The much-neglected "former favorite" Sparkle Gold fake-cried twice, continued reading the script, but her phone suddenly rang.
"May I speak to Miss Sparkle Gold?"
"This is she."
"Finally got a hold of you," the person on the other end said excitedly. "Hello, this is the 'Star Comes' program team. We'd like to invite you to participate in tonight's live broadcast. Are you interested?"
"Huh?" Sparkle Gold was stunned.
This is too sudden!
"Is your schedule not allowing it?" The voice on the other side grew noticeably anxious.
"No, I'm just surprised."
"So, are you willing to participate?"
"Of course."
"That's great. Please be at the studio by 5 PM for makeup; the show starts at 8 PM sharp."
"Okay."
"There's one more thing I need to tell you..."
"Linda Hancock will be there too, right?"
"Since you already know, I won't say more. Looking forward to seeing you tonight, goodbye."
After hanging up, Sparkle Gold couldn't help but chuckle.
