Miles Crawford was left alone in the lounge. Zoe Wymond had hoped he would comfort her, but he just sat there in silence, staring blankly into space, his mind completely filled with thoughts of Shea Thorne.
"Miles..." Zoe called out to him, but he was truly lost in a daze and didn't hear her at all.
When Shea had shouted, "Jonah Bell is so handsome!" just moments ago, her eyes had shone brightly. She used to call out to him like that in the past, but it had been a long time since she last spoke to him.
When she was brought in yesterday, he had gone to the administrative office, wanting to transfer Shea's hospital bills to his account and use his annual family-member quota to cover her expenses.
However, the clerk told him that Shea was already using a family-member quota.
Sinclair Hospital had a strict hierarchy. As an intern, there was no way he could find out whose quota Shea was using.
