In the TV room, Yuuki and Einosuke sat on the sofa while the TV played quietly in the background. Einosuke was wearing his black-and-blue high school uniform, already prepared for school. Yuuki rested her hand on her cheek, her face filled with depression.
"Hey, big brother."
Einosuke called out as he looked at her. Yuuki didn't turn her head.
"What, Einosuke?"
Yuuki replied softly, her face pale. Einosuke let out a quiet sigh. He understood how his brother was feeling.
"It's time for school now. So I'm leaving. Won't you come?"
Hearing that, Yuuki looked at Einosuke with annoyance.
"Do you really think I can go to school like this? It's impossible for me. What should I even say to them? My girlfriend will be shocked."
"Yeah, I get it. But since everyone knows I'm your brother, they might ask me why you didn't come."
Yuuki sighed and stood up. Einosuke stood as well. Yuuki turned away from him and walked toward the doorway.
"Just tell them Yuuki is sick. I will talk to my father about this now."
"Oh… okay, brother…"
Yuuki slowly left the TV room.
Einosuke's shiny brown eyes softened. His mother, Hanae, came over and handed him a lunch box.
"Here, your lunch box. It's done."
"Thanks, mom."
Einosuke replied with a faint smile, but his eyes remained fixed on the doorway.
"I really feel pity for my brother. Will he really be okay?"
Einosuke thought as he packed his bag and prepared to leave for school.
CREAK!
Yuuki slowly opened the door to her father's room. Her father was lying on the bed with his legs crossed, reading a spelling book. Yuuki stopped at the doorway.
"Hey dad, I want to talk with you about something."
Yuuki spoke softly, but her voice was still strong enough to startle him. The book fell right onto Ryuji's face.
"Woagh!!"
"Oh! Hey daughter, what's up!? Need anything?"
Ryuji adjusted his glasses and sat up on the bed.
Yuuki sighed in annoyance and stepped forward.
"Dad, I have to go to school, you know?"
"Yeah, of course. Good luck."
Yuuki's eyes widened in fury as she sat down on the bed.
"What do you mean, good luck?! I've changed, you know?!"
Yuuki snapped.
"Uh—yeah, son, I get it. But actually, the truth is… last night I used a 'Gender-Changed' magic instead, since I was kinda drunk."
Ryuji admitted while holding the spelling book.
Yuuki tilted her head.
"Okay. So now bring me back."
"Um… eh… to…"
Ryuji muttered while avoiding eye contact. Yuuki's eyes narrowed.
"What are you saying? I don't understand!"
Hearing this, Ryuji sighed helplessly and finally looked at Yuuki.
"Actually, son, I couldn't find how to bring you back yet. I'm searching for it in a book. Can you stay like this a little longer?"
Yuuki's eyes widened, her soft black eyes trembling.
"You don't know how to bring me back?"
"Yeah, son. I won't lie to you. It may take some months, because I have to learn too."
Yuuki's jaw dropped. Her long, shiny black hair gently swayed as a soft breeze entered the room.
Ryuji quietly returned his gaze to the book.
"Why, dad?"
"Why did you even make your son like this?"
Yuuki spoke with emotionless eyes, her body frozen like stone.
Ryuji panicked immediately, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly.
"No, son, I'm sorry. But listen, I was drunk at that time. And then—"
[FLASHBACK]
In the TV room, Yuuki Kaito was in his original male form—black hair, black eyes—wearing a simple yellow shirt. Beside him, his mother Hanae and Einosuke sat on the sofa.
Ryuji stood unsteadily, holding a wine bottle, his face burning red.
"Woooh, y'all know I learned a new magic~"
Ryuji's body swayed like water.
"Eh? New magic? Dad never chills, haha."
Einosuke laughed while focusing on the TV.
"Darling, be careful. You'll fall on the table."
Hanae warned him with a worried expression.
Meanwhile, Yuuki sat with his fist supporting his cheek as he watched TV.
"Dad, cut it out. Please. You're making—"
"Genere cambiato!"
Before Yuuki could finish, Ryuji accidentally cast the spell, his finger pointing straight at Yuuki.
A purple glow entered Yuuki's chest.
"Huh?! What is this, dad?!"
Yuuki stood up nervously.
[CURRENT TIME]
"I didn't know the meaning of that spell. It sounded cool, so I thought it would be great to learn."
Ryuji admitted with an awkward face.
Yuuki breathed heavily and stood up from the bed.
"Uh… I get it. Dad, you are really careless. Now how can I even go to school?"
Yuuki asked with a disappointed expression.
Suddenly, Ryuji's eyes lit up as he showed Yuuki a spell written in his book.
"Look at this, son! You can go to class without a student ID or anything! I'll cast a spell on the principal, and he'll make you a transfer student!"
Ryuji said excitedly, his eyes sparkling with hope.
"Dad sure looks happy, isn't he…"
Yuuki thought with a sigh.
"Okay, fine, dad. But you have to bring me back quickly."
Yuuki agreed.
"Yep! Don't worry, son. Your father will fix it."
Ryuji smirked and gave a thumbs-up.
Yuuki slowly stepped toward the door.
At school, inside the classroom, Einosuke sat at his desk near the bench. The classroom was filled with students. A male teacher around his mid-forties, wearing a black coat, stood at the front and wrote on the whiteboard.
Einosuke rested his hand on his cheek, his pen between his lips, lost in thought.
"I never thought my brother would become this cute…"
He sighed, moving the pen slightly with his mouth.
"Einosuke. Einosuke?"
The teacher called him, but Einosuke remained lost in thought.
"Hey, Einosuke. Are you hearing me?"
The teacher walked closer.
Without realizing it, Einosuke opened his eyes and snapped—
"Damn! This is way too much for me to be stuck with such a cute face!"
The entire classroom froze.
Everyone stared at him in shock.
The teacher coughed, trying to maintain his composure.
"Excuse me. You should focus on the class instead of thinking about girls, okay?"
Hearing that, Einosuke's cheeks turned red as the boys and girls started laughing.
"Huh—no, teacher! I was just… talking…"
Einosuke stopped, not knowing how to explain.
The teacher turned back toward the board.
"Damn… this is so embarrassing. Now they think I'm a pervert…"
Einosuke thought as he covered his face with his book.
