"Eat up, or it will get cold and fishy," Rowan reminded Owen, who was still staring blankly at the half-eaten fish in the stone bowl with a look of worship, as Rowan placed a piece of soft, fragrant sawtooth fish into his mouth.
"Okay, you deboned it perfectly; just looking at it, I know it's delicious." Although he was incredibly reluctant to destroy Rowan's "masterpiece," Owen didn't want to disobey him, so he started eating, shoveling large spoonfuls into his mouth.
"Just eat your food, don't force the compliments. I didn't pick it as clean as you would." This was the first time Rowan had deboned fish for someone else. Seeing Owen eat with such gusto, he felt a sense of accomplishment, and the corners of his lips quirked up slightly.
"Mmm. Hmm? Hmph hmph... *gulp*." Suddenly, Owen's expression changed. He stopped chewing, and strange sounds came from his throat.
