At that moment, a slightly melancholic, dreamlike melody reached Allen Harris's ears.
Allen Harris lowered his arms, which had been embracing the sky and sea, and looked down to see the moon . Lovegood was already sitting on the reef, her arms wrapped around her knees, singing softly and peacefully.
Seeing this, Allen Harris also sat down and began to listen quietly.
Against the backdrop of the waves, Luna Lovegood's voice sounded even more ethereal.
"I call this the Sea of the Moon / Truly a cruel dream / On the day of my departure, your gravitational pull came unexpectedly / It was truly a long journey /... / If you can't even be open about the past, it's better not to open your heart / We only need to share this star-filled sky / Diamonds are scattered everywhere, but you can't gather them /... / The day I leave / Your gravitational pull crossed mountains, crossed waters to reach me /... / And I will return to your mind / Standing before the path you are about to take / Dangling before the path you must take / I am just waiting for you /... "
The waves crashed against the reef, and the sound of the wind rustling the leaves could be heard.
Allen Harris was astonished. For the first time in all the years since his rebirth , he felt a true inner peace; in this brief moment, he was no longer troubled by the mundane affairs of the world.
It was as if time had stopped. Allen Harris lay down on the somewhat uncomfortable reef and, captivated by the wonderful feeling, couldn't tear himself away.
But time was passing quickly, and they needed to return to attend the feast.
"This is a really beautiful place, isn't it?" Luna Lovegood said softly, her large, bulging eyes wide with surprise.
"Yes, Luna." " Lovegood ." Allen Harris turned around and took one last long look at the vast, deep sea.
Frankly, even Allen Harris himself wasn't sure if this was the sea or Luna . Lovegood's singing had completely relaxed him.
Maybe it was both.
"Leaving here will upset you, won't it?" Luna Lovegood's large eyes were fixed on Allen Harris again.
"Yes, what a pity!" sighed Allen Harris, and then stopped himself.
Althougheverything had gone smoothly for him since his rebirth and he had been successful in everything he did, the constantly working power of Mind Locking and the subconscious fear of the unknown world were always present.
Allen Harris couldn't remember the last time he had experienced such pure relaxation and joy, without having to think about anything else, since he was born.
"That's just how things are in the world." Luna Lovegood's voice was ethereal, but it sounded incredibly comforting to Allen Harris.
"Just when you've found a lovely spot to rest, a voice will call you to get up and continue on your way, because the time for rest is over." Luna Lovegood gently smoothed her wind-blown hair back.
"Do we have to go?" Allen Harris asked Luna. Lovegood spoke softly, as if asking herself the same question.
"It's up to you, Allen Harris. Your destiny is determined by your will." Luna Lovegood looked at Allen Harris; her expression was both kind and serious.
The two didn't speak for the rest of the journey, but their spiritual connection made the distance between them feel closer as they walked.
Allen Harris and Luna Lovegood walked up the hillside, onto the path, across the yard, and back to Luna 's house.
They couldn't believe their eyes when they stepped inside, into a warm and inviting environment.
The furniture had been polished until it gleamed, and the vases were filled with flowers.
Most of the rooms were as clean as possible and looked brand new.
The living room was also spotlessly clean. A large wooden clock stood in the center of the room, and an iron spiral staircase led upstairs; the steps and railings had been polished until they gleamed like glass.
"My father isn't here." Luna Lovegood looked around, glancing left and right.
From the kitchen, there were rattling and banging sounds.
Ay Lovegood directed Allen Harris towards the direction the sound was coming from.
This was the strangest kitchen Allen Harris had ever seen.
The room was shaped like a standard apartment, and it felt like you were inside a giant pepper shaker.
Everything, including the stove, sink, and cabinets, is crafted in an arc shape to match the walls and painted in bright primary colors, adorned with flowers, insects, and birds.
And Xenophilius Lovegood stood before the fireplace, waving his magic wand .
The frantic expression on her face made it seem as if she wasn't cooking, but conducting a passionate symphony.
"Ah, you're back! It's getting late, but luckily I had enough supplies ready."
Xenophilius Lovegood spoke loudly and cheerfully, filling the whole place with noise.
Luna Lovegood and Allen Harris were then tasked with setting the table.
In the dining room, the plates in the display cabinet were dazzlingly shiny.
The meal, meticulously prepared by Xenophilius , had two people placing Lovegood-branded beverages on the long dining table, with all the cups, bowls, and plates neatly arranged; the room slowly came to life.
While waiting for the feast, Luna Lovegood also led Allen Harris to a room on the second floor that appeared to be both a living room and a study; it had clearly not been tidied up in time. It resembled the unforgettable, enormous labyrinth into which the Room of Requirement had once been transformed, filled with objects preserved for centuries; however, this room was far smaller and more standardly circular. Delicate models of magical creatures hung from the ceiling , all flapping their wings or moving their mouths.
An old-fashioned printing press with many gears that seemed to turn by magic was half-covered with a cloth, and several unbound copies of the newly printed The Quibbler magazine were scattered on the floor.
A massive, grey, spiral horn, somewhat resembling a unicorn's, was mounted on the wall and extended several meters into the room. Allen Harris realized Luna recognized this horn . What Lovegood had called the "Snorkack Horn with a Twisted Horn" was actually a dangerous Class B trade item: an Erumpent horn; it would easily explode if it touched anything.
Allen Harris, acting wisely, did not argue with the young girl about it; after reminding her to be careful, he turned his gaze to another strange object: a stone bust depicting a beautiful but stern-faced Witch , perched on a cluttered, curved cabinet . The Witch wore an extremely bizarre headdress; two curved, gold-colored, hearing-isolated-like things protruded from either side, small, shimmering blue wings were embedded in a band on top of her head, and a small orange radish was attached to another band on her forehead.
"This is inspired by Rowena Ravenclaw's head shape , it looks great." Luna Lovegood, pointing again to the things that resembled hearing aids, said, "This is a Disturbing Boggart siphon... it can remove all the interference from the space around the thinker. This," she said, pointing to the small wings, " is a Spirit Light Propeller that can trigger an enhanced state of thought. Finally," she said, pointing to the small orange turnip, "this is a Zeppelin Erik that can enhance the ability to accept the unusual."
Just then, sounds from downstairs saved Allen Harris; he didn't know how to react, it was clear that guests were arriving one after another for the feast.
The hall was now bustling with activity, a cheerful atmosphere prevailed. The gentlemen's deep voices mingled with the ladies' clear, silver-bell-like voices.
Above all, Xenophilius's voice was clearly audible. Lovegood's loud and cheerful voice was inviting wizards and witches to her home.
Everyone was chatting while sampling the interesting dishes displayed on the long dining table.
"Ah, Xenophilius ! These freshwater colorful ballfish of yours are truly new and delicious. This special issue of the magazine must have sold very well. Have you considered reprinting it?"
Allen Harris looked in the direction from which the voice came and saw that the speaking male wizard had the air of a gentleman; his hair was quite white, but his eyebrows and mustache were still jet black, which made him look like a respectable elder.
"Mr. Ashton, if you are willing to invest, we can print as many copies as you need."
Xenophilius Lovegood gazed at this impressive-looking male wizard with great curiosity.
"Haha, Mr. Lovegood , your food is really good, but let's talk about investment in the future. Today is a feast day, we're not discussing business."
Mr. Ashton had completely forgotten that he was the one who had first raised the issue of reprinting.
"He won't invest," Luna Lovegood whispered in Allen Harris's ear.
Allen Harris stared at him in astonishment.
"He enjoys my father asking him for help." Luna Lovegood calmly poured herself and Allen Harris a strangely colored drink.
Allen Harris stared at the frighteningly dark and mysterious liquid and asked curiously, " Is this clove water ?"
"Concentrate, my favorite." Luna Lovegood looked at Allen Harris expectantly; it was the first time she'd shared her favorite drink with a friend.
Looking at Luna , Allen Harris, seeing Lovegood's expectant gaze, couldn't resist refusing and took a small sip.
A refreshing and cooling liquid slid across his tongue and down his throat.
Allen Harris felt a slightly bitter but very sweet taste in his throat. It gave him an incredibly soothing feeling, like being in a grassy field after the rain.
"This is a truly wonderful drink!" exclaimed Allen Harris, unable to resist taking another sip to savor its taste.
When the last guest left the Lovegood family home, Xenophilius Lovegood slumped into the leather armchair in front of the fireplace.
There seemed to be not only weariness but also a hint of sadness between her eyebrows.
"Dad, doesn't anyone want to invest?" Luna Lovegood went to him, knelt down, and gently rested her head on her father's arm.
Xenophilius Lovegood shook his head in disappointment.
Allen Harris approached with great composure and said, "Mr. Lovegood , perhaps I can solve your problems."
