Chapter 36 - Chapter 36. Turmoil(3)

ASHGUARD

I was sitting on my throne, impatient, waiting for the messenger to come and give the latest reports. But as usual she was taking her time. I was in my throne room, infront of me was the staircase which connect my throne to the ground made of bluish marble.

Surrounding that staircase were two golden pillars attached to the brownish cieling above me at each side of the staircase. My throne had reddish cloth while the rest of the material was of yellow-brownish gradient.

I was wearing my crimson long coat with crimson gloves on my head. Like always my hairs were tied clean, majority of the hair strands falling from the right side of my face on my forehead while few were falling from left side.

My right leg was on my left knee and my face was rested on my right fist balanced by my right elbow on the right hand of the throne. With my left index finger I was ticking on the left hand of the throne which I always do when I am getting impatient.

Infront of the me were two giant doors of golden color with yellowish wall on each side and on those walls were two big white lambs. There was also a chandelier on the cieling and it was like a crystal, bluish colored and a bit transparent too.

I exhaled a deep breath and whispered some curses for my messenger, "That bitch, she always take her time and waste mine. "

But as I whispered these words, the giant gate infront of me started opening.

The natural sunlight came inside which made the golden ornaments on my red coat shine even brighter.

Behind those big gates was a girl of around my age—around 21. She had short bluish colors ending with some bangs and some bangs falling on her forehead. She wore glasses with round lenses and she was a bit short in height.

She wore tight white tshirt with a dark bluish waiscoat half jacket on top of it and a greyish colored tie inside. On the bottom she wore black tight trousers and black heals to increase her height using materialistic ways.

Her looks were above average and to the other players, she looked cute. She was holding a black file and inside that file were numerous papers.

Adjusting her glasses she walked towards me.

With a firm voice I spoke to her, "Aren't you too late, Rim? "

Hearing my voice she startled and stopped at her position. With nervous and startled expressions she bowed her head and apologized, "Sir Ashguard I am really sorry. I was just too much occupied with the other works. "

I let out a sigh and asked with sharp eyes gazing at her, "Did you bring all the reports I asked for? "

There was a watch, a black colored watch in my right hand which was emitting ticking sound only audible to me.

With nervous and startled expressions she answered my question while holding onto the file with her both hands, "Yes, I have all the reports sir. "

The gates behind her slowly closed with DHUMP sound.

Adjusting my hairs with my left hand I ordered her, "I have no more time to read those reports. Tell me all the important things in a summary and call all the commanders and members of councils for a meeting. "

I could see a sense of nervousness on her face which was increasing every second. But she didn't let it show in her voice and that is why I had appointed her as my personal assistant and not others.

With the same confident voice she answered, "I'll arrange the meeting right away and as for the reports sir, one of our spy has got a way to intrude into the main branch of the Forest Elf Village. And we have won almost 90% of the territory of the Forest Elves but despite that almost most of them have refused to come under our command and those we forcefully took into our command has killed themself my destroying their mana core.... "

As she was telling me all these reports among which most of them sounded ridiculous to me, I let out a heavy sigh under my breath and muttered to myself, "All those efforts for nothing. "

She stopped midway and asked, "Did you say something sir? "

I casted my sharp gaze on her once again and replied, "No, nothing. Please continue. "

After having my approval she continued telling me all the important reports—though around ninety percent of them were all just ridiculous and of not much importance.

When she finished telling me all the reports which took around 10 minutes, I commanded her, "Tell that spy who found a way into the main branch of the Forest Elf Village to intrude it as soon as possible and send us the location. We can't waste anymore time in this meaningless war. "

After hearing my words there was a curious expression on her face. And I knew it very well that she had a really bad habit of letting her curiousity take control over her and so that happened this time too and she questioned, "Is there something else bugging you, sir? "

My left hand was on my forehead and my gaze was on my legs when she asked me. My eyes felt heavy as I put my gaze on her once again but this time it was not sharp, my eyes were sleepy.

"Yes.... there is one thing. You see if we let this war stretch out any longer then there's a high chance that our rival murim would see it as a full blooming opportunity and launch a surprise attack on us. "

She didn't reply, bowed and went outside of the throne room to arrange the meeting.

I changed my posture into more relaxing one. My legs stretched out, my hands stretched, resting on top of the both hands of the throne. My face looking towards the chandelier with tired expression on my face. And in that posture I was lost into the sea of thoughts inside my mind.

AIRU

Those angered elves were walking towards me with ill intentions. Their anger was justified but their action, it wasn't. They were just using the sins of the other players as an excuse to take out all the frustration on me.

Luna, Elwyn and I, we all three understood it pretty well. And so Luna stood infront of me, guarding me.

Elwyn also rushed to me while Eryndor was now left alone on the plateform, disrespected by the elves as they ignored his speech and let their anger take control over them.

Luna spoke with a loud and firm voice, "I know you all are frustrated and angered by the actions of that murim. But this player, he is not associated with that murim in any sense. And as much time as I've spent with him—even though it's little but I can still guarantee you all that he is not like them. And I don't think so friend of such person would be corrupted. I think they would be like him too and so we shouldn't restrict them from engaging with us. "

The elf leading them barked against the arguement of Luna, "Do you have any proof!? And you, an ice elf, do you even realise how much of our kind has died in this meaningless battle. We will extinct if we didn't put any end to this. And at this crucial and critical time, how can you ask to trust these players who started of all this, who made us suffer this much. "

Elwyn came infront of Luna, his both hands behind his waist. There was a look on his face which I had never saw. He was not nervous, he was not angry. He was calm, he was composed and his look was something which told me not to worry. And with that look he opened his mouth, "My fellow brothers. Just like you said, we are near to extinction and this time is really critical for us. So why shouldn't we—the Forest Elves provide others with the best hospitality we can as we have always did. Since when it became our right to label someone we don't know anything as good and as bad? "

Hearing Elwyn's words, none spoke any longer. They all had a look of guilt on their face. But they also had no intention of backing down. I wasn't really aware of what was actually going on in this realm.

Forest Elves covered around 40% of this realm and they had the most population amomg all the living beings in this realm.

A single realm size is of around 2 universes and they covered 40% of it. So how were they even brought to extinction? I didn't know.

As the elf leading those elves had no intention of backing down, he barked again with senseless argument, "But don't you reali—" but before he could even complete half of it, everyone felt an immense pressure weighing their body down and digging them into the ground—that was feeling we were feeling.

That pressure was coming from none other than him—Eryndor. His both eyes were opened starting at us.

With a loud and firm voice he threatened, "I will say it only one time. Everyone come back at your position and don't ruin this crucial talk at this critical time. "

Eryndor's words were like a sword's edge. None defied them.

Luna turned towards me and whispered to me, "Well, gotta go. "

All of them returned to their positions and I was the only one still at that place looking at all of them.

Eryndor continued again like nothing even happened and all of them acted like that too.

Well, I decided to forget all that too and checked the messages came from Ice.

[Ice: Oh, I see]

[Ice: Oh, and about meeting. Teleport to me using the Teleport To Friend option from the friend list]

[Airu: Oh, okay]

I opened the friend list and clicked on the teleport option which had the symbol of a map marker.

But before doing that I marked the location of the Forest Elf Village on the virtual map and teleported to Ice.

The weather was getting colder as the evening was arriving slowly.

I was with in the middle of the forest. She was sitting on a rock facing towards the opposite side of me when I appeared at her place. She didn't realise that I had arrived and so I sneaked to her and screamed like crazy to startle her.

And just like I had thought, she got startled so badly that she fall of that stone on the ground.

"What the fuck are you doing!? " she shouted at me with a scared expression on her face.

Looking at her face, a laughter escaped my mouth which probably made her really angery as she beat the shit out of me later.

I was holding my ears and apologizing to her when the pain from her beating finally fade away.

She was still kind of angry and didn't want to talk but somehow I convinced her.

We were in that dense forest which was connected to the Forest Elf Village. Around us were only bushes and mighty tall trees.

I asked her after everything settled between us, "What did you want to show me? "

It was like she had forgotten about me because when I asked her an expression came on her face which told me that she did forget about me. She striked with her right fist on her left palm and told me, "Oh! Yeah! Come with me. "

Then she turned towards a clean path leading to somewhere. That path had no bushes on it but was still covered by the grass patch.

I followed her from behind and was able to sense an unique and unnatural aura coming from ahead. I didn't know what it was and so I asked her, "What is it and where are you leading me to? "

Both her hands were behind her waist. When she heard my words she turned her head behind towards me and there was a smile on her face. With that smile she spoke, "Just follow me and you will see what it is. "

I rubbed the back of my head and whispered under my breath after hearing her reply, "Females are hard to understand. "

We walked for a minute or so and then I saw the end of the path which opened to a large clean grass patch in circular patch and in between of that patch something was radiating that unnatural aura I felt—a waystone and it was activated.
