Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: Building a Nest and Domestic Warmth

It took a great deal of effort to find a relatively sturdy ancient hardwood tree with luxuriant foliage; the only issue was that it had rather too many small branches growing chaotically. Julian had to use his beak and claws to snap and break them for a long time before he cleared out a space that satisfied him.

After that came the meticulous nest-building process. He went to find pliable dry branches to make the base, weaving them together and arranging them neatly into a firm circular frame.

A pure white snowy owl busily flew back and forth, gradually erecting the shape of a cozy bird's nest in the fork of the tree.

To prevent the dry branches from poking him while sleeping, he painstakingly flew down to the ground to find dry moss and soft grass to line the nest with a thick cushion.

Finally, only the most important thing was missing: feathers.
