Andrew floated in his modified space pod, the hum of the engines a constant backdrop to his thoughts. His body was still recovering from the Krieeza fight muscles ached, energy depleted, but alive.
I did it. I actually killed him. Avenged my race.
He stared at his hand, remembering the golden glow. Super Saiyan. The legend he'd known about from his past life, now a reality he'd achieved.
In my old life, I watched Goku transform. Saw Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, all of them achieve it. But actually doing it myself…
The pod's interior lights flickered.
Andrew tensed immediately. "What the—"
Reality itself seemed to warp. The space around his pod distorted, colors bending unnaturally. Then, a portal materialized directly in front of him—pink and gold energy swirling in patterns that defied physics.
From it stepped a small figure: pink hair, youthful face with ancient eyes, wearing Supreme Kai robes.
Andrew: (eyes widening, recognition immediate) Holy shit. That's Chronoa. The Supreme Kai of Time.
But he kept his expression neutral, confused.
Andrew: "Who… who are you? How did you get into my pod?"
Chronoa: (smiling) "My name is Chronoa, Supreme Kai of Time. And I've been observing you, Andrew Hayado. Or should I say… the Saiyan who defeated Krieeza and achieved Super Saiyan."
Andrew's mind raced. She knows about me. About the transformation. And if she's here…
Andrew: "Supreme Kai of Time? I don't understand. What do you want with me?"
Chronoa: "I've been watching the time stream—monitoring timelines across the multiverse for disturbances. Recently, two beings named Towa and Mira have been interfering with critical historical events. Specifically, they've been targeting the Dragon Ball timeline."
Andrew kept his face carefully blank, but internally: Towa and Mira. Time distortions. This is the Xenoverse plot. She's recruiting me for the Time Patrol.
Chronoa: "I need warriors—strong, disciplined fighters who can travel through time to fix these distortions before entire timelines collapse. And after watching your battle with Krieeza…" Her expression grew serious. "You're exactly the kind of warrior I need."
Andrew: "You want me to… what? Fight through time? Fix history?"
Chronoa: "Yes. I know it sounds strange—"
Andrew: "Strange doesn't begin to cover it." He paused, appearing to think. "But… if these Towa and Mira are as dangerous as you say, and entire timelines are at risk…" He met her eyes. "What would this involve?"
Chronoa: (brightening) "You'd join the Time Patrol—a group of warriors dedicated to protecting history. You'd train with some of the strongest fighters across multiple timelines, take missions to correct temporal anomalies, and help stop Towa and Mira's plans."
Andrew: "And my home? Earth? My brother?"
Chronoa: "The Time Nest exists outside normal time flow. You can train and take missions, then return to Earth at any point you choose. As far as your world is concerned, you'll have been gone for the time it takes to travel home."
Perfect. I can train with Future Gohan, Xeno Goku, Xeno Vegeta—all the fighters I know from my past life—and still make it back for the DxD canon timeline.
Andrew: (appearing hesitant) "This is… a lot to take in."
Chronoa: "I understand. But Andrew—" She floated closer. "You've already proven you fight for others. That you'll sacrifice for what's right. The Time Patrol needs that. I need that."
Andrew was quiet for a long moment, then nodded.
Andrew: "Alright. I'll join. But I want to make sure my family and friends on Earth are safe. Can you guarantee that?"
Chronoa: (smiling warmly) "I promise. And Andrew?" Her expression grew softer. "Thank you. For trusting me."
Andrew: "Just show me what I need to do."
Chronoa extended her hand, and the portal widened.
Chronoa: "Welcome to the Time Patrol
