Chapter 65 - chapter 65

6-Month Time Skip — "Preparation, Blood, and Secrets"

Six months slipped by like shadows across the moon.

Damian Wayne didn't rest once.

Traveling the World — Hunting Kryptonian Knowledge

During these months he collected fragments of alien data, tech prototypes, and rare cosmic materials from:

Metropolis — stealing AI schematics Luthor didn't know were missing.

Coast City — studying Green Lantern radiation interactions.

Gotham — raiding old League of Assassins caches that even Ra's forgot existed.

Gateway City — negotiating with magical scholars for astral-metal fusion.

Every step brought the neutralization weapon closer to completion.

84% progress.

And every step reminded him the clock was still ticking.

Batman's Missions — The Training of a Survivor

Batman assigned him mission after mission:

Taking down human-trafficking rings

Stopping arms dealers

Dismantling cult leaders

Hunting rogue metas

But one mission changed everything.

Mission: Assist the Young Justice Team

Black Manta resurged.

King Shark broke free.

Aqualad led the team.

Batman sent Damian as backup — discreet backup.

But nothing stayed discreet.

The Battle on the Open Sea

The sky cracked with lightning as Aquaman clashed with Black Manta in the raging storm.

Young Justice fought Manta's soldiers across a sinking platform.

Damian engaged silently — rapid, efficient, lethal without killing.

Then—

A massive shadow rose from the water.

King Shark.

His roar shook the metal structure.

Aqualad pushed two teammates aside—

And King Shark lunged.

CRUNCH.

King Shark's jaws clamped onto Aqualad's torso.

Blood exploded into the water.

He was nearly torn in half.

Superboy shouted.

Miss Martian screamed.

Kid Flash froze.

Aqualad's heartbeat collapsed.

The team thought he was going to die.

Damian Didn't Hesitate

He slid across the soaked metal, grabbed Aqualad's body and—

[System Notification: "Use Senzu Bean?"]

"Do it."

Damian placed the bean in Aqualad's mouth and forced his jaw to move.

Everyone watched in horror as blood pooled.

Then—

A burst of golden light.

Aqualad gasped violently, eyes shooting open, wounds sealing in seconds.

Superboy:

"What—what the hell was that?!"

Kid Flash:

"Dude… he was dead!"

Miss Martian stared at Damian in shock and fear.

"Where did you get that? What did you just do?!"

And that's when the Justice League arrived.

Superman.

Wonder Woman.

Flash.

Martian Manhunter.

Aquaman.

All of them saw the last glow of the senzu bean's miracle fading.

Justice League Interrogation

Superman stepped forward first.

"Damian. What. Was. That?"

Wonder Woman narrowed her eyes.

"Magic? Alchemy? Forbidden healing?"

Aquaman grabbed Aqualad in disbelief, staring at his fully healed body.

Flash zipped around Damian.

"That shouldn't be possible, kid!"

They surrounded him.

Every sensor.

Every scan.

Every suspicion.

Damian stood firm, expression unreadable.

He opened his mouth to speak—

THUD.

A grappling hook landed between them, sparking.

Batman Lands in Silence

Batman walked straight toward the Justice League, cape dragging through seawater.

His voice was a command.

"Enough."

Superman frowned. "Bruce—"

"I said enough."

Batman stepped between Damian and the League.

"He saved Aqualad's life.

He used a resource I gave him."

(That was a lie. A perfect lie.)

Flash blinked. "Wait—you had that healing thing?!"

Batman's stare said: stop asking questions.

Wonder Woman folded her arms.

"But Bruce—"

Batman's voice dropped an octave.

"You will not interrogate my son."

The League backed down.

Even Superman.

Damian blinked—

He had expected Batman to cover for him, but not this fiercely.

Aftermath — Quiet Words

When the League left, only Batman and Damian remained on the battered deck.

Water dripped from Bruce's cowl.

"You used a senzu bean."

"Yes."

"Your second one."

"Yes."

Batman stared into the waves.

"…Good choice."

Damian raised an eyebrow. "You're not angry?"

Bruce placed a gloved hand on his shoulder.

"No. I'm proud."

Damian almost forgot how to breathe.

End of Six Months

By the time they returned to Gotham:

Kryptonian Weapon Progress: 92% Complete.

Time Remaining: 2 Months.

The storm of fate was approaching.

And the world still had no idea what Damian Wayne was building.
