No one talked in the car. But Jasper couldn't hold his curiosity anymore and asked hoping Ruby would answer him
" Hey, the man said Don ordered him why didn't you believe him. I mean it's make sense the officer's investigation interrupted his business too. Judging from his brutality, is a surprise the officer had lived this long. "
After saying it he waited for response but Ruby didn't answer. She was just staring blankly through the window. Jasper sighed helplessly and focused on the road. Just when ahe thought Ruby wasn't going to answer, she said almost in a whisper
" Don is the mastermind no doubt. But the guy got me thinking... Don's men are really loyal to him and would rather die than betray him. Besides he revealed the mastermind quicker than I thought. It is two thing's here, either Don really sent him but he's a coward or someone sent him. But..... someone has to pay for this and Don be better prepared"
Jasper smiled in amazement, Ruby was very smart and it was quite difficult to fool her. He went further to ask
" What about the safe, what's with it "
Ruby answered
" I donno. But I know they are important and can be of good use to me. Just need to figure our the rest of the password. "

Behind the tree, Ruby stood in black hood and dark pants with a black mask on her face and tears in her eyes. At a distance, she could see her uncle been burried and several people mourning. She was really sad and couldn't help but cry more. She waited behind the tree for several hours and only got out when everyone was gone. She looked at the name on the tomb and sat on the ground crying bitterly. The very last person she wanted to die was her uncle.
The sky became dark. The clouds gathered fast. Thunder grumbled warning and soon heavy rain poured. Even as it poured, Ruby stood in, the tears mixed with the rain until she didn't know if she was crying or not. After standing in for more than 30 minutes, she stood up, took off her wet mask and walked away. Her clothes were dripping and she cared less. It was still raining and she was still walikng in nonchalantly. She didn't bring her car and she didn't want to take a cab, just felt like walking. She didn't even know when she reached the streets, her mind kept wandering around thinking of the best way to kill the mastermind. Surprisingly, as she was walking in the rain, a black Mercedes Benz pulled over and stopped in front of her. The door opened and a very familiar yet annoying face came into view. He rushed to her with an umbrella in his hands and placed it on top of her. Then he removed his coat without second thought and placed it on her shoulders. After that he scolded her nonstop like a child
" What is wrong with you. Do you want to catch cold. Why are you even here. Look, look up it is raining can't you see."
Then he remembered they were still in the rain.
" Aaaah " he groaned in frustration. Before Ruby could process what was going on she was swiftly carried into the car. She was stunned and froze. But she quickly regained her senses and furiously asked
" What the hell is the meaning of this. Did I tell you I needed a ride. "
But he didn't listen to her and just stopped the car. Then with a hint of concern in his eyes, he asked patiently
" Why would you walk in the rain for that long. You could get sick. What happened maybe I can be of help "
Ruby was totally caught of guard by the sudden concern. But she wasn't ready to share her problems.
" You happened, I had to meet you in the middle of the road and since the sky knew, it punished me by making it rain "
Lucas smirked and said
" Are you sure, because the sky said you were thinking about me and refused to leave the rain until you see me "
Ruby retorted
" jerk, you are such a pervert "
She tried opening the door but realized it was locked. She begun fuming in anger and yelled
" What is the fucking meaning of this. Why is the door locked. Open it at this instant "
Lucas stared at her in awe and asked with his annoying yet beautiful smirk
" Is that a command love "
Ruby glared at him and answered
" Yes it is. I command you to open this door now "
Lucas chuckled and shoke his head slightly saying
" You know what love, you are the most interesting person I've ever encountered in my life. I would do anything for you but not this sorry. At least not when you're not in your right senses "
At this momment, if Ruby were to be an anime, it was no doubt that red smoke would have been coming out of her ears and her face would have been red like a fresh tomato.
" Not in my right senses? Are you implying that I'm insane."
Damn, Lucas's face turned pale. He never said that, oh this cursed mouth of his. He quickly tried to explain
" It is not what you think. I'm saying since your day is already bad, letting you go, is the worst option, I.... want to be here for you "
The last part was said with different emotion that left Ruby speechless. It almost felt sincere in her ears. But she quickly rolled her eyes and said
" You wish "
Then feeling helpless and knowing that arguing with Lucas was pointless, she slowly closed her eyes drowning in her sorrow. Lucas saw this and sighed lightly then drove the car. He felt so excited to the point that he wrnt as far as to boldly think that maybe Ruby was beginning to like him. On the way he asked,
" Where are you going I will take you there "
Ruby was about to say home but stopped herself in time and said
" Any where"
Lucas said
" Alright I know a place, let's go there "
Ruby said nothing. As the silence became eerie, Lucas asked
" But, hey are you this gullible. You barely know me but you agreed to go with me. People are usually not who you think they are. If that is really how you are then I would advice you to change."
Then he winked and added
" You might not know when you would meet an assassin "
Ruby suddenly opened her eyes and shot him a glare. Then she suddenly smiled and said
" Interesting, are you also this gullible. You barely knew me and yet you made me sit in your car. People are usually not who you think they are. If that is really how you are then I would advice you to change."
Then she also winked at him and added with a dangerous smile
" You might not know when you would meet an assassin "
Lucas felt his adrenaline moving faster than ever in his body. He felt so excieted feeling that Ruby was just the right person for him. Then he happily said
" I don't mind if it's you. Girl you are the best "
