Chapter 3 - Chapter 3:.....so now what?

(Location: Hosu District, Tokyo)

____One week later____

"...so...now what?" I said to myself as i laid in my beanbag.

It had been about a week since I got here. In that time i had made myself quite comfortable if I do say so myself.

And using the memories and knowledge of the two idiots I had eaten I had a general idea of where I was and what was happening. But it was just general stuff.

Right now I was in Hosu, specifically the outer edges of the Hosu District. Which was perfect due to it's large number of abandoned and destroyed buildings.

I was currently in one of these buildings. Well technically it wasn't abandoned anymore, since I had acquired the rights to it.

A quick vist to a local internet café and a sneaky use of Scorn and Carnage's ability made sure that i had property and wealth under a fake name.

So in simple terms, i was rich now!

And while I was acquiring wealth through 'honest' means, I also looked into the Hero Association and came across some 'classified' information.

Why they hadn't stored these information in offline databases? I don't know! They must've been confident in their cyber security.

But due to their over confidence in their honestly sub-par security. I was able to figure out exactly where in the timeline I was.

According to the information, All Might fought All for One five years ago which left him severely injured. Even the medical documents from Recovery Girl's (more like grandma) personal server proved it.

And given the fact that the UA entrance exam are scheduled to take place 9 months from now. I can estimate that I have at least 8 months-ish? before the official start to the story.

"....not that I have an interest in the story anyway" i mumbled as i continued staring blankly at the faded paint on the ceiling.

I was bored out of my mind. Sure i could just rampage across the city and grow stronger but that was just dumb. Besides random civilians who did nothing wrong would be caught up in the violence and i didn't want that.

I may be a monster now but I still had some heart. Besides, the property damages. What if someone didn't have insurance or worse... insurance fraud...i would hate to be that someone.

So that was out of the question. For now anyways.

What I could do however, was grow big in the underworld and spread my influence while growing stronger in the process. Even bigger than All for One.

"...yeah that sounds nice, i always wanted to slap that wannabe demon lord in his potato head anyway." I said absent mindedly.

I'm pretty sure if I went all out i could defeat him even as I am now. My quirk literally makes me ignore every single quirk that he could throw at me and i can just leave parts of myself all over the land to regenerate from in case he hurls a nuke at me.

Always hated that guy, he seemed like a badass villain when he was introduced but when the time for his death came, utterly pathetic. Just a selfish lonely man who fooled himself into believing that he was a demon lord.

Why couldn't villains just be villains, evil for the sake of evil. No need for tragic backstories that make you feel bad for them. Just an evil guy who does evil because he can and wants to, who makes you respect him even if he is evil to the core.

And when they go out, they do so in a blaze of glory and malice. Laughing at their demise like a real fucking villain.

But that's just my opinion.

"I'm feeling annoyed just thinking about that guy, fuck him." I spat as i finally found enough motivation to get up. "If I am to take over the underworld, I need to have eyes everywhere."

And for that i had the perfect ability.

Morhphing my form as i got up like a character from a horror movie, i looked at my current base of operations.

I had renovated this entire building using my abilities and bought everything I would need for my stay here. These included a phone, a computer, transportation, a lab and an armory- which was currently very empty.

"God I wish I was in America"

I didn't need sleep,rest or food so I just bought a beanbag....yeah.

I also got some fake passports- plural, cash and a driver's licence.

"*sigh*" after a final sigh, i hyped myself up before going to my computer and booting it up. I didn't need a very powerful computer since my abilities do the majority of the work so I just bought the first thing I came across.

After the computer finally booted up, i extended tendrils from my hands which connected to the cpu before using Scorn's ability to upgrade the tech and making it a hundred times more powerful.

I then used the combination of Scorn and Carnage's abilities again to scour the internet and enter the city network.

My first aim was to infect every CCTV camera in Tokyo, this would help me have eyes on the entire city, at least on the surface level.

And due to the fact that I now had the ability to form and control an entire hive mind, I did not need to worry about the problems of processing all that data as they poured directly into my brain.

I 'could' also infect a satellite but....maybe later.

Seriously, Scorn's abilities are broken!

But the thing with the CCTVs was just a minor thing, i didn't even know if they would be useful very much.

My second and main objective was unrestricted access to the city network as a whole. This would allow me to infect every single phone, computer, fucking smart fridges.

Basically, it was a lesser form of God's Eye from the Fast and Furious franchise.

And a few minutes later I was done. I now had eyes almost everywhere technology was.

In Tokyo at least, for now.

After that was done, a small disc was produced from the computer. This would transmit everything directly to me.

Reverting the upgrades to the computer because i didn't want to have a ridiculously advanced computer in this shit hole, i retracted my tendrils.

"Now that that's done, let's put it to the test shall we?!"

I absorbed the disc and a few seconds later, i could see everywhere I wanted to inside Tokyo.

From a smart vending machine to a smart phone a student sneaked into a classroom.

"I don't even wanna know how many privacy laws this violates.."i said as i switched from one point of view to another. This was going to be a massive help in the future when i expanded it worldwide.

"....let's see.....w-what?....why....why would you carry your phone with you when you're in a....*sigh*... nevermind.." I wondered aloud, some people are genuinely dumb.

But now was not the time to be worrying about other's stupidity. I had other plans to further my information network.

Pulling up my phone, which was permanently upgraded i dialled a number.

A few seconds of awkwardly listening and standing later a voice answered.

"....yes? how many I help you?.." the voice sounded tired on the surface but there was a tinge of suspicion underneath it.

I couldn't help but grin like an idiot because he really answered.

"Kagero Okuta, it is a pleasure to meet you..." I replied, using my now natural Carnage voice.

"Who are you?" by the tone of his voice you could clearly tell that he was a bit surprised.

I continued as i if nothing had happened, "Why don't you take a seat Mr.Okuta, your coffee will spill all over that white shirt if you continue like that..." you could hear him growing increasingly concerned as I said that.

"Or do you prefer being referred to as Giran, that is the name you are going by is it not. Or should I call you Outa-san like your darling niece did... my condolences by the way.." by now he was deeply disturbed, the look on his face was priceless.

Lesser God's Eye was being useful already.

"....what do you want?" He finally managed to get out.

"Nothing much really, just a meeting with the best and most morally questionable broker in this side of the nation...what do you say?.." I replied in a sweet voice, which must sound horrifying to others, "I have the necessary payment if you hear me out in person and accept my request"

"…....I choose the place." huh, he's pretty good. Solid backbone.

"Sure~~you're the professional." I answered.

"Good. Here's the place....."

(Unknown location) (One day later)

*Exhale*

The smoke from a cigarette filled the dingy room, before slowly floating towards the broken ventilator.

A person sat behind the counter of this once popular bar that had been neglected for a few years.

This person was Giran, an information broker who dealt with all kinds of people, even villains.

Dressed in a purple suit with a white undershirt and a scarf around his neck, he looked out of place in this dreary place.

Giran had been greatly disturbed when the unknown number had called. The things he knew were not something that the majority of people were supposed to know.

And the thing about his niece...that information was severely restricted due to the circumstances involved. To know about her and what had happened, he could be dealing with a trap for all he knew.

That is why he picked this location, but the ease and speed at which the person had agreed led him to question if it was a truly a trap.

But that was not the problem here, not right now anyways.

"*inhale*.....*exhale*....I have been waiting here, for 30 minutes!" he suddenly exclaimed as he slammed the counter.

He had been waiting for the person for over forty minutes now. He recalled specifying the time and mentioning being ten minutes early to the person.

But here he was, waiting for someone who he didn't even think was showing up anymore like a highschooler who got stood up.

"Five more minutes....I'll wait for five more minutes before leaving and changing my entire base of operations" he said as he took a puff of his cigarette again.

He had some questions he wanted answers to buy that didn't seem like it was happening today.

Not even bothering to finish the five minutes anymore, he tried to stand up from the chair he was sitting in. But just before he could do that the air in a corner of the ceiling shifted.

He was startled for a second before the shifting stopped, like camouflage being undone and that mild shock was replaced by pure terror.

Maybe it 'was' camouflage but instead of something blending in with the surrounding to hide itself, this looked like the surroundings were hiding something from the world, in fear of what it was.

A creature, it could only be described as such was crawling on the ceiling.

It looked vaguely human like but made of gooey blood with black accents. It looked like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.

It had sharp claws that looked like they could shred a man in two easily, they probably could.

Its eyes were giant white voids, gleaming with malice and it's mouth, oh it's mouth...it was made up of sharp shark like teeth that seemed too big yet seemed to fit perfectly in its jaw.

The creepiest thing about it was the fact that while the body seemed to stick to the ceiling like a lizard, the head was upside down.

It stared directly into his eyes before opening it's mouth, and from it emerged a tongue that looked like it had a will of its own.

Giran was now completely terrified of this creature, unaware of the fact that said creature had released a clear odour less gas that amplified the fear of those who inhaled it.

The ragged breaths of Giran were all that could be heard for a few hauntingly long seconds before the creature spoke, it was the same voice he had heard from the phone.

"Greetings~ Giran, do you mind sticking around a bit longer.....hehehehahaha.."
