"Elder Ziva." The words tore from my throat like a growl as I watched him scramble for his clothes, his fingers fumbling with his belt buckle in desperate haste.
This was the last thing I had expected to walk into today.
"I believe we need to have a conversation." Elder Ziva straightened his shoulders, attempting to project an air of composure that his disheveled appearance completely contradicted.
My eyebrow arched skeptically. "Do we really?" I shook my head in disgust. "I should have realized something was off when you kept working so hard to convince me of your unwavering loyalty. Turns out you're more deceitful than all the others combined."
The Elder cleared his throat uncomfortably.
