Chapter 23 - CHAP-21: ONE TIME AUDIENCE

Why kill Zombies? Zombies aren't a threat. Besides, having Zombies wandering around her territory isn't that like having natural guards! Let's see who dares to come near her!

Ashira thought of this and immediately stopped her intention to shoot and kill the Zombies. She looked out through the binoculars, and even felt very regretful that there were too few Zombies at the entrance of her Base! It would be great if there were more. Ideally, they would block this road completely. Thinking of this, Ashira immediately had an idea.

~

Half an hour later...

Ashira drove her armor to the outer perimeter of her territory. She parked the car in the woods, got out with Storm, and walked towards the road. The further out she walked, the stronger the smell of blood became.

She stood on a section of the embankment and looked down at the road below her. Seeing the scene up close now was much more exciting than through binoculars. Especially the section of road just outside the City.

Large numbers of vehicles fled from the City, and every car that rushed out was inevitably followed by a large swarm of densely packed Zombies.

These Zombies seemed to know nothing of fatigue, baring their fangs and claws as they sprinted and chased after the moving vehicles in front of them.

Some unlucky ones, who had a slight accident or whose vehicle speed slowed down even a little, would be instantly swallowed by the Zombie horde.

They crawled all over the vehicles like leeches, frantically hitting and banging on the car windows. The drivers' vision was completely blocked, and with a 'bang', they crashed into someone else's car.

Once a vehicle was overturned, the Zombies became even more excited and climbed on top, frantically gnawing.

Some vehicles with good luck and sturdy quality had to dodge and sprint their way through the road full of accidents, screaming as they fled the City.

The section of road under Ashira's feet had relatively few accidents and Zombies. Looking at it, there were only four accident spots.

About ten wandering Zombies. They roamed the sides of the road, and once a vehicle passed by, they would follow it.

Ashira watched as the road conditions calmed down relatively. After three vehicles sped by, attracting most of the Zombies away, she took her and climbed down from the hundred-meter-high embankment.

Storm walked much more steadily than she did. She landed at an accident spot.

"Roar!"

A middle-aged female Zombie was trapped inside the overturned car. Seeing Ash appear, she struggled violently to get out of the vehicle.

She looked very disheveled, her hair hadn't been washed in a long time, her face was shriveled without a trace of muscle, her face was relatively intact, her chest was ripped open, and a dry, withered claw wearing a diamond ring reached out from the car gap, trying to grab Ashira in front of her. But because her seatbelt wasn't even unbuckled, she couldn't do anything.

Ashira glanced inside the car and saw it was empty. It seemed that when the disaster struck, her Husband had abandoned her and fled. This unlucky fellow was bitten before she even unbuckled her seatbelt.

Ash went up with a shovel. "Go find your Husband in heaven."

After dealing with the hidden danger in the car, she walked to the rear of the car and grabbed the crossbar.

With a strong pull. "Crack-"

She dragged this abandoned car to the entrance of her own road. Along the way, a few Zombies rushed towards her in twos and threes.

Ash didn't even need to act. Storm let out a howl and pounced, biting the opponent to death.

One good thing about this Zombie crisis is. It doesn't infect animals, It only infects humans. This is a catastrophe for humanity.

As a German Shepherd with explosive combat power and system enhancement, these Zombies were a single paw swipe away from death in front of him! Killing them was incredibly easy.

"Don't bite them to death stormy, just cripple them."

Storm heard Ashira's command, barked, and showed mercy to a Zombie under his paw that was about to have its head crushed, only tearing off its upper body.

Ash looked at the Zombie that was left with only its upper body, crawling forward and howling

"..." Hmm, her baby stormy execution is superb!

She and Storm worked together. Storm was responsible for dealing with the Zombies, and she was responsible for towing the cars. They successively dragged the other four accident vehicles to the entrance of their small road, blocking the road completely.

Looking at this super large accident scene at the main intersection, anyone with eyes would not be able to get through.

In addition, she also had Storm drive the remaining Zombies towards this area. Ashira let them serve as her guards, protecting her place.

As Ash was doing this, she was also seen by a few passing cars. But not a single car stopped to ask.

Because this is the apocalypse escape! Everyone is escaping as fast as possible. Who the hell has the energy to care about others!?.

Ashira didn't care about the vehicles that brushed past her either. These were just one-time spectators. For 99.99% of the cars driving on this road, it was an eternal one-way street; it was absolutely impossible to turn back.

Ashira displayed her immense strength in front of them, and they just watched and moved on. There was no time for curiosity, no time to ask; their own lives were facing their own crisis.

After securing her small road and assigning the Zombies that were left with only their upper bodies, Ash left here.

After she returned to the Base with Storm and took a bath with her, she heard the alarm from her Base's surveillance system. She immediately went up to the tower.

Her surveillance computers had all been moved to the tower, making it convenient for observation and defense at any time in the future.

At this moment, among the dozens of small surveillance squares, the one monitoring the road as far as it could see was sounding.

Ashira zoomed in on the surveillance footage. She saw a pickup truck loaded with goods rushing over from the direction of the City, braking sharply in front of the small road she had just blocked.

Seeing this small road completely blocked by a group of cars, the other party was obviously a bit at a loss.

They stayed in place for about 10 seconds, attracting all the half-body Zombies, then the people inside reversed the car a little to avoid the surrounding half-body Zombies, and then stepped on the accelerator again, preparing to forcefully break through.

Seeing this, Ashira's eyes instantly turned cold. Good heavens, they were clearly coming for her. She grabbed the crossbow by her hand and locked the crosshairs onto the car tire entering her attack range.

"Whoosh!"

A sound of something cutting through the air. In Ashira's field of vision, the tire of the moving car exploded with a bang.

After the people inside the car discovered the tire had burst, they lurched forward due to inertia and then immediately stopped.

Soon, four or five burly men got out of the car. Among them, Ashira saw a familiar figure. Wasn't that the agent who had rented her the air-raid shelter at the time?

"Are you sure it's safe in there?"

"Of course! It's an air-raid shelter, and there's no one for dozens of miles around! Almost no one knows about this place! I rented it to a girl to grow mushrooms a month ago, maybe we can even eat mushrooms when we get in!"

"Brothers, let's get to work! Clear out the Zombies, change the tire, and we'll rush in!"

"Looks like someone wanted to die." Ashira whispered.
