Chapter 561 - You Are Not Worthy to be My Woman!

Chapter 561: You Are Not Worthy to be My Woman!

"Heh~"

The cold and beautiful woman in black sneered, her eyes disdainfully looking at Shen Anyu, as if certain Shen Anyu wouldn't dare.

Shen Anyu, however, smiled, looking at the cold and beautiful woman in black with a grin, and said,

"Are you trying to provoke me, to make me put you down so you can launch a sneak attack?"

The cold and beautiful woman in black's clear voice echoed in the secret chamber:

"That's right, do you dare?"

"No."

"…"

The word, spoken so casually, hung in the air like a guillotine that had suddenly halted its fall. Bai Bing's reddish-brown eyes, which had seen a thousand deaths and held the frost of a thousand winters, widened in sheer disbelief. Her mind, a precision instrument honed for assassination and psychological warfare, momentarily stuttered. She had anticipated every possible response: arrogant laughter, lustful compliance, a brutish display of force. She had her counters ready for each one—a hidden blade, a burst of killing intent, a final suicidal gambit.

But 'no'?

A simple, direct, and utterly pragmatic refusal. It was a move so far outside the playbook of arrogant young masters she had studied and eliminated that it left her completely wrong-footed. 'Shouldn't he… shouldn't he just drop me?' she thought, a flicker of genuine confusion disrupting her icy composure. 'Shouldn't he pin me down, use his overwhelming power to break me, and then do as he pleases? That's what men like him do. They prove their dominance.'

Instead, this man, this enigmatic Young Master of the Yanxia Shen Family, simply stood there with a disarming smile, utterly unbothered by her challenge to his masculinity. He hadn't just dodged the bait; he had pointed at it, identified it as bait, and then refused to even acknowledge it as a temptation. The sheer confidence it took to do that was, in its own way, more intimidating than any physical threat.

Shen Anyu's smile didn't waver, showing not a hint of embarrassment. He found the situation rather amusing. Joking aside, this wasn't some common thug or arrogant martial artist. This was a Reincarnator from the Main God Reincarnation Game. The very title implied a universe of unknown variables. Who knew what kind of bizarre, reality-defying trump cards she might have concealed on her person?

'For all I know, she could have a capsule that releases a modified T-virus, or some other exotic biochemical weapon from a world I've never heard of,' Shen Anyu mused. His mind raced through the possibilities. A miniature black hole generator? A one-use scroll of instant teleportation? A psionic scrambler that could disrupt his own psychic abilities? The Main God's system was infamous for its eclectic and often overpowered rewards.

While his current cultivation and the profound secrets of the Two-Aspects Life-Death Medical Scripture made him largely immune to conventional toxins and viruses, why take the gamble? Why risk an unknown variable for a moment of ego-driven satisfaction? There was absolutely no need. Prudence was a virtue, especially when dealing with anomalies like her.

With a leisurely grace, Shen Anyu walked over to a chair and sat down, crossing his legs. His Psychic power remained locked onto the woman, a tangible but invisible force holding her suspended in the air. She was a beautiful, deadly specimen pinned for observation. He gestured to one of his subordinates, who had been waiting silently in the shadows. The order was given without a word, a simple nod, and the vast intelligence apparatus at his command roared to life.

Information began to flow. The networks of the Yanxia Shen Family, reinforced by the equally formidable resources of the Yanxia An Family, cross-referenced databases, hacked into secured servers, and pulled on strings in the global underworld. Within minutes, a complete dossier materialized on his tablet.

Shen Anyu casually swiped through the data, his eyes scanning the details of a life forged in blood and betrayal. Then, he began to read aloud, his voice calm and measured, each word a carefully placed stone dropped into the silent pool of the chamber.

"Bai Bing, twenty-nine years old. Codename: Ice Phoenix. A renowned gold-medal female assassin in the international Dark World, with a reputation on par with Blood Shadow Rose. Cold, beautiful, and terrifyingly powerful. Originates from the top-tier assassin clan, the Bai Family. She is the eldest daughter of Bai Xingzhi, the current Bai Family Patriarch."

He paused, letting the words sink in, watching for any reaction. Her face remained a mask of ice.

"In the ten years since her debut, she has a confirmed kill count of one thousand, eight hundred and seventy-three. Her methods are noted as extremely ruthless, merciless, and efficient. No distinction is made between the old, the weak, the sick, or the disabled. No consideration is given to morality, good, or evil. Targets are simply… removed."

He swiped the screen again. "Interestingly, she has even assassinated more than one member of the Bai Family itself."

A flicker. So faint it was almost imperceptible, but his senses caught it.

"Three days ago, she successfully assassinated her biological uncle. The Bai Family has discovered clues implicating her and is currently conducting a high-level pursuit."

Shen Anyu looked up from the tablet, a flicker of genuine interest in his eyes as he met Bai Bing's cold gaze. He spoke her name for the first time, his tone leisurely.

"Bai Bing, Ice Phoenix… is that you?"

Bai Bing's expression, if possible, grew even colder. The temperature in the room seemed to drop a few degrees. A low, humorless snort escaped her lips. "The Yanxia Shen Family's intelligence network is indeed impressive," she said, her voice dripping with scorn. "But how could the world possibly know that the infamous, profligate Young Master Shen Anyu is secretly a powerhouse of this caliber? What a pity. Even with strength rivaling a Heaven-ranked expert, you are still nothing but a coward."

Shen Anyu merely smiled, completely impervious to her goading. He certainly wasn't about to put her down. Instead, he continued reading from the report, his voice taking on a slightly more sympathetic, almost narrative tone.

"Your birth mother… she was a woman of ordinary status, but her beauty was anything but. She fell in love with Bai Xingzhi, the man who would become the Bai Family Patriarch. A classic tragedy. How could a woman with a common background and mediocre Aptitude ever be accepted as the Matriarch of the Bai Family?"

He watched her carefully. Her jaw was clenched tight.

"Your grandfather, Bai Wuqing, personally intervened to sever their connection. He didn't just break them apart; he directly ordered your mother's death. And your father… your esteemed father, Bai Xingzhi, stood by and watched as the woman he supposedly loved died a tragic death. He remained completely unmoved…"

"Shut up!"

The two words ripped through the air, sharp and brittle as shattering ice. It was the first genuine crack in her armor. Bai Bing's face was a storm of frost, her beautiful eyes blazing with a chilling light as she stared at Shen Anyu. She enunciated each subsequent word with venomous clarity, "They are not my grandfather and father. They are beasts!"

"Are you angry?" Shen Anyu asked, his lips curling into a half-smile, his expression still infuriatingly relaxed.

Bai Bing's face was like sculpted ice. She said nothing, but her silence was a scream.

"Alright," Shen Anyu said, his tone suddenly accommodating and understanding. "Then let's not mention those two beasts."

Bai Bing's eyes flickered, a hint of surprise piercing through her rage. She had expected him to press the advantage, to twist the knife of her past to break her spirit. This sudden concession was… unexpected. Was this another one of his games?

"How peculiar. Does the dignified Young Master of the Yanxia Shen Family actually have a considerate side?" Bai Bing's clear, cold voice returned, laced with a heavy dose of sarcasm.

"Of course," Shen Anyu replied with a slight, charming smile. "I, Shen Anyu, have always been gentle and considerate. But only towards the women of my family. Towards my enemies… I am very cruel."

"You want me to be your woman?" The sneer was back, colder and more contemptuous than ever. "Heh. You truly are a disgusting man." Bai Bing felt she had finally seen through his facade. This was the true endgame. It was a scenario she had faced countless times. Disgusting, powerful men who coveted her beauty, who wanted to possess the legendary Ice Phoenix. In the end, she had killed them all. To her, beauty was a useless, troublesome burden. Only the sword in her hand was real.

"No."

Once again, that simple, devastating word. Shen Anyu shook his head slowly, a playful, almost predatory glint in his eyes as he looked her up and down.

"You are not qualified to be my woman. To be my female slave, however… you are."

Female slave?

The air crackled. The last vestiges of Bai Bing's forced composure shattered completely. Her eyes instantly turned into frozen daggers, radiating a killing intent so pure and concentrated it felt like a physical force. No one had ever dared to speak to her like that. Anyone who had even hinted at such a thing had become a cold corpse long ago, their throats slit before they could finish the sentence.

If an ordinary person were the target of that gaze—the full, unbridled murderous aura of the gold-medal assassin Ice Phoenix—their hair would stand on end, their bladder would loosen, and their heart would seize in terror.

But Shen Anyu simply remained seated, his legs still crossed, the smile never leaving his handsome face. His gaze was now one of pure appreciation, as if he were admiring a masterpiece of art.

A storm of shame and rage churned within Bai Bing, fueled by his objectifying stare. Yet she was powerless, held fast by his psychic grip, suspended in mid-air like an insect trapped in amber, unable to move a single muscle. The anger and frustration were overwhelming, but beneath them, a foreign and utterly unwelcome sensation flickered to life—a hint of shyness.

After all, no matter how cold-faced and cold-hearted, a female assassin was still a woman. Certain instincts were primal.

But Bai Bing was no ordinary woman. With a furious act of will, she crushed that flicker of vulnerability, banishing it from her mind. Her eyes regained their clarity and coldness as she locked gazes with Shen Anyu, her sarcastic, frigid voice ringing out once more.

"So, you're just going to hang me here? And watch? Those who know might think you're 'taming a hawk.' But those who don't might think the dignified Young Master of the Yanxia Shen Family is just a powerless fool who can only look."

"Has anyone ever told you that you have a very sharp tongue?" Shen Anyu asked, not a trace of anger in his voice. He seemed genuinely amused.

"Thank you for the compliment." Bai Bing, hearing her tongue described as 'sharp,' didn't get angry either. She offered a polite, clipped response, her tone still drenched in sarcasm and disdain.

Shen Anyu made a final judgment in his heart. This woman, Bai Bing, no longer cared about her own life or death. The normal emotional levers that worked on other people—fear, desire, ambition—were almost nonexistent in her. Only the wound of her mother's death and the festering hatred for the Bai Family could stir a faint echo of emotion, but even that was buried deep under layers of ice.

'You wouldn't want to be unable to avenge yourself, would you?' Such a line would be useless on a woman like her. Her heart still beat in her chest, but her soul was already dead. Even a direct promise to help her exact revenge would likely be met with cynical disbelief.

"Heh heh," Bai Bing's chilling laugh echoed faintly. She saw the shift in his gaze, the subtle change that told her he was re-evaluating his strategy. "You know that 'taming a hawk' won't make me submit, so you plan to kill me? Or… are you going to do some of your disgusting things before you kill me?" Her voice was a razor blade, filled with intense sarcasm and an utter contempt for him and all men like him.

"I said," Shen Anyu's voice was soft, yet it cut through her taunts like a diamond through glass. "You are not qualified to be my woman. But you are qualified to be my female slave. Very much so." He smiled slightly and reached out his hand. In Bai Bing's shocked and utterly disbelieving gaze, a rainbow-colored light suddenly bloomed in his palm!
