Chapter 103 - Chapter 96 Daenerys

The atmosphere in the council chamber became heated by Robert's deafening roar.

Ned Stark felt a sudden dizzy spell.

He looked at Lynn in disbelief, then at Robert, whose face was flushed with excitement.

Mad.

All of them are mad!

A man of the Night's Watch who offers to assassinate Targaryen orphans in exchange for a jousting qualification.

A king who is ecstatic about this proposal and willing to bestow a lord's title.

This King's Landing is a hundred times more absurd than he imagined.

"Good! Good lad!"

Robert's large, fan-like hand clapped heavily on Lynn's shoulder, with enough force to almost make an ordinary person stumble.

But Lynn remained perfectly still, his body as steady as a rock.

"I like that spirit in you!"

Robert's eyes were full of admiration.

"Unlike these soft men who only know how to count their money!"

He glanced at Ned, whose face was pale, and waved his hand.

"From now on, you have free access to the Red Keep!"

"The best armor in the armory, the most magnificent warhorse in the stables—choose as you please!"

"I'm waiting to see how much trouble you, this wolf cub from the North, can stir up in the jousting arena!"

Robert's promise perfectly completed Lynn's plan.

His objective for this trip had been achieved... In the Hand's Tower study.

As soon as Ned closed the door, he could no longer suppress his inner torment.

He grabbed Lynn's arm, his honest gray eyes filled with pain and questioning.

"Lynn! How could you agree to him! How could you trade the lives of two children!"

"That's Viserys and Daenerys! They are just two children driven from their home!"

Ned's voice trembled with emotion.

The person he trusted would make such a cold-blooded deal.

Lynn looked at him calmly, letting him vent.

Only when Ned's voice gradually faded did he slowly speak.

"Lord Ned, do you think I care about a knight's title?"

Ned was startled.

"Those two children are pitiful, but the so-called 'Beggar King' Viserys is in Pentos, planning to sell his sister to a Dothraki Khal with forty thousand horsemen."

"Forty thousand Dothraki horsemen."

"You know better than I what kind of savages they are."

"Once they cross the Narrow Sea, what do you think Westeros will become?"

"The villages of the Riverlands, the towns of the Westerlands, and even the lands of the North, will all turn into a sea of fire."

"By then, it won't be two children who die, but tens of thousands of innocent common folk."

"Am I killing people, or saving people?"

Lynn looked directly into Ned's eyes.

"I am protecting you, protecting House Stark, protecting the North, and even more so, protecting all of Westeros!"

Ned seemed unable to believe it.

"But they won't have that many ships!"

"And even if they could cross, we are confident we could repel them!"

Lynn shook his head.

"My Lord, you seem to have forgotten."

"I have the ability to prophesy."

"I personally saw Targaryens riding dragons, turning all of King's Landing into a purgatory!"

Ned's expression was horrified.

"What, dragons?"

Lynn was pleased with Ned's reaction; he nodded.

"Yes, dragons."

"And not just one, but three!"

"They had no honor whatsoever, slaughtering all the soldiers and citizens of King's Landing."

"And, to prove that what I say is true."

"I will personally bring back these three dragon eggs."

"If I cannot bring them back, my head is here, My Lord can take it as he pleases."

"You should understand better than I what three dragons mean."

Seeing Lynn's confident assertions, Ned's face turned from red to white, and finally to a deathly gray.

He released his grip and retreated two steps, disheartened.

Yes.

He had only seen the two Targaryen orphans, but had forgotten the immense disaster they could bring.

It was no secret that Targaryens could control dragons.

As Warden of the North, as Hand of the King, his duty was to protect the entire kingdom.

For the sake of the kingdom, sacrificing two Targaryens was only right.

The moment this thought appeared, it filled him with self-loathing.

"But... there's only one true dragon, that Daenerys..." Ned was still making a final struggle.

"My target has always only been Viserys."

Lynn said calmly.

"That poor girl is just a commodity he uses for trade."

"I promise not to harm her."

"I only want Viserys's head!"

These words completely shattered the last line of defense in Ned's heart.

He was silent for a long time, finally letting out a long sigh, as if he had aged ten years in an instant.

"I understand."

"Whatever you need, I will fully support you."

He was no longer able to discern the right or wrong of Lynn's plan, and could only choose to believe.

Because in King's Landing at this moment, the only person he could trust was Lynn... That afternoon, Lynn was arranged to stay in an independent tower within the Red Keep.

The environment here was quiet and secluded, with strict guards, which suited him perfectly.

Arya pestered Lynn, but was soon taken back to the Hand's Tower by Ned to study sword fighting with Syrio Forel.

As the little girl left, she kept looking back, her face full of reluctance, finally making a face at Lynn before leaving contentedly.

Only Lynn remained in the room.

He sat by the window, his smile fading from his face.

Looking at the bustling King's Landing in the distance, his gaze pierced through the city, through the sea, and towards the distant East.

Daenerys.

He couldn't wait any longer.

Once she was sold to the Khal, everything would become irreversible!

He opened his attribute panel.

[Remaining Experience: 588]

"System, upgrade 'Warg' level."

[Do you want to consume 10 experience points to upgrade "Warg (Beginner)" to "Warg (Proficient)"?]

"Yes."

[Warg (Proficient) 1/10]

[Do you want to consume 100 experience points to upgrade "Warg (Mastery)"]

[Remaining Experience: 378]

A profound stream of information surged into his mind.

This gave Lynn a deeper understanding of the use of mental power and Warg abilities.

Lynn locked the room door, ensuring he wouldn't be in danger, then sat cross-legged on the bed.

He closed his eyes, condensing his terrifying 25 points of mental power to the extreme.

This time, Lynn's target was no longer any corner of the continent of Westeros.

But across the Narrow Sea, the Free City, Pentos.

A name, a vague image, surfaced in his mind.

Daenerys Targaryen.

He softly called out her name.

Buzz—

Lynn's consciousness suddenly shot out!

The entire world instantly shattered into billions of bizarre and colorful fragments!

It was a hundred times more difficult than the last invasion of Jaime's consciousness!

An endless ocean, roaring storms.

The grievances of countless shipwrecked dead over the years all transformed into the most violent turbulence in this mental ocean, attempting to tear his foreign consciousness into pieces!

Lynn held firm, his mental power transforming into a small boat, navigating with difficulty through this raging sea.

After an unknown amount of time.

The soul-tearing pain finally receded.

He suddenly opened his "eyes."

The first thing he felt was warmth.

Immersed in warm water, mixed with the scent of some exotic flowers.

He "saw" a pair of snow-white, slender arms gently moving on the water's surface, where petals floated.

His vision slightly lifted, revealing a luxuriously decorated bathroom, with walls made of pink marble, and the air filled with misty steam and the sweet scent of spices.

He had succeeded.

He had arrived in Pentos, entering Daenerys's body.

Just then, a soft female voice came from outside the door.

"Princess, it's time to prepare for the evening meeting."

The evening meeting?

Lynn's heart sank.

It was the meeting with Khal Drogo!

Damn it!

Lynn forced himself to calm down, controlling this delicate body to stand up from the bathtub.

Her beautiful, unblemished body, adorned with water droplets, was crystal clear in the sunlight.

The maidservants entered in a file, drying Lynn's body with soft silk and dressing her in a nearly transparent purple gown.

Lynn did not resist; he knew now was not the time.

He needed an opportunity, an opportunity to be alone with this body.
