed section of the base.

Hidden.

Restricted.

Accessible only through sealed entrances.

But the most important part was their personnel.

I opened the system shop again.

The points I had accumulated from the League's loyalty gave me the opportunity to expand my forces even further.

So I made the purchase.

ANBU Unit.

Eight figures appeared instantly inside the summoning chamber.

Each one wore the traditional ANBU uniform.

Black armor.

Porcelain masks.

Tattoo markings across their arms.

They materialized silently and immediately knelt before me.

In their minds, I was their leader.

Their Kage.

Their loyalty was absolute.

"Rise," I told them.

They stood instantly.

Without hesitation.

Without question.

Perfect soldiers.

I directed them toward the newly established ANBU headquarters within the League base. They moved through the halls like shadows, already adapting to their new environment.

But I wasn't finished yet.

I still had points remaining.

So I continued purchasing.

The next figure appeared quietly.

A young man with dark hair and calm eyes.

Yamato.

This version of him had not yet become a teacher or leader. He was still the elite operative trained under Danzo's control.

But now his loyalty belonged to me.

More importantly, he possessed Wood Release.

A rare and extremely valuable ability.

He bowed immediately.

"Orders?"

"You'll assist in structural construction and special operations."

His Wood Style would allow him to create defensive structures, secure bases, and manipulate terrain during missions.

He nodded once.

Efficient.

Disciplined.

Exactly what I expected.

The next summon was another elite operative.

Torune Aburame.

He appeared with his usual calm expression, his body housing the dangerous nano-sized insects of the Aburame clan.

Torune was a genius strategist and poison specialist.

His insects could infect targets instantly and destroy their bodies from within.

A terrifying weapon.

But an extremely useful one.

He knelt briefly before standing again.

Awaiting instruction.

The final summon was someone even more valuable.

Kabuto Yakushi.

A prodigy.

Spy.

Medical ninja.

Scientist.

Researcher.

One of the most intelligent minds to ever exist in the shinobi world.

He looked around the chamber with sharp curiosity.

Then his gaze settled on me.

Understanding immediately that I was his superior.

Kabuto bowed slightly.

"Interesting situation you've brought me into."

"You'll have access to research facilities soon," I replied.

That answer made him smile faintly.

Exactly what he wanted.

Knowledge.

Experimentation.

Discovery.

With Kabuto working for me, my access to medical advancements, biological research, and chakra experimentation would expand dramatically.

After the final summoning, the system interface dimmed.

The points were gone.

Almost completely.

From thousands…

Down to nearly nothing.

Eighty-six points remained.

Not enough to purchase anything meaningful.

But that didn't matter.

Because the investments I had just made were enormous.

The League of Shadows had been transformed.

The Akatsuki now stood as my elite combat force.

The ANBU operated as a covert black-ops division.

Yamato provided Wood Style and structural control.

Torune added deadly biological warfare capabilities.

Kabuto opened the door to advanced research and medical development.

The organization was no longer just a secret assassin society.

It was evolving into something far more powerful.

A global shadow empire.

And with the Justice League already investigating the Akatsuki…

It would only be a matter of time before the world began to realize just how large that empire had become.
