Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Enjoying Life

After the two left, satisfied with Shea Thorne's greatest vanity, the party ended. Milo Sinclair accompanied Shea Thorne for a walk to clear the smell of alcohol from their bodies.

The downtown area wasn't too chilly, and many pedestrians walked by. Milo Sinclair shielded Shea Thorne by his side to prevent her from getting bumped by the crowd.

The driver was following not too far behind. As the cool night breeze blew, Shea Thorne's rationality gradually returned from the earlier façade of luxury. She turned to Milo Sinclair and asked, "The youngest vice president?"

When she followed Milo Sinclair into the hospital, she had heard others refer to him as a vice president. But today, being called the youngest vice president piqued her curiosity.

"I remember the most famous person in Sinclair Private Hospital is President Silvanus Sinclair. When did that change to you?" In the past two years, Miles Crawford had always admired the Sinclair Family. When he and Ariana Thorne got along well, he often talked about Silvanus Sinclair, so he was quite familiar with Silvanus Sinclair's illustrious achievements.

Unexpectedly, today she heard Milo Sinclair's name from others, using the same praises reserved for Silvanus Sinclair.

"Well, I'm not as talented, but I beat Silvanus Sinclair to the vice presidency by two months, therefore replacing him and claiming the title of youngest vice president." Milo Sinclair took off his coat and draped it over Shea Thorne. Even though it was December, the temperature hadn't plummeted dramatically, but there was still a gentle breeze at night.

The coat carried his body temperature. It didn't have the scent of men's cologne or the lingering fragrance of women's perfume from the banquet earlier. Instead, a faint scent of herbal medicine mixed with the aroma of wine from the party. The blend was quite pleasing, rather than overwhelming.

For some reason, Shea Thorne thought of Sharon Somerset chatting in the dorm about what Milo Sinclair might smell like. Was he marinated in herbal medicine?

Yet, he didn't ask about the morning incident and behaved naturally without pretense towards her, making Shea Thorne regard him more highly.

In her understanding, men were often sensitive to such matters. What happened in the morning was undoubtedly questionable. Even if he accused her of being fickle, she wouldn't be able to clear her name.

"About this morning, don't you have anything to say?" Since he didn't ask, Shea Thorne initiated the topic. She didn't want to resort to settling scores later. Sweet talk now and suspicions later wouldn't do—better to end things early.

"What happened this morning?"

Milo Sinclair appeared puzzled, then recalled the video incident and chuckled, "There's nothing to say. I don't involve myself in private emotions, but it's wrong they didn't rescue you. I feel responsible and should reflect, and they should be criticized. As for you, you're free and have the right to choose whom to make friends with."

This is the basic freedom of human rights, not to be lost because of someone's pursuit.

"It's normal for a girl to assess several suitors before making friends." Milo Sinclair casually added, "Only after confirming a relationship does fidelity need to come into play."

"All I can do is show you I'm more competitive. The choice is up to you." If the final result wasn't satisfactory, there was no need to lament self-pity.

"What if I say you need to deal with Zoe Wymond for me, or it's a no-go?" Shea Thorne feigned arrogance, "You said yourself, the initiative is mine."

So, she felt she had the right to ask Milo Sinclair to do anything, even to take revenge on Zoe Wymond.

"Personal reasons for me to intervene in punishment? That's not going to work." Milo Sinclair declined directly and said, "However, if you want to slap her, rest assured I'll protect you. As long as I'm around, she wouldn't dare retaliate."

In other words, he didn't engage in petty fights between girls, but he would protect Shea Thorne.

That showed some responsibility on his part, not losing his principles just for pursuing a girl.

"Besides, as a senior, there's no need to bicker with juniors." Milo Sinclair unexpectedly remarked. At National Medical University, the hierarchy was strict, and Milo Sinclair was no ordinary teacher. Graduating students couldn't just leave without acknowledgment.

Quite the contrary, if they wished to work at Sinclair Private Hospital and receive help from fellow alumni, they had to respect Milo Sinclair.

If Shea Thorne was with him, she'd be considered a generation senior to Zoe Wymond, so naturally, she couldn't take her seriously.

"What if I use you to get close to Miles Crawford? You know, he and I grew up together, and maybe I'm obsessed, willing to do anything for him." Shea Thorne said on purpose; she couldn't believe there was a man this collected, and suspected that Milo Sinclair's intentions were obvious, probably fooling her.

This time, Milo Sinclair didn't keep his composure as well. With a stern expression, he said, "All I have to do is give an 'X,' and Miles Crawford's future is ruined."

Failing courses, unable to graduate or join the Sinclair Group, and finding no good job, all at Milo Sinclair's discretion.

Considering this, Shea Thorne found it truly appealing, torturing Miles Crawford while sticking with Milo Sinclair, hitting two birds with one stone!

But inside her, Ariana Thorne was unwilling, and wouldn't let anyone harm Miles Crawford.

Before long, Shea Thorne felt tired. Her high heels, worn for the banqueting aesthetics, had overly high heels and weren't comfortable for walking.

Her skirt was a bit short, and while the coat covered her upper body, it didn't shelter her lower half. Milo Sinclair promptly beckoned the driver over, and they got into the car.

The driver then slowly drove towards F University. Milo Sinclair lowered the partition inside the car and retrieved a pair of fluffy cute slippers, placing them at Shea Thorne's feet so she could comfortably remove her high heels.

She had been on her feet all day, and it was taking its toll.

"How was today? Did you have fun this afternoon?" Milo Sinclair handed her a glass of water and, while passing a tablet from the box to her, asked, "I meant being with me."

His words carried dual meanings: one referring to dating him today, and the other to the beautiful life she enjoyed that afternoon.

Things unreachable by ordinary people were easily attainable with Milo Sinclair. The vanity and compliments above grandeur, Milo Sinclair could offer her.

He spent the afternoon proving one thing: being with him meant stepping up more than one class, possibly even reaching the finish line directly.

Milo Sinclair's appearance and physique were top-tier, his character stable and free from irrational blame, and he could provide money and fame—clearly the best choice.

Just when she clearly understood the implication, Ariana Thorne also grasped it.

She hadn't expected her recovery to be so good, influencing Shea Thorne again within hours.

The scenery outside raced past, the bustling Kingscrest enchanting in its splendor.

Seeing her remain silent, Milo Sinclair thought she didn't comprehend, so he turned on the car's roof light to brighten their view, then reached to help her open the tablet. Inside, there were posters and photos of symphony orchestras and performers, along with their profiles marking the dates of the latter half of the year.

"These artists will be performing in the country in the latter half of this year. If you fancy any, I can arrange a private recital just for you." Milo Sinclair scrolled through the pictures on the tablet, explaining, "Too bad we met too late, otherwise, I could have secured a performance solely for you today."

Since she liked music, he was appealing to her interests, certain it would captivate her.

"Or do you prefer flowers or gifts? I can satisfy any wish." Milo Sinclair adapted to her whims. As a man of his age, he'd gained plenty of experiences and intuitively believed hiring performers would please her more than giving flowers.

Undoubtedly, Shea Thorne was delighted. In the tablet she held, these performers were at the pinnacle of talent; even obtaining concert tickets was challenging. In her current state, she still needed to consider if she could afford tickets.

But Milo Sinclair had the means to invite them to perform just for her.

"Give me an answer, Ariana."
