Chapter 473 - 473: The Seduction Trap

Upon hearing this, Nami could not help but inwardly grumble, thinking, "Then what the hell are you talking about?"

Martin bowed slightly to Nami and said, "Lovely Miss Nami, there are a few things I do not understand. I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me."

Seeing such a polite Divine Knight, Nami decided to see what he was truly after.

"What questions does the Divine Knight have?" Nami asked, throwing him a faint, flirtatious glance.

When Martin saw Nami like this, a warmth rose in his lower abdomen, and a trace of lewdness flashed in his eyes. It vanished almost instantly.

But even that fleeting change did not escape Nami's notice.

So that's it, Nami thought. Just another hypocrite pretending to be a gentleman.

Martin slowly began, "It is just a bit of a pity."

Nami tilted his head slightly, as if puzzled, waiting for him to continue.

Martin shook his head with a regretful expression. "It is a pity, young lady, that you are so beautiful."

Nami almost found it amusing. "Why does the Divine Knight say that?"

"This world is inherently divided into black and white. You are aligned with pirates. After this war, pirates will cease to exist. You may very well perish as well."

Nami now clearly understood the underlying meaning behind this man's words.

"So what does the Divine Knight intend?"

His gaze sharpened slightly, though his tone remained light. "This humble one does not wish to be a pirate either. Does the Divine Knight have any suggestion?"

As he spoke, his expression remained composed, but every subtle movement was intentional, drawing attention.

Martin felt that familiar heat rise again, though he quickly forced himself to maintain his righteous persona.

"I can certainly point you toward a clear path," he said.

"What kind of path would that be?" Nami asked, tapping his cheek lightly with his finger, almost teasingly.

Martin gestured toward the devastated Brown Plaza. "Miss Nami, do you think the World Government's forces here are all there is?"

He shook his head. "Of course not. This is merely a fraction of its true power."

"And yet even this is enough to overwhelm the pirates."

"If you insist on remaining with pirates, what is about to happen will be beyond what even a mere member of the Divine Knights like myself can fully control."

Nami's lips curled slightly. "This humble one does not wish to be a pirate either. But what can I do? As a weak individual, I can only rely on strength to survive at sea."

Martin chuckled. "Then surely you understand that pirates represent evil, and the World Government represents justice. There is only one path left: abandon darkness and step into the light. Join the World Government."

As he spoke, his expression shifted into mock conflict. "It is just…"

"Just what?" Nami prompted.

"It is difficult for me to arrange."

Nami extended a finger and lightly tapped his cheek again. "Even as a Divine Knight, there are things you cannot accomplish?"

That small gesture struck Martin harder than expected. He nearly lost his composure.

"Because approval to enter Mary Geoise requires the consent of the Gorosei," Martin explained, "and you are currently a pirate."

Then he quickly added, "However, there is another way."

He frowned as if genuinely struggling with the idea.

Nami watched him in silence. Let's see what nonsense comes next.

Martin hesitated. "It means… you would have to suffer a little."

After a pause, he looked directly at Nami. "As long as you and I become husband and wife, you can legitimately become a resident of Mary Geoise. From then on, you will be under the protection of the World Government."

A faint trace of disgust flickered in Nami's eyes before disappearing. "How could someone like me dare to climb so high and marry a noble Divine Knight?"

Martin looked Nami over and replied, "You are naturally beautiful. Marrying you would be me marrying up. However, I already have a wife, so you would have to accept the position of concubine."

At that, Nami's expression grew colder.

Without warning, he staggered and collapsed to the ground.

Seeing this, Martin immediately rushed forward, instinctively reaching out, before remembering his "gentlemanly" image and kneeling instead.

"Miss Nami, what is wrong?" he asked softly.

Nami lowered his gaze and slowly unbuttoned part of his upper clothing.

A portion of his toned chest was revealed.

Martin's control shattered instantly. His eyes widened, turning almost heart-shaped, nostrils flaring as steam seemed to rise from his head.

He reached out with both hands toward Nami.

At that moment, an overwhelming pressure crushed down on him.

A sharp suffocating force struck his mind, followed by an invisible impact as if his head had been slammed by something immense.

He collapsed instantly.

His consciousness plunged into darkness.

Nami calmly rebuttoned his clothing and stood up.

Then he kicked the fallen Divine Knight.

"Idiot. Delusional."

His expression remained cold as he raised his hand. A white spear condensed in his grasp.

Armament Haki wrapped around it, turning the spearhead jet black as an oppressive aura spread outward.

He aimed at Martin, preparing to finish him.

"Stop!"

A shout rang out.

A violent attack followed immediately after.

Nami paused slightly, halting his motion. He turned his head.

A fat Divine Knight was rushing in, weapon raised, gun aimed directly at him.

The moment the man was about to fire—

Crackle.

Lightning struck down in front of him.

Nami did not hesitate. He thrust the spear forward.

Splat.

The Divine Knight was pierced instantly, dying on the spot.

A powerful member of the Divine Knights had fallen due to his own lust. This became the first high-level casualty on Brown Plaza so far.

The fat Divine Knight froze in shock.

Although they were all members of the same order, they usually despised one another. Yet to outsiders, they were still comrades of the same faction.

Seeing one of their own killed so easily was a humiliation.

"Damn demon," the fat man roared. "What did you do to Martin? I will kill you!"

He pulled the trigger.

Bang!

But the gun exploded in his hand instead.

His face turned blackened, his hair frizzed outward.

A mocking laugh echoed. "Yeha ha ha ha. Trying to act tough in front of a god? Who gave you that courage?"

The fat Divine Knight's expression tightened as he stared at the figure formed from lightning.

"Thunder God Enel?"
