Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Operating Room

One month later, inside the hospital library.

Gisei sat on the sofa, leisurely smoking a cigarette while Tsunade practiced medical ninjutsu in front of him.

To be honest, Gisei really didn't think Tsunade could master this specific technique.

It was his unique medical ninjutsu.

Running a finger over a wound could instantly cause it to scab over. It looked simple, but the chakra control required was actually no less demanding than a forbidden technique.

Moreover, although it was very convenient, it also caused greater damage to the patient.

People over fifty absolutely could not use this kind of treatment; at best, their hair would turn white, and at worst, they would lose their lives. This was no joke.

Young people could rely on their strong bodies to bounce back, and as long as they watched their diet afterward, they would recover sooner or later. But for people over fifty, whose bodies had already begun to age, even dietary therapy wouldn't do much good.

Just as Gisei was thinking about this, Tsunade suddenly smashed her fist onto the table.

A fish flopped vigorously on the ground, looking quite lively.

The reason for using fish was simple: a fish's life wasn't worth money, and compared to humans, they were much easier to practice on.

"Gisei! Are you tricking me? Can chakra control really reach the level you described?"

"Tsunade, you can question my words, but you cannot question my character. I took the money to do a job, and I absolutely do not cheat anyone, young or old."

"You jerk, you have the nerve to say that? You took my fifty million, and up to now, I haven't learned a single thing!"

"Hmm... Tsunade, you said it yourself back then. As long as I was willing to teach, the money was mine."

"What did you say?!"

Tsunade grinned ferociously, clenched her fist, and charged toward him.

Gisei hurriedly stood up, tossed away the cigarette in his mouth, and said helplessly, "I get it, I get it. I'll demonstrate it for you one more time."

Finding a new table, Gisei placed the fish on it. After cutting open a wound, he gently ran his finger over it. In an instant, the fish began to flop around vigorously again.

"If you can't even succeed with a fish, don't even think about trying it on humans. That would be no different from killing people."

Tsunade sneered. "Just tell me directly how to improve my chakra control. I've watched this demonstration dozens of times, and it has no effect at all."

Actually, it wasn't that there was no effect; Tsunade wasn't stupid. Compared to before, her treatment time for the fish had significantly shortened.

It was just that compared to Gisei, it wasn't worth mentioning.

Gisei began to regret taking this woman's money. She clearly had ulterior motives.

Improving chakra control didn't just rely on the butterfly species; their clan also had other training methods. This was a secret technique, so giving it away for fifty million was a massive loss.

Just as Gisei was frowning, the door to the library was suddenly shoved open.

"Squad Leader, bad news! A woman in labor started hemorrhaging before she even got onto the operating table. Hurry and take a look—any later and she'll be gone!"

Gisei looked delighted at the interruption. Without a word, he ran out following the medical squad member.

Tsunade gritted her teeth and followed.

When a human life was at stake, she couldn't mess around.

But this guy... Gisei really took her for a fat sheep. Did he think fifty million was that easy to take?

She had gone back and asked her grandmother, Mito Uzumaki, and knew very well that Gisei was hiding something. That kind of technique was definitely a secret passed down within the Butterfly User Clan, and she didn't think she could get her hands on it easily.

If Gisei actually gave it to her, she would be afraid to take it. Plotting for another ninja clan's secret technique was essentially declaring a blood feud. She would at least have to ask her family elders before daring to accept it.

She knew this wasn't very moral, but chakra control was simply too important to her. Not only for medical ninjutsu, but even her own combat strength would increase significantly.

In front of the operating room door, a man with hair tied up like a pineapple was pacing back and forth nervously.

When Gisei walked up, the man gave him a surprised look.

Nara clan?

Pushing open the door, the woman's painful, shrill screams instantly assaulted Gisei's eardrums. He frowned, rubbed his ears, and walked forward.

Tsunade followed him in. The pineapple-headed man tried to peek inside, but Tsunade grumpily kicked him back and slammed the door shut.

"Squad Leader, we might not be able to save the child. The medical ninjutsu is working too slowly. In a few more minutes, the mother will bleed out."

"Should we go out and ask for the family's opinion?"

At this moment, the mother on the table fought through her pain and gasped weakly, "Save the... child."

Barely getting the words out, she began to scream in agony again.

Hearing that sound, the veins on Gisei's forehead bulged.

People who haven't heard it can't understand that kind of pain; it was like a roar from the abyss of death.

Without a word, he stepped up and performed a flurry of crazy actions.

First, he severed the nerves in the mother's upper body. Then, with a sharp chop of his hand, he knocked her unconscious.

Seeing this scene, the medical ninjas, nurses, and doctors all froze, their expressions shifting to pure horror.

Gisei didn't care about their feelings. He let out a breath of foul air and said, relaxed, "Finally, it's quiet."

Everyone in the room looked at each other, their eyelids twitching in unison.

Is this saving a person or killing a person?

A medical squad member spoke up nervously. "Squad Leader, you..."

"Shut up!"

Gisei's shout echoed through the operating room.

"You can't save the child, you can't stop the bleeding, and you still want to run out and ask for the family's opinion? What kind of melodramatic plot is this?"

"Someone else's pain is just proof of your incompetence!"

This was the first time Gisei had lost his temper since becoming squad leader. He was genuinely made dizzy by that noise.

Everyone fell silent out of fear, but a strange light flashed in Tsunade's eyes. She took two steps forward. "Is there anything we can do?"

After briefly checking the situation, Gisei ordered, "I'll help her stop the bleeding first. You guys get ready for a blood transfusion."

Gisei placed his hand on the mother's belly, closed his eyes, and began to sense carefully.

A moment later, he formed hand seals rapidly, then gently tapped her abdomen. Black formulas spread quickly across her skin.

A layer of green, glowing bubbles that looked like a mix of water and oil appeared on the mother's body. Under Gisei's control, they quickly shrank toward her abdomen.

"Start the blood transfusion."

After giving the order, Gisei held up a finger, and a chakra scalpel took shape.

He didn't hesitate. He used the chakra scalpel to cut open the mother's belly, revealing the amniotic sac wrapped around the baby.

Not just Tsunade, but everyone's eyes almost popped out of their skulls.

What kind of operation is this?
