Whistles and cheers suddenly erupted from the crowd, stunning Alina who had been on the verge of changing her mind and running straight back into the car.
The noise rose in waves, loud and overwhelming, echoing around the entrance of the hotel. The party was upstairs, yet it already felt as though the night had begun entirely because of her.
A soft, uncertain smile appeared on her lips as she gathered a little courage and took the first step onto the red carpet.
