"Stop!"
My voice cut through the chapel like a blade.
Stephen's hands trembled, and the crystal goblet tumbled to the marble floor. The sound of shattering glass echoed as red wine pooled at his feet.
Every face in the room turned toward me. Some showed shock, others barely concealed satisfaction. I could see the malice gleaming in their eyes now.
The chapel was packed with Isabel's followers, all disguised in soft wedding attire. They had been expecting me.
My pulse hammered as I searched the crowd. There, in the back corner, I found Jayden standing with Palmer and Ebony.
Our eyes met for one electric moment. Something raw passed between us. Anguish. Terror. A desperate kind of love.
But there was no time to process it.
I moved deeper into the chapel.
"Jasmine?" Lina's voice came from behind the altar where she stood as maid of honor beside Luis. "What are you doing here?"
I ignored her, keeping my focus locked on Harry.
