Start of Day 15

—————————————————————

It's been a two weeks now. And Jake did as he planned… He summoned Five copies of Twilight's Friends into Civilian Nikkes, Jake believed that, after all they have done for their world they should have a break for saving their world… Right?

And it worked! Like "100%!" Jake looked at Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, And Rarity with Twilight making her smile Soo… Warmly like the real Twi.

"It's enough to make an grown man cry, Go ahead cry…" Jake said to himself at the time, Extremely happy for Twilight. From there on Jake decided to adopt them (Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, And Rarity) as his sisters even though Jake's sure they're most likely older than him.

Jake gave Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, And Rarity Civilian jobs like: Farming for Applejack & Fluttershy though Fluttershy was more of the Animal Doctor, Rainbow Dash as a Civilian Chopper Pilot Jake refused Rainbow to have Rainbow as a Military Chopper Pilot as he was scared for his new sister's safety, Pinkie Pie as a Food Making, And Rarity as the Clothes Maker. Jake even gave Twilight a safer Military Job so she'd be safe.

And Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, And Rarity? They had real autonomy with no strings attached to them, Jake thought if it was going to have like the real "Mane 6" they'd be able to do anything they want even if Jake may not like it.

Jake didn't care for controlling them his new sisters. Jake thought as long as his sisters were happy, He'd be happy too! Has for Rainbow wanting to join the Military's Air Corps, He allowed it… Even though he only wanted Rainbow Dash safe, Jake gave Rainbow Dash knowledge on how to Fly All Helicopters & Rainbow Dash became a Pilot for the HH-60S STEALTH Hawk the best Stealth Helicopter & best of the Hawk Helicopters too!

Jake was happy for Rainbow & so were Rainbow Dash's new sisters too, Them being Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, And Rarity.

Rainbow's Co-Pilot was female too and they even became best friends, The female Co-Pilot's name was Sol Davis Rainbow Dash nicknamed Sol as Sunny Sol making Sol laugh & accept the nickname.

As for AJ? She gently punched Jake's arm for telling her, Her job was farming for "Bossing her around" even though she still accepted the Farming Job. Jake laughed off the punch even if the punch hurt a bit, Yea Applejack was still strong as an Ox.

As for the other Mane 6 Members, They accepted their jobs & were happy with them. Pinkie Pie loved her job bouncing around the new Bakery & making wonderful food for the soldiers keeping the soldiers' morale & spirits up.

The soldiers named her "The Laughing Baker" Jake kindly laughed at the nickname, When Pinkie told him. But Jake loved the nickname & as Pinkie loved the nickname Jake was happy with it.

With Rarity, Jake had to calm her down with the stylish clothes. Why? The clothes need to be durable for the wasteland, But soon enough Rarity started making reinforced modest designer clothes for future settlers & civilians.

Fluttershy had found Two more normal-looking Cows & Two Brahmins, Jake helped Fluttershy with the new farm animals. Jake made a large pen for the Two Cows and Two Brahmins with food and clean purified water.

With Applejack, Although AJ was upset with her new brother of Jake. But still accepted Jake's help with planting a pure & new Apple Tree, Potatoes, Carrots, and Corn.

Then there was Twilight Sparkle, Twilight regained her memory of her friends. Having more emotions then before.

As for everything else… All Heli Pads were completed, The FOB Headquarters completed & reinforced, Adding Hesco bastions around Sanctuary Hills made of a collapsible wire mesh container & heavy-duty geotextile fabric liner, and is used as a temporary to semi-permanent levee or blast wall against small-arms fire and/or explosives.

Then adding Six Indirect Fire-Shelters, Four Above-Ground Bunkers, Four Observation Towers, And Ammo Crates in Strategic Defense Zones.

Now!

—————————————————————

The morning sun filtered through the reinforced glass of Jake's new office window, Casting long shadows across the tactical map spread on his desk. The room smelled of fresh coffee courtesy of Pinkie Pie, Who had somehow managed to source Pre-War beans & a functioning grinder within three days of being summoned, and the faint, metallic scent of new construction.

Twilight Sparkle stood before him, Her posture a perfect blend of military discipline and the genuine warmth of a sister. Her Nikke chassis, Clad in the newly standard-issue Minutemen fatigue, looked less like a war machine & more like a capable, trusted officer. The violet light in her eyes was vibrant, Alive with the restored connection to her friends.

"They are... surprisingly adaptable, Commander Jake." Twilight replied, Her smile widening slightly. "Rainbow Dash or rather, Pilot Officer Dash logged her fiftieth flight hour on the Stealth Hawk this morning. Her flight patterns are unorthodox, to say the least, but Sol seems to find them exhilarating. They've been running low-level supply drops to the Red Rocket outpost without being detected once."

She tapped the tablet in her hand, Bringing up a logistical report.

"Applejack has already argued with the Combat Engineers about the irrigation lines for the new orchard. She insists on a specific gradient to maximize runoff without eroding the soil. The Engineers were skeptical until she physically moved a concrete culvert by herself to demonstrate the angle. They are now following her instructions implicitly."

Twilight's expression softened further. "Fluttershy has named the two-headed cows 'Bessie-One' & 'Bessie-Two.' She's currently monitoring them for radiation sickness, But she reports they seem content. And Rarity... Well, She has somehow convinced a squad of Line Infantry that their uniforms require 'Tailoring for optimal silhouette.' though she admits the ballistic weave is 'Dreadfully stiff to work with.'"

Jake chuckled, Leaning back in his chair. It was exactly what he had hoped for. The Sanctuary Hills FOB wasn't just a military base anymore; It was becoming a community. The addition of the "Mane 6" had injected a soul into the sterile efficiency of his summoned army.

"That's good to hear, Twi. Really good!" Jake said, Hud voice warm. "And Pinkie?"

"Pinkie Pie has organized a 'Welcome to the Apocalypse' party for the off-duty rotation tonight." Twilight said with a fond shake of her head. "She has requisitioned three crates of flour & an alarming amount of sugar. I have authorized it on the grounds of morale improvement."

"Approved!" Jake laughed. "We need all the morale we can get."

He stood up & walked over to the large wall map, Where the New Hope Bridge was marked in green, signifying its completion. The concrete span connected their island fortress to the wider, Dangerous World of the Commonwealth.

"Alright, Twi. The bridge is open. That means our operational range just expanded significantly. We have the Red Rocket secured as a forward post, But we need to push further if we're going to find more resources & actual people."

"But, As of now I'll be going up the hill there." Jake says as he points in the direction of the Vault 111. "I have an feeling someone will be coming & if my feeling is right… Maybe someone that is kind." Jake said with a smile, As Twi smiles hopefully.

Jake looks to the construction of an Three-Story Apartment Building, Though his window. "So are the two new Apartment Buildings going?" Jake asks hopeful with a positive impact.

"Yea, One is done as of now! It's one close to the 'New Hope Bridge' this one here, On the other hand… It's taking longer due to the Combat Engineers finding human remains…" Twilight says sadly… "I see… Twi… Make sure they get a proper burial with their names if you can find the information…" Jake said in a sad, But serious tone.

"Of course, Jake! We already found the female's name… It was Emily Waters, If we can't find the Male's name we'll be forced to put Mr. Waters on the male's tombstone." Jake nods in understanding.

history buried beneath their new foundations settling in the room. It was a reminder that before this was a Forward Operating Base, It was a neighborhood full of families.

"Do it…" Jake confirmed softly. "Mr. Waters will have to do for now. We honor the dead by building something better for the living." Jake shook off the melancholy, His unbreakable will reasserting itself. "Alright, Twi. You handle the construction and the burial details. I'm heading up to Vault 111. My gut feeling is rarely wrong."

"Understood, Commander. I will maintain command of the FOB. Should I dispatch a Line Infantry escort with you?" Twilight asked, Her protective programming flickering.

"Nah." Jake replied, Grabbing his CQC M4A3 from the rack. "I need to go alone. If it's who I think it is, A squad of soldiers might spook them. Just keep the comms open." He said.

Jake walked into an makeshift changing room & to tease Twilight, Jake says. "No peeking, Twi~" Jake said with a jackass smile, Before going back inside the changing room.

After Five Minutes, Jake came back out wearing: A combat helmet, Fitted with prominent binocular night-vision goggles (NVGs) attached to the front mount. The face is protected by a light tan or coyote-colored ballistic face shield or mask that covers the nose, mouth, and cheeks (But lowered to show Jake's Mouth), with eye protection integrated or worn underneath.

A modular plate carrier/tactical vest in a light tan or coyote brown is worn over the uniform. It is heavily equipped with multiple pale magazine pouches on the chest.

The base uniform is a detailed green, brown, and black disruptive pattern camouflage (A Variant of the MultiCam Pattern). The fabric on the sleeves appears textured, Possibly with a slightly shredded or "ghillie-like" finish for better breakup of the silhouette.

The trousers match the camouflage pattern, Providing continuity of concealment. They are fitted with black hard-shell knee pads. A tactical belt secures various utility pouches, And a tactical knife or similar tool is strapped to the thigh.

And wearing coyote tactical gloves & heavy-duty, earth-toned combat boots.

"How do I look? More professional? Maybe?" Jake asks Twilight, And Twi playfully rolls her eyes. "You look fine, Jake. Better then before at least." Two tease Jake back.

Five Minutes later… Jake walked up the hill to Vault 111 was eerily quiet, Save for the wind rustling through the dead trees. The massive, Gear-Shaped door of the Vault stood stark against the blueish-gray sky. Jake didn't have to wait long. The heavy, Grinding sound of the Vault door mechanism engaging echoed through the valley. Steam hissed, And the massive metal slab began to roll aside.

A figure emerged, Blinking in the harsh sunlight. It was a woman, Clad in a Blue, Black, And Yellow Vault Suit with the number 111 emblazoned on the back. The suit was zipped down just enough to be breathable, Revealing a black undershirt beneath. The distinctive gold piping of the zipper ran down the center, A flash of metallic color catching the sunlight.

She had modified the standard issue suit for the harsh reality of the surface. Her arms were covered in durable black mesh sleeves, offering protection without sacrificing mobility. Around her waist sat a heavy-duty, dark leather utility belt, its pouches stuffed with ammunition, stimpaks, and scavenged necessities. "Mmm… She's more prepared… Better then I played Fallout 4 Remastered." Jake thought to himself.

Strapped to her right thigh was a leather holster rig, Empty but ready. Her knees were protected by hard-shell tactical pads—evidence that she spent plenty of time crouching behind cover or kneeling to take a steady shot.

On her feet were tall, Lace-Up combat boots. They were worn & dusty, Grounded firmly on the broken asphalt, contrasting with the sleekness of the blue suit above.

On her left wrist sat the bulky, The Pip-Boy. It was her map, Her Geiger counter, and her lifeline, glowing faintly even in the daylight.

She looked disoriented, Shielding her eyes, her hand instinctively going to the 10mm pistol at her hip.

It was Nora, The Sole Survivor.

Jake stepped forward slowly, Hands raised to show he wasn't a threat, but his rifle slung ready. "Easy there…" He called out, His voice calm & steady. "You've been asleep a long time. The world's... changed."

Nora's eyes snapped to him, Aide with a mix of fear & confusion. "Who... who are you? Where is everyone?"

"Name's Jake. Jake Maxis…" Jake introduced himself, lowering his hands but keeping a respectful distance. "As for everyone else down the hill... That's a long story. But you're safe for now. Sanctuary Hills, Your old neighborhood it's under new management. We're rebuilding."

Nora looked past him, down the hill toward the bustling activity of the FOB. The armored vehicles, the reinforced walls, the soldiers in uniform. Her confusion deepened, but the panic receded slightly. "Rebuilding? Who is 'we'?"

"She'll never believe, I'm from another version of the USA. I doubt we'll have similar military vehicles past the 1950s or so…" Jake thought to himself.

"The Minutemen Commonwealth Defense Force, Ma'am." Jake said, gesturing toward the settlement. "Come on down. We have food, water, and answers. And maybe... a place for you." Jake asks Nora hoping to help her, In this new world.

Nora looked at the man standing before her, Clad in a uniform that screamed "Pre-War Military" But felt distinctly... Different. She glanced down at the bustling settlement of Sanctuary Hills, Her old neighborhood now transformed into a fortress. The sight of soldiers, actual, disciplined soldiers, and heavy armored vehicles moving with purpose was both jarring & comforting.

Her hand hovered near her 10mm pistol for another second, Her lawyer's instincts warring with her desperate need for stability. Finally, She let her hand drop.

"Food & Answers…" Nora repeated, Her voice raspy from disuse & emotion. "That's a start. I'm Nora. And... If you're rebuilding Sanctuary Hills, I guess I don't have much of a choice..."

She took a step forward, Her boots crunching on the loose gravel. "But if this is some kind of Raider trap, I'm taking as many of you with me as I can."

Jake smiled, a genuine, disarming expression beneath his ballistic mask. "Fair enough, Nora. Welcome to the Minutemen Commonwealth Defense Force. Let's get you some coffee."

Two hours later… Nora sat in Jake's office, A mug of Pinkie Pie's fresh coffee in her hands. The warmth of the ceramic was grounding, A stark contrast to the cold cryosleep she had just emerged from. She had listened to Jake's explanation—or at least, The sanitized version of it. He told her about the New Minutemen, the need to restore order, and the fight against the evils of the wasteland.

"So… You're building an army." Nora said, Her lawyer's mind cutting through the shock, her eyes narrowing slightly as she scrutinized Jake. "To do what? Conquer the Commonwealth?" Questioning Jake.

"To save it, The best I physically can." Jake corrected gently, Leaning against his desk. "To give people a chance to live, Not just survive. And I could use someone with your skills. You were a lawyer, Right? We're going to need laws, structure, diplomacy. We're not just soldiers; We're building a society."

Nora looked out the window. Below, In the courtyard, a squad of Line Infantry was drilling, their movements crisp. Near the mess hall, A woman with bright pink hair a Civilian Nikke, Jake had called them was laughing as she handed out trays of food to tired engineers. It was surreal, But it was civilization.

"It's better than the alternative." Nora admitted, Taking a sip of the surprisingly good coffee. "Alright, Jake... I'm in. But I have my own mission. I need to find my son, Shaun. He was... taken. From the Vault."

Jake's tone was serious & unwavering. "And we'll help you. The Minutemen protect their own. Welcome to the team, Nora."

Just then, The office door opened with a soft pneumatic hiss. Twilight Sparkle stepped in, Holding a data pad. She paused when she saw Nora, Her violet eyes widening slightly in recognition of the Vault Suit's significance.

"Commander Maxis, The resource allocation for the new hydroponics bay is complete." Twilight reported, Her voice professional.

She then turned to Nora & offering a polite, Perfectly executed nod. "And you must be the survivor from Vault 111. I am Twilight Sparkle, Chief Tactical Advisor. Welcome to Forward Operating Base Alpha, Or as the soldiers call it 'Fort Hope'."

Nora stared at Twilight. The woman was undeniably beautiful, elegant, and possessed a strange, almost artificial grace that hinted at something beyond human. And her hair... a flowing cascade of navy blue with striking streaks of magenta and amethyst. It was vibrant, alive, and utterly out of place in the wasteland.

"Thanks." Nora managed, Blinking as she tried to reconcile the visual information. "Twilight Sparkle? That's a... unique name... Sounds like something out of a fairy tale."

"Well… The Year is 2287? One sec…" Jake grabs & looks at his "Pid" Pad and sees the date as [Month - 10/ Day - 23/ Year - 2287]. "Yea, 2287… So naming may be different due to the time." Jake explained to Nora.

"Two centuries," Nora whispered, The confirmation hitting her harder than the sight of the armored vehicles outside. "I missed... Everything."

"Not everything, Nora…" Jake said softly, Leaning forward. "You missed the fall, Nora. But you're here for the rise. And so is Twilight."

Twilight, Sensing the emotional gravity, stepped forward, her posture shifting from military rigidness to something gentler, a flicker of her original self shining through.

"Names carry history, Nora." Twilight said, Her voice calm & resonant. "In my... culture, Names often reflect a specific talent or destiny. Perhaps 'Twilight Sparkle' sounds like a fairy tale, But in a world that has seen so much darkness, maybe a little 'sparkle' is exactly what is required." She offered a small, Tentative smile, one that didn't quite reach her violet eyes in the way it used to, but the effort was sincere.

Nora looked at the woman, Really looked at her, and saw the intelligence & the strange, underlying kindness. She let out a breath she felt like she'd been holding for two hundred years.

"Maybe you're right…" Nora conceded, Placing her empty coffee mug on Jake's desk. "A little sparkle couldn't hurt. So, Commander Maxis, Chief Advisor Sparkle... what's the play? You mentioned resources, expansion. Where do we start?"

Jake stood up, Moving to the large tactical map on the wall. He picked up a marker & circled the town directly south of the Red Rocket outpost.

"We start here." Jake announced, His voice firm. "Concord… From the reports there are Raiders in Concord, It's a mess of raiders & chaos, But it sits right on our primary supply route. And according to my intel, There's a group of survivors pinned down in the Museum of Freedom. Real Minutemen. We secure the town, We rescue them, and we open up the road to the south."

He turned to face them both.

"Operation: Liberty Spike commences at 0600 tomorrow. Twilight, I want you to finalize the strike package. We're going in heavy. Nora, Get some rest, get some gear from the quartermaster. You're with me in the command vehicle. We're going to see just how much fight this new world has left in it."
