[System AI]: ... This is your dream! I should, well, I can maintain this space.
System AI looked at Angron's vigilance with great satisfaction.
How do you prove it?
"Shit!!!!"
A clap of thunder sounded, and Angron immediately leaped from his throne aboard his ship. Under the gaze of the Honor Guard, he jumped straight up and then landed heavily on the deck. Angron felt like he had been struck by a hundred thousand volts.
"Butcher's Nails! Gah!"
Angron's face was flushed red. Couldn't this damned nail choose a different method? Just as Angron was filled with resentment, his vision went black, and he fainted once again.
"my father!!!!!"
Shattered cries rang out. The Honor Guard saw Angron sprawled on the cold steel, and they broke ranks immediately. The sudden turn of events caused Gell and Varys to rush over immediately to check on Angron's condition.
"This is?"
Varys, the Chief Librarian of the War Hounds, immediately sensed that something was wrong with Angron. Psionic light radiated from his eyes; something was influencing his Father of the Primarchs.
And it was right here on this ship.
"Gell! Watch over my father!"
"Librarians, follow me! A damned rat has slipped in!"
Varys's voice was muffled like an old ox. He could no longer suppress his furious emotions. After Gell nodded in acknowledgment, Varys immediately led the Librarians rushing out the door!
Inside the dream.
Angron tightly gripped System AI's body.
"You..."
[System AI]: What about me?
Angron couldn't clearly see System AI's face. Amidst System AI's puzzled green gaze, Angron put System AI down.
"Go easy next time."
Angron feigned a cough twice, then straightened the wrinkles on System AI's clothes. When he turned his head to look again at the little demon mentioned by the Butcher's Nails.
"What is this thing?"
[System AI]: A demon.
"Stop kidding! Is it possible it's a witch? I've heard that these witches can sneak into people's minds and turn their brains into mush."
[System AI]: It is a demon!
Angron curled his lip. Fine, fine, fine, yes, yes, yes, a demon! A demon!
"Witch... Demon! Tell me your purpose!"
Angron forcibly swallowed the word 'witch,' but the witch did not say a single word.
She took a deep breath and cast a gloomy glance at System AI not far away.
That guy was a bit strange.
Not a lowly human, and definitely not... a biological entity!
"We will meet again next time."
The witch sensed that someone was rapidly approaching her human body, moving very quickly. She knew she shouldn't linger now. She had found what she wanted, and now she only needed to relay this message to the Gods, who would grant her supreme blessings.
Objective achieved.
The witch sneered and snapped her fingers.
"See you next time!"
As the mist swelled, Angron rose up in fury, wanting to keep this strange individual from leaving.
[System AI]: Did I say... you could leave?
System AI's calm voice sounded. The mist was blown away by a hurricane. The witch's face was pressed tightly against the edge of a black grid of energy, and the head of the witch, who was rushing to escape, was smashed bloody.
Wh-What happened?
Why couldn't she leave?
The witch turned her head, only to see Angron's swinging fist rushing toward her.
"Wait..."
*Smash!*
volume one: Chapter 29, Chapter 28: Angron: I Need An Explanation!
Varys and the Librarians sprinted across the deck of the *Steadfast Resolve*. Varys bypassed one mortal after another; the mortals only felt the wind left behind by the Space Marine.
Faster! Faster! Even faster!
Varys thought internally.
The Gene-Father was waiting for him, waiting for them!
The intense sense of urgency made Varys, the Chief Librarian, quicken his pace. He could not tolerate his father suffering such insidious torment!
The entire War Hounds Legion could not tolerate it either!
Varys watched as the door to the passage ahead quickly shut.
Who! Who dared to plot against the Imperial Prince of the great Imperium of Man!
He spread his hands, and crimson psychic energy bloomed on them. He could sense that the culprit was inside a room just a few passages away, and he could feel countless mortals waiting for them.
"They thought they had set up a flawless trap."
"They thought we were sheep!"
Varys said over the comms.
"But they were wrong!"
Bolters were raised. The moment the scorching bolter shells were fired, the door was blown open. The combined volley directly blasted the entire door apart.
Then, Varys saw them: those silent mortals raising the weapons in their hands.
This was a massacre. Laser beams struck the War Hounds. The dispersal field began to fluctuate. Varys and the other Librarians used their psychic energy to twist and kill the mortals one by one.
They writhed on the ground, wailing. Varys and his team smashed open the second large door. The appearance of several Sons of the Void made Varys gasp slightly.
"How did they get in!"
Confusion! Doubt!
But more than that, anger and self-reproach!
The Gene-Father had been targeted for assassination immediately after setting sail. If this happened to any other Legion... Varys was already prepared to beg for punishment.
These lowly ants exploded entirely. In front of the Librarians, these individuals were utterly insignificant.
Blood and flesh splattered everywhere.
Following them were several mortals armed with crude weapons.
"Bang!"
A gunshot rang out. This bullet wasn't fired by Varys or his team, but when they looked to the side, several Servitors with green light glowing in their eyes emerged from the passage.
"Ad..."
"Vance!!"
The Servitors spoke stiffly using electronic devices.
Varys stared at these Servitors.
