It was only half a month into summer vacation when Skye Yardley called Ariana Thorne, saying that her family was grateful to her for going through hardship on their behalf and invited her to Port Valen for a trip.
Port Valen is a trade city where amusement parks and shopping can be done all at once. Ariana Thorne had nothing much to do at home, and taking a trip to avoid Milo Sinclair seemed like a good idea, so she happily agreed to go with her.
The next day, as soon as Ariana Thorne got downstairs, she saw Skye Yardley. She felt something was off; this didn't look like they were going on a trip.
Next to Skye Yardley stood a boy in a military uniform. The two stood below her apartment, and seeing her come down, Skye Yardley enthusiastically ran over to hug Ariana Thorne's arm, and the boy in the uniform helped her with her suitcase, as the three of them walked towards a not-so-noticeable Jeep.
