Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Suns and Storms in the Moonlight

The dawn of the ninth day broke over Twilight Domain, sunlight spilling across the City Wall and the rooftops of Dawn, Eclipse, and Dusk. Sam rose from his bed, Phoenix Battle Robes shimmering faintly in the morning light. Indra stretched beside him, stormlight flickering lazily across his stripes.

Sam opened the System interface. [Daily Free Troop Summon Available.]

"Solar Warriors," he commanded.

Light flared in the training yard. A squad of armored warriors appeared, shields gleaming, spears ready. They knelt before him, voices unified. "Twilight Lord."

Sam nodded. "You'll join the hunt. All troops are to spread out, hunt beasts, and loot cores. Tier Four is the minimum. No one returns until they reach it."

The Solar Warriors saluted, marching off to join the others. Across the domain, soldiers prepared for the day's hunt, determination etched into their faces.

With the troops gone, Sam turned to his own training. He summoned the Sun Blade, its radiant light cutting through the morning air. He moved across the training yard, each strike fluid, each parry precise. The Phoenix Battle Robes flowed with his movements, amplifying his speed and strength.

By midday, sweat glistened across his brow. He sheathed the Sun Blade, resting briefly.

As night fell, he summoned the Lunar Blade. Its silver glow shimmered, casting pale light across the courtyard. The blade hummed softly, resonating with the moon overhead.

Moon Mages gathered nearby, drawn by the weapon's aura. Their eyes widened as Sam practiced, the Lunar Blade weaving arcs of silver light. Whispers spread among them.

"His blade resonates with our magic."

"It's as if the moon itself guides him."

Sam swung again, the Lunar Blade cutting through the night air, its glow harmonizing with the mages' spells. He felt the synergy, the connection between his weapon and their power.

Curious, Sam walked to the Mage Tower, observing the Moon Mages at work.

White and purple orbs of energy floated above their hands — Moon, Gravity, and Star magic intertwining. They launched lances of light, bolts of gravity, walls of shimmering force. Ritual circles glowed on the ground, multiple mages chanting in unison, their voices weaving spells together.

Sam watched as a group of mages cast a gravity field. The ground caved inward, pressure collapsing soil and stone. Soldiers nearby stumbled, awed by the destructive force.

Other mages practiced joint spell casting, combining Moonlight Bolts with Starfire Lances, creating dazzling explosions of energy. Some conjured protective walls, shimmering barriers that absorbed strikes before shattering into sparks.

Sam's eyes narrowed with admiration. "Their discipline… their power. With this, the walls will hold."

The Moon Mages bowed as he passed, their respect clear. Sam returned to the courtyard, Lunar Blade humming faintly in his hand. The domain was alive with training, every soul preparing for war.

The courtyard was quiet, torches flickering against the City Wall. Sam stood with Helios at his side, Indra bounding playfully across the stones.

"Show me your strength," Sam said softly.

Indra's stripes flared, stormlight pulsing. His body shimmered, fur bristling. Lightning crackled across his frame, arcs of blue energy dancing along his claws. In a flash, the cub transformed.

He grew taller, broader — 1.5 meters at the shoulder, 2 meters long. His black and blue fur shimmered like storm clouds, lightning forming a near‑armor around him. His deep blue eyes glowed, cracks of power radiating outward.

Sam's breath caught. "Battle Form…"

Indra roared, the sound shaking the courtyard. He lunged forward, claws glowing with stormlight, biting at the air with lightning‑infused fangs. His tail lashed, sparks flying.

He unleashed his ranged attacks:

• Storm Slash — a wave of lightning energy that carved across the courtyard.

• Lightning Roar — a deafening cry that sent arcs of paralysis into the air.

• Lightning King's Roar — Indra raised his head, roaring toward the sky. Storm clouds gathered, lightning flashing. A pillar‑sized bolt of energy crashed down, splitting stone.

Sam shielded his eyes, awe flooding his chest. "Incredible…"

Helios's flames flared, eyes narrowing. "Impressive. But raw power without discipline is wasted."

He spread his wings, rising into the air. "Come, Storm Tiger. Face me."

Indra growled, stormlight surging. He leapt, claws glowing. Helios dodged, talons slashing. Sparks flew as lightning met flame.

Helios attacked with precision:

• Sun Blasts — radiant spheres of fire that exploded on impact.

• Sun Slashes — arcs of flame that cut through the air.

• Miniature Suns — conjured orbs that hovered, then streaked toward Indra, exploding in bursts of heat and light.

• Beak and Talon Strikes — sharp, fast, relentless.

Indra countered with lightning‑infused bites, claw strikes, and tail lashes. He roared, summoning storms, bolts crashing down. But his movements were wild, unrefined.

Helios dodged easily, striking with controlled precision. "You have power, but no experience. I will teach you."

Sam watched in awe, Sun Blade in hand, eyes tracking every clash. Phoenix and Storm Tiger fought across the courtyard, lightning and flame colliding, sparks raining down.

Indra stumbled, panting, but his eyes burned with determination. Helios landed, flames dimming. "You will learn. And when you do, you will be unstoppable."

Sam knelt beside Indra, stroking his fur. "You'll grow, little one. With Helios guiding you, you'll reach heights no one can imagine."

Indra purred softly, stormlight flickering.

Far away, in a forest clearing two days from Twilight Domain, the goblin‑wolf army gathered.

A Tier Seven Goblin Rider sat astride a massive wolf, armor blackened, eyes glowing with malice. Around him, 25 Wolf Alphas snarled, their packs restless. Goblin tribe leaders, shamans, and riders filled the clearing — warriors ranging from Tier Four to Six.

The Great Goblin Shaman raised his staff, chanting. "The human Overlord must fall. His head will be mine."

The Tier Seven Rider sneered. "By dawn, we march. Forty‑Five forces united. Wolves, goblins, shamans. We will erase him."

The army roared, wolves howling, goblins shrieking. The clearing shook with their fury.

Two days away, the storm gathered.

Scene 7: Food & Farming Plans

After the clash between Helios and Indra, Sam turned his mind to something less glorious but equally vital: food. Twilight Domain was growing rapidly, and buying supplies from the System every day was unsustainable.

He summoned one of the Tier 4 Lunar Lizard Knights. "Take two others. Hunt wild boars, deer, rabbits — anything we can breed in the Monster Ranch. We need long‑term food."

The knight saluted, spear gleaming. "At once, Twilight Lord."

Sam walked the perimeter of the City Wall, eyes scanning the land. He set aside a large tract of ground within the walls. "This will be farmland," he murmured. "Protected, sustainable."

He gave the details to One, who delivered them to Two, who in turn informed the leaders of each town. Sam purchased seeds from the System — grains, vegetables, herbs — though no farming equipment was available. He handed the seeds to One, trusting the villagers to improvise.

"With wells and endless flasks, water is no issue," Sam thought. "With the Monster Ranch, meat will come. Farming will complete the circle."

The vision of a self‑sustaining domain took shape.

Scene 8: Evening Rest

That evening, Sam fed Helios, Indra, and himself. The Phoenix ate calmly, flames flickering with satisfaction. Indra devoured his meal eagerly, stormlight sparking across his fur.

Afterward, Sam bathed in the manor's pool. Indra leapt in beside him, splashing wildly. The cub swam in circles, pounced at bubbles, and leapt out only to dive back in again. Sam laughed, exhaustion easing for a moment.

At Tier 5, his body needed little rest, but the mental strain of leadership weighed heavily. He leaned back, closing his eyes, listening to Indra's playful growls and splashes.

"Even warlords need peace," he murmured.

Scene 9: Tenth Day — Morning Report

The tenth day dawned. Sam stirred, only to find Indra sprawled across him, stormlight flickering faintly in sleep. He chuckled, lifting the cub gently.

Before he could rise, One materialized from the shadows, bowing low. "Twilight Lord, the report."

Sam sat up, listening.

• Over 200 troops had reached Tier Four overnight.

• The Lunar Knights had returned multiple times with fresh game:• 20 wild boars

• 50 rabbits

• 32 Shock Lizards — each a meter long, half a meter tall, fast and vicious.• They hunted in packs.

• They discharged lightning from their bodies.

• Their bites carried paralyzing magic.

• Their meat tasted like chicken.

Sam raised an eyebrow at the last detail, giving One a questioning look. One's expression remained unreadable.

Sam chuckled. "Shock Lizards that taste like chicken. This world never ceases to surprise me."

He rose, Indra padding beside him, Helios descending from the sky. The domain was alive with growth, training, and preparation.

Sam exhaled, gripping his Sun Blade. "The tenth day will be just as interesting as the first nine."
