Chapter 169 - Chapter 165 — Forging a Star’s Heart

My first idea for creating a kyber-like energy source was… obvious.

Why not use the Reality Stone?

I had worn it around my neck for nearly two thousand years.Studied it. Mastered it. Understood it in ways no mere MCU character ever could. The stone wasn't just a weapon—it was practically an extension of my mind now. With it, I could craft matter from nothing, warp physics, twist illusions, overwrite natural laws.

So I thought:

If kyber crystals channel raw cosmic energy… why not have the Reality Stone create a crystal infused directly with its power?

A simple idea.

In theory.

In reality? It nearly blew up half a lab.

Because the Reality Stone's energy was too unstable, too overwhelming. Yes, I could create a crystal-like substance, but nothing known in this universe could contain or channel that level of reality-warping energy safely. Vibranium could hold it for a short period—but channel it? Direct it? No. It would just store the energy and then shatter violently.

Even Uru, despite its divine origin, wasn't enough on its own. It was great for runes, sure, but not for stabilizing an Infinity Stone's output.

I sighed to myself at the time, remembering the centuries of trial and error.I'd lived long enough to be patient. But this still tested me.

Stone Integration

Thankfully, the Foundation had collected more than the Reality Stone over the centuries.

We had the Space Stone. We had the Time Stone. We had studied every Infinity Stone we could access, memorizing patterns, resonances, quantum signatures.

And after two full years of research—two years even with Rick Prime's mind and Ōtsutsuki intellect—I finally crafted something viable:

A hybrid crystal matrix composed of:

Refined Vibranium for energy absorption

Uru alloy for divine-level stability

Complex runic arrays to channel magical flow

Advanced sealing formulas (Fūinjutsu) to regulate internal resonance

Yin–Yang chakra to balance and shape the output

A controlled injection of Tesseract (Space Stone) energy to anchor the beam's direction and maintain coherence

All infused within a crystalline lattice created through the Reality Stone's manipulation.

The result?

A perfect kyber substitute.Stable. Potent. Channelable. And capable of focusing a planetary-destruction-level laser without ripping itself apart.

A heart worthy of a Death Star.

I couldn't help but smile at the glowing crystal sphere held in my hands. It pulsed gently, like a sleeping star.

"We finally did it…" I whispered to myself.

Contacting Thrawn

With the core problem solved, construction no longer needed to crawl at a careful, experimental pace. We could finally move ahead with full steam.

Using my comms link, I opened a direct channel to Thrawn—the calm, brilliant tactician I had summoned centuries ago. Master strategist. Cold mind. Loyal subordinate. The perfect commander of the Mars colony and the entire space fleet.

"Thrawn," I said, my voice echoing with satisfaction, "initiate Phase Two of the Death Star construction. The energy core is ready."

There was a pause on his end—brief, analytical, respectful.

"…Excellent," he replied. "I will mobilize every available shipyard. Mars is ready to begin full-scale assembly."

The hologram flickered with his familiar, composed presence, blue skin illuminated by the red of the Martian sky behind him.

"This will be the greatest structure ever built under your command," he said. "And the greatest deterrent the universe will ever know."

I smirked, tilting my head just slightly.

"Oh, Thrawn… you underestimate me. This is only the beginning."
