Chapter 52 - chapter 52

Batman Arrives… and the Grandmaster-Talon Completely Ignores Him

Titan Tower was burning.

Glass shattered.

Sirens screamed.

A colossal silhouette moved inside the structure — slow, heavy, deliberate.

A Grandmaster-Talon was not a soldier.

It was a myth.

A corpse older than Gotham itself, reanimated with impossible precision.

A monster that felt no pain and no fear.

And it had come for Damian Wayne.

Batman Arrives First

The Batjet sliced through the sky and landed hard on the tower's rooftop.

Batman didn't wait for it to stop moving.

He leaped from the cockpit, cape whipping behind him, grappling down the tower wall in seconds.

He broke through a window—

—and the sight inside froze him.

"Grayson—!" Batman shouted.

Nightwing was on the ground, arm twisted unnaturally.

Cyborg was sparking from a massive wound.

Starfire was shaking, glowing weakly.

And towering over them all:

A giant armored Talon with glowing blue veins

like Lazarus chemicals were pumping through its bones.

Batman's hand instantly went for his belt—

explosives, charges, cryo-gel—

The Talon didn't even look at him.

Not a glance.

Not a twitch.

It stepped around Batman, as if he wasn't even worth noticing.

Batman froze.

"…What."

The Talon's head turned toward the broken windows, toward the outside.

Toward the city.

Toward—

Damian.

Batman felt his blood run cold.

Batman Tries to Stop It

"Hey!"

Batman threw a freeze grenade directly at the Talon's skull.

The creature didn't dodge.

It didn't block.

It let the device explode.

Ice encased its head, freezing half its face—

—and the Talon simply crushed the ice mask in one hand.

Batman's jaw tightened.

"Damn it."

He lunged forward, shock gloves sparking, slamming into the Talon's chest.

Nothing.

No movement.

Not even acknowledgement.

Nightwing groaned from the floor.

"B…Bruce… don't… Don't get close…"

Batman didn't look back.

"Why won't it fight me?" he growled.

Nightwing coughed.

"Because… it's not here for you…"

Cyborg Forces Out One Sentence

Cyborg, electricity dancing over his body, choked out the final piece:

"It's… hunting… your son."

Batman's heart slammed against his ribs.

And at that exact moment—

A wave of black shadow and orange flame exploded through the broken wall.

Raven burst into the room first, cloak spinning like a midnight storm.

Damian followed, sword drawn, eyes glowing with the Transparent World.

When he saw the broken Titans, his teeth clenched.

"You hurt my friends."

His aura ignited.

The Talon Reacts Instantly

For the first time since Batman arrived…

The Grandmaster-Talon moved.

Fast.

Too fast.

It stopped ignoring the world—

and snapped its head toward Damian.

Batman stepped between them.

"Stay behind me—"

Damian shoved past him.

"No. It came for me."

Raven's eyes glowed black.

"Then it dies."

Batman Realizes the Truth

The Talon crouched, preparing to leap.

Batman's mind raced.

This creature attacked the Titans.

Ignored him.

Ignored everyone—

Except Damian.

And then the truth hit him like a batarang to the chest.

The Court isn't trying to kill Damian.

They're trying to claim him.

To break him.

To turn him into their ultimate weapon.

Batman's voice shook with a rare, raw fear.

"Damian—

it wants to take you."

Damian didn't blink.

"It won't."

Batman swallowed hard.

"Son… be careful."

Damian's flames flared hotter.

"I'm always careful."

Raven stepped beside him, her hand touching his.

"No, you're not."

The Grandmaster-Talon Let Out a Roar—

A horrifying, ancient sound that shook the tower.

Damian tightened his grip on his Nichirin blade.

Raven's aura blackened the air.

Batman braced himself, knowing this fight was far beyond anything Gotham had ever seen.

The Grandmaster-Talon lunged—

straight at Damian.

And the battle of legends began.

Damian Unleashes Sun Breathing: Solar Dragon, First Form!

The battle where Gotham witnesses a legend reborn.

The Grandmaster-Talon lunged like a cannon fired from point-blank range.

Raven's shadows swirled, ready to intercept—

But Damian stepped forward.

Just one step.

And everything changed.

Transparent World — Activated

Time stretched.

Space sharpened.

Every movement became a line of destiny.

Damian saw:

The exact torque of the Talon's shoulder.

The micro-fractures in its ribcage.

The Lazarus-fused bone sinews vibrating beneath its skin.

The weak point behind its sternum… only visible for 0.3 seconds.

His pupils thinned to needle points.

His breath slowed.

And then—

Sun Breathing ignited.

Damian: "Solar Dragon… First Form."

Fire burst from his skin.

The air shimmered.

The windows cracked from the heat alone.

Raven's cloak whipped backward, her eyes widening.

Batman stumbled a step, shielding his face with his cape.

Nightwing whispered through clenched teeth:

"Holy— he's glowing—"

Batgirl, watching from a broken corner:

"Not glowing.

Burning."

The Grandmaster-Talon's momentum slowed in Damian's vision to a crawl.

Damian inhaled—

A breath older than the Demon Slayer era.

The breath of the sun itself.

And then he moved.

A Dragon of Flames Erupts From His Blade

The Nichirin katana ignited from hilt to tip.

A coiling serpent of roaring orange flame spiraled around him—

then grew—

expanded—

until a massive fire dragon tore through the tower floor, its jaws opening wide.

The sound shook the entire building.

RAAAAAAAAAHHHHH—!

The Grandmaster-Talon finally reacted—

its undead instincts screaming.

Too late.

The Strike

Damian's voice echoed like thunder:

**"Solar Dragon: First Form—

**

FLAME SERPENT PURGE!"

A horizontal slash.

One clean, perfect arc.

The fire dragon surged forward and swallowed the Grandmaster-Talon whole.

The creature's Lazarus-enhanced flesh melted instantly.

The blue liquid in its veins boiled.

Its bones split under the intensity.

It shrieked—

A sound that made even Batman's knees tighten.

The blaze smashed it into the far wall, carving a molten trench through the metal.

When the fire faded—

The Grandmaster-Talon was on its knees, half its body gone, evaporated into ash.

But it wasn't dead.

Not yet.

It lifted its head…

Bones reforming with unnatural speed.

Raven swallowed.

"…How is it still alive?!"

Damian didn't answer.

He simply stepped forward, flames flaring hotter.

Batman Realizes the Truth

For the first time, Batman saw Damian not as a weapon…

But as something else.

Something terrifyingly divine.

"…My god."

The Talon stood again, regenerating faster, its eyes locked onto Damian's.

It didn't care about Batman.

Or Raven.

Or the Titans.

It wanted the boy who walked like Yoriichi Tsugikuni reborn.

And Damian whispered:

"Round two."
