Chapter 9 - 9: Adventure

The next day, by the shore.

"Hey, Rolan! I can't swim, and this tiny boat can't fit the three of us," Luffy complained, looking at the small vessel resting on the beach. "You're not being serious, are you?"

Although Rolan could fly, he had built this small boat for convenience, carrying it with him to every island he visited. Even after more than three years, it remained perfectly intact.

"Of course not this boat," Rolan replied, crossing his arms. "Something like this doesn't match my style. Wait here."

In an instant, he vanished in a flash, reappearing thousands of meters away.

Inside his system space, Rolan found the Pirate Ship, though it appeared no larger than a toy model.

"Oi, system, you're kidding, right? This thing's tiny. Who's supposed to fit inside that?"

He sighed, waving his hand dismissively. "Forget it, let's just take it out first."

As soon as he summoned it, the miniature ship began to expand on the ground, growing rapidly into a thirty-meter-long vessel. Its design resembled the Thousand Sunny, except the figurehead wasn't a lion—it was a sleek, sharp, bullet-shaped head. Metallic patterns spiraled across the hull, giving it an aura of strength and precision.

Every part of the ship came to life before Rolan's eyes—the Captain's lounge, conference room, aquarium, kitchen, large bathroom, library, training room, research lab, lookout tower, and more. Even the crew quarters were each separate and spacious private rooms.

When Rolan stepped inside, he realized something incredible: each room was far larger than the ship's physical size should allow.

"Spatial compression, huh?" he murmured, clearly impressed.

He entered the training area and found it divided into two zones. One was filled with advanced training equipment, resembling a modern gym from his past life. The other was an empty chamber with a wooden sign above the door that read: Gravity Room.

Stepping inside, Rolan noticed that gravity seemed unchanged. After thinking for a moment, he realized it needed his electromagnetic force to activate.

He spread his arms, letting electromagnetic energy flow outward. Gradually, the room's pressure increased—first doubling, then tripling—until it reached fifty times normal gravity.

Even Rolan was nearing his limit. But he smiled with satisfaction. "This Gravity Room is going to be perfect for training."

Dragging the massive ship back to the shore, Rolan called out, "Alright, guys, check this out!"

Luffy's jaw dropped. "Wow! Rolan, this is your Pirate Ship? It's amazing! So cool!"

Ace's eyes widened in disbelief. "You built this?"

Rolan chuckled, waving them over. "Let's go, get on board."

Luffy immediately leapt onto the ship, eyes sparkling like a kid in a candy store.

"Whoa! There's even grass here—and a swing!" Luffy shouted as he rolled across the lawn.

Ace looked around, impressed but more composed. "This thing's on another level."

Rolan nodded, clearly pleased. This is just the basic model. I can't wait to see what the advanced version will look like.

"Hey, Rolan," Ace said, scratching his head. "We're still on the beach. How are you planning to get this thing into the water?"

"Watch closely," Rolan said, raising his hands. "Electromagnetic Force."

Waves of energy pulsed beneath the ship, and to their astonishment, the ship began to rise.

"Whoa! Sugoi! The ship's flying!" Luffy yelled, running in circles on the deck with stars in his eyes.

Ace stood speechless. He'd read plenty of newspapers but had never once heard of a flying ship.

A moment later, Rolan gently lowered the ship onto the sea's surface.

Flying constantly would burn too much stamina, so he focused his electromagnetic force at the stern instead, creating a steady propulsion that carried the ship forward smoothly.

"Wow! So this is the ocean! It's huge!" Luffy shouted from the bow, arms spread wide.

Ace leaned against the railing, gazing out at the endless blue.

Watching them, Rolan couldn't help but smile. "Ah, youth…"

He spread his electromagnetic sense outward, a thirty-kilometer field covering the surrounding sea. Aside from the island behind them, no other ships or Marine vessels appeared nearby.

"Looks peaceful," he murmured.

Luffy, still hyped, ran from side to side. "The ocean's so big and shiny! This is awesome!"

Ace just chuckled, shaking his head.

Rolan had originally planned to start their Gravity training right away, but seeing the boys' excitement, he decided to let them have their fun. They were still young, after all.

Cough… Even though I'm technically still young too, my soul's that of a thirty-five-year-old man, Rolan thought with a wry grin.

A flock of seagulls flew overhead, calling out as they circled the ship.

Rolan looked up, his gaze softening. The bright blue sky, the white clouds, the glistening sea—it was breathtaking.

In his past life on Earth, he'd seen the ocean before, but back then, the sky had always been dull and gray, and the water polluted beyond recognition.

He sighed contentedly. "Yeah… I've been training nonstop. Guess it's time to relax a little."

He leaned against the railing, letting the wind wash over him. With a thought, he unfurled the sails using electromagnetic force, then released the propulsion, letting the ship drift naturally with the current.

He wasn't sure how much time had passed when Luffy suddenly shouted, "I see an island! I see an island! Let's go, adventure time!"

"An island, huh?" Rolan stood up, activating his Super Heart Net.

Instantly, his senses enveloped the entire island, revealing chaos—fires, shouting, and the clash of weapons.

"Looks like there's trouble brewing," Rolan said, a small grin forming on his face. "Let's go. Things are about to get interesting."

With a surge of electromagnetic power, the ship accelerated across the sea toward the distant island.
