Ling Hao was the original owner of this body. At just thirteen years old, he had already reached the Ninth Stage of the Qi Gathering Realm, a level far above others his age. Hoping to breakthrough to the next realm, he went into a forest in search of an opportunity or enlightenment. After fighting a beast, he headed to a nearby lake to wash up.
However, while exploring the area, he accidentally triggered a hidden mechanism, revealing a secret cave. Curious, he stepped inside, but the moment he entered, the cave's entrance closed behind him. No matter how hard he tried, the door wouldn't open again. With no other choice, Ling Hao walked deeper into the cave.
Inside, the cave was completely sealed off there were no treasures, no passages, nothing except for a single teleportation formation carved into the ground. The formation was damaged, with many of its runes partially erased or broken.
Fortunately, Ling Hao had some basic knowledge about runes and formations. Realizing he was trapped, he decided to repair the formation in hopes of escaping the cave. It was a risky choice, but it was the only path available.
Although Ling Hao had some knowledge about runes from reading books in his clan's library, many of the runes in the formation were completely damaged. Because of this, repairing the formation became extremely difficult. Still, Ling Hao didn't give up. He kept studying the fragments, comparing them with the runes he remembered from his books.
Time continued to pass slowly inside the sealed cave. Days turned into months, and months turned into years. Without realizing it, Ling Hao spent two years and eight months working on the formation.
Luckily, he had a storage ring filled with food, so he never went hungry and was able to keep working on the formations without stopping.
After so many days, Ling Hao finally managed to repair the formation. Once it was stable, he stepped into it, hoping to escape the cave. However, the moment he activated it, the formation transported him into a mysterious hall the lair of the Three-Eyed serpent. As soon as he appeared, the beast sensed his presence and launched a fierce attack. This Three-Eyed serpent was a powerful tier-4 beast, equal to a major stage above Ling Hao's strength. Escaping from it was nearly impossible.
Fortunately, Ling Hao possessed a killing-type treasure obtained through his clan. With this treasure, he barely managed to injure and eventually kill the serpent after a desperate and intense fight. But even though he succeeded, the victory came with a heavy price.
During the first strike, the serpent had released a deadly poison that seeped into Ling Hao's body. Because he had no antidote, he died. After that, Meng's soul merges with the body, and his consciousness returns just as he awakens before the serpent.
"Haah, so I really have transmigrated and this body owner name is Ling Hao then from now on, my name will also be Ling Hao. The name Meng carries no good memories, and it is like my second chance to live life fully." Ling Hao said with a heavy breath then stand up.
Ling Hao walked to the table and lifted the black sword with a crimson hilt.
"This sword is amazing! Its grade must be quite high," he said after examining it. He swung the black blade, surprised by its light weight and the sharp whistling sound it produced through the air.
As he gazed into the blade's reflection, he noticed his golden pupils streaked with black lines extending outward across his gleaming golden irises.
"Wow, these eyes look even more beautiful," he exclaimed, gazing at his reflection in awe, mesmerized by the golden glow and black streaks within his irises.
"So, this is the Forbidden Eternal Eye, a peak-level Legendary-grade eye technique. Whoever created this must have been incredibly powerful and knowledgeable," he muttered while looking at his reflection. When the technique merged with him, fragments of its mysterious information surfaced in his mind.
The cultivator who created this technique wanted to make it even stronger than the Legendary grade, but despite dedicating his entire life, he could only reach that level. His final wish was that whoever obtained it would push the technique beyond the limits of the Legendary grade.
This technique begins at the low-level Black grade, unlocking a new skill at each major grade. The minor stages can improve through cultivation progress or frequent use, but advancing to a major stage is extremely difficult almost impossible to achieve.
Its first skill is Domain View, which allows the user to see in a full 360-degree range with perfect clarity. It also grants enhanced vision in complete darkness, making it nearly impossible for enemies to hide or ambush the user, no matter the surroundings.
However, this skill consumes a large amount of energy, making it difficult to maintain for a long period.
After using the technique and feeling satisfied, Ling Hao walks toward the last item the box containing the ring. As he approaches, a sudden voice echoes in his mind
[DING! SYSTEM AWAKENED]
