The security alarm blared throughout the Direndra mansion.
Red lights spun rapidly, reflecting off the glass walls.
Kenan ran into the control room, his face tense, headset pressed to his ear.
"Boss, the system has been breached from inside!" he shouted.
"Someone accessed the main server on the lower floor!"
Alaska immediately rose from his chair.
His eyes sharpened, his voice turning cold.
"Lock all automatic doors. Don't let anyone out."
"Even Kira?" Kenan asked hesitantly.
"Especially Kira."
In the Underground Archive Room
Kira walked quickly down the long corridor, tablet in hand.
The overhead lights flickered, some already out.
She entered a code on the wall, opening the digital archive room where the Direndra mafia's old data was stored.
On the tablet screen appeared a line of code:
ECHO Sequence Unlocked. Target Direndra Bloodline.
"Sorry, Alaska," she whispered.
"But you can't run from the past."
Suddenly, heavy footsteps echoed behind her.
Kira turned Alaska stood there, accompanied by Kenan and two armed guards.
"Do you know what I hate most?" Alaska's voice was heavy.
"Treachery from someone I once trusted."
Kira met his gaze, eyes soft but determined.
"You don't understand, Al. All of this is for you too."
"For me? You leaked my security system to the rest of Rave's people, and you call this for me?"
"Because they aren't just Rave's people!" Kira shouted, emotional.
"They shaped you back then! They have secrets that can free you from your past sins!"
Kenan looked at Alaska, confused.
"What does she mean?"
Kira stared directly at Alaska.
"You think Aksa died because of Rave? No. You were made to believe that. There was someone else who pulled the trigger when he died… someone inside your own organization."
Shattered Truth
The room fell silent.
The sound of rain outside seemed muffled by the tension in the air.
"Don't play games with me, Kira," Alaska's voice dropped, but trembled.
"I was the one who found Aksa's body back then."
"Yes," Kira stepped forward slowly.
"But you didn't see who left him first, did you?"
Kenan stared at the old CCTV footage Kira opened on the tablet.
The blurry black-and-white video showed a young man dragging someone out of a burning warehouse.
And in the corner of the screen, the face was clear Kenan.
Alana, who had just arrived in the room, widened her eyes.
"Kenan… is that you?"
Kenan froze, his body stiff.
"That… it's not what you think."
"Enough!" Alaska shouted, glaring at his own friend.
"You said you came when I was unconscious!"
"I did come! But everything was chaos!" Kenan shouted back.
"I tried to save Aksa, but Rave already bombed the place!"
"And you left him to survive on your own?" Alaska's voice shook.
"You left my little brother to die alone!"
Kenan looked down, unable to answer.
A long silence filled the room, only the heavy heartbeat of everyone could be heard.
Kira Reveals Her True Goal
"Now you understand why I launched Project Echo?" Kira said softly.
"The truth has been hidden too long. You deserve to know who your real enemy is."
"And you think I'd trust you after you destroyed my system?" Alaska stepped closer, eyes sharp.
"You're just reopening old wounds for personal reasons."
"Maybe," Kira whispered.
"But without me, you'd never know betrayal can come from the person you consider your own family."
The Collapse of Trust
Alana held Alaska's arm, trying to calm his emotions.
"Don't make a decision now. You need to be calm first."
"Calm?" Alaska looked at her coldly.
"She's someone I've trusted for years."
"And if you lose control again, you'll repeat everything you promised you'd never do."
Alana's soft voice made Alaska pause.
He took a deep breath, then said flatly:
"Kenan, get out of here. Now. I don't want to see your face yet."
Kenan's eyes reddened.
"Yes, boss."
He turned, walking slowly out of the room, carrying guilt heavier than any bullet.
End of Chapter
Kira stared at Alaska and Alana still standing in the middle of the room.
"You think this is the end, Al?" she said calmly.
"Echo has just begun. And you haven't seen the real mastermind yet."
Alaska glared at her.
"If you keep playing with fire, Kira… I'll be the one to put it out myself."
Kira gave a slight smile.
"We'll see."
She walked away, leaving a chill behind.
Alana looked at Alaska, knowing that the old wound she had just helped heal was now open again. And in his eyes not just anger, but deep sorrow as well.
