The witch's words hammered against my skull as I stepped into the frigid night air. Her ultimatum burned through my thoughts like acid.

My hands curled into fists. What if Jasmine's children belonged to another man? What if this entire nightmare was an elaborate deception designed to destroy me from the inside out?
The gravel crunched under my boots as I stalked toward the waiting vehicle. Behind me, Palmer offered Harry a respectful nod from the balcony before murmuring his thanks and hurrying to catch up.
