Jasmine's POV
The final exam arrived with an electric tension that made my skin prickle. Today marked the end of everything we had known for years.
Students filled the hallway outside our classroom, their voices creating a symphony of anxiety and excitement. Some clutched their notes desperately while others laughed too loudly, masking their nerves.
"I'm going to bomb this test," Lina muttered beside me, fidgeting with her pen.
Stephen shook his head. "You always say that."
"And somehow I keep surviving," she shot back with a grin that didn't quite reach her eyes.
The examination hall loomed larger than usual, packed with seniors who would scatter to different paths after today. I slipped into my assigned seat, my pulse quickening as the familiar pre-exam ritual began.
Then Principal Caesar entered.
The room transformed instantly. Conversations died mid-sentence. Papers stopped rustling. Even the air seemed to still as he surveyed us with those sharp eyes that missed nothing.
