The city swallowed the moonlight as Alaska and Kenan rode out with their convoy, engines purring like restless beasts. Streetlights flashed over the sleek black cars Direndra insignias gleaming like silent warnings.
"Same pattern as last week," Kenan muttered.
"Someone's testing us again."
Alaska didn't respond. His jaw was tight, eyes fixed forward. The only thing occupying his mind wasn't the enemy
but the girl he'd left behind.
Back at the mansion, Alana paced the empty living room, her arms wrapped around herself. Every clock tick felt like a countdown she couldn't escape.
What if something happened to him?
What if he didn't come home this time?
The fear gnawed at her chest until she couldn't stand still any longer.
She grabbed her jacket.
The patrol route cut through the industrial district a maze of rusted steel and shadow. Alaska stepped out of the car, scanning the rooftops.
Kenan glanced at him.
"You're thinking about her."
"Shut up," Alaska muttered.
But Kenan only smirked.
"Love makes you reckless."
Before Alaska could retort, something metallic clattered near his boot.
A tiny drone no larger than a coin blinked red.
Alaska reacted instantly.
"Back!"
BOOM.
The explosion shattered windows across the block.
Gunfire burst from the rooftops.
Kenan and the guards retaliated, bullets slicing the darkness.
Alaska's voice cut through the chaos cold, commanding:
"Leave one alive. I want answers."
Alana arrived in the district just as the first shots cracked through the air.
Her breath froze.
No, No, No, No.
She ran heart racing, lungs burning following the sound of violence.
She reached the mouth of an alley and froze.
Alaska stood in the center of the battlefield like a king of death.
His coat whipped with the wind, gun steady, expression carved from stone.
A man crawled on the ground toward him, coughing blood.
"You… you're Direndra… You should've died years ago."
Bang.
Alaska shot him through the skull without hesitation.
Alana gasped.
Alaska's gaze snapped toward her his eyes widening with disbelief.
"Alana?"
He stormed toward her, grabbing her shoulders.
"What are you doing here?!" he hissed.
"I Iwas worried. I didn't know I couldn't."
She couldn't breathe. The blood on his hands. The coldness in his voice.
"You could've died," he growled.
His hands trembled not with anger, but with sheer terror.
Kenan jogged over, but froze when Alaska shot him a lethal look
Don't come closer.
Alaska cupped Alana's jaw, forcing her eyes to meet his.
"This world… my world… is not for you. When I'm gone, you stay where it's safe. Do you understand?"
Tears slipped down her cheeks.
"I'm scared too, Alaska. I'm scared you'll leave and never return."
His chest tightened at her words.
"I don't care if I bleed," she whispered, voice quivering.
"I just… don't want to lose you."
For a moment, the battle vanished.
There was only her.
Alaska's lips brushed her forehead soft, protective, desperate.
"I'm the one who loses myself without you."
Suddenly, a phone vibrated in Alaska's pocket.
He pulled it out.
A message appeared no name, only a symbol:
a crow.
Nice ring on the girl's finger.
She looks much prettier up close.
Alaska froze.
A photo followed taken just minutes ago.
Alana in that very alley.
A red dot aimed at her heart.
Rage pure and murderous flashed in his eyes.
"Get her behind cover!" he barked.
Kenan grabbed her gently and pulled her away.
Alaska stepped into the open, voice dark as the abyss.
"KAVRON!"
The night fell silent.
Then a cold laugh echoed through the broken building across the street.
A silhouette emerged crow tattoo visible beneath his sleeve.
"Well, well," Kavron taunted.
"The lost son of Direndra is still alive… and in love."
Alaska lifted his weapon, every muscle coiled to kill.
"You touched what's mine."
His voice was deadly quiet.
"For that, I'll end you slowly."
Kavron only smiled.
"That obsession will destroy you, Alaska."
Shadows surged behind him dozens of armed men.
But Alaska didn't flinch. He stepped forward like a storm wearing a human form.
Alana's heart pounded as she watched.
This man the one she loved was terrifying.
A monster born of blood and vengeance.
And yet…Every heartbeat screamed the same truth. I want him. I need him.
Even if it meant walking into darkness with him.
The city lights flickered like dying stars as Alaska charged into the battle, every bullet a promise:
No one touches Alana.
No one takes her from me. Not while I still breathe. And Alana realized. Love with Alaska would never be peaceful.
It would be fire.
It would be war.
It would be obsession
And she had already surrendered.
