Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Kindness

"Black Water Python! It's the Swamp Black Water Python!"

Heloise and Brook's dragon eyes sparkled, and they couldn't help drooling from the corners of their mouths, eager to pounce on the Black Dragon Maiden and start devouring it.

They were truly starving!

If the Black Dragon Maiden had delayed her hunting for a few more days, these two little ones might have had to start gnawing on dirt to survive.

Hmph!

The Black Dragon Maiden snorted coldly, looking quite displeased at the two large-headed dragonlings rushing toward her.

Heloise and Brook immediately snapped out of their ecstatic mood, sheepishly lowering their heads.

Leanna looked down at the three small dragons she had birthed, casting a glance of disdain at Heloise and Brook, but when her gaze fell on Udi, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes.

What a sturdy dragonling.

Only about forty days old, wasn't it? This body size is entirely comparable to that of a Red Dragon dragonling... Truly worthy of being the offspring of me, Leanna, the Queen of Darkness!

Leanna's gaze at Udi was filled with a hint of satisfaction.

With a thud, the large, long corpse of the Swamp Black Water Python dropped directly in front of Udi.

Afterward, Leanna folded her dragon wings, swaying her tail lazily as she headed toward the depths of the nest.

She had already eaten her fill outside. This time, she was quite fortunate in her hunting, encountering a male and a female adult Swamp Black Water Python.

Leanna devoured the stronger male python herself and then brought back the female.

The three dragons, Udi and siblings, should consider themselves lucky.

After all, the Black Dragon Maiden, despite her formidable strength, capable of easily killing Swamp Demon Sharks and Swamp Black Water Pythons, these intermediate demons,

At the intermediate tier and above, such demons are extremely cunning and their intelligence is not much inferior to that of ordinary humans.

Even adult black dragons cannot easily hunt such high-tier prey, let alone two at once.

The Black Dragon Maiden's figure disappeared at the entrance to the nest, leaving the three little dragons looking at each other.

The atmosphere gradually grew tense.

Udi ignored the fierce glares from his dragon brother and sister, leisurely stepping forward and plunging a dragon claw into the wound of the Swamp Black Water Python, then forcefully tearing off a piece of scaly, bloody flesh weighing dozens of kilograms and putting it into his mouth.

After chewing twice, Udi's dragon eyes lit up immediately.

Delicious! Chewy! The meat is rich and tender! The flesh and blood, constantly infused with magic power over the years, contained extremely rich energy.

A top-notch delicacy!

If this Swamp Black Water Python were used to complete the upcoming third banquet in twenty-one days, it would likely bring significant enhancement to Udi!

Twenty-one days... Udi ate while pondering the possibility of monopolizing the entire Black Water Python.

As Udi was deep in thought, two black shadows the size of fox terriers quietly approached him from the left and right, their eyes filled with malice.

Roar!

At a certain moment, feeling that Udi had lowered his guard, Brook and Heloise simultaneously launched their attack.

The two shadows, faster than a leopard, instantly closed in on Udi, their claws and headbutts about to strike the latter heavily in the blink of an eye!

Bang!

Slap!

Two successive sounds echoed at the entrance of the nest.

Accompanied by a clear sound were two black shadows flying backward.

Udi slowly lowered his tightly clutched left fist, and his vigorously swaying thick dragon tail gradually fell to the ground, motionless.

Then he continued to leisurely devour the chewy, fleshy meat in large bites.

He didn't cast a glance at Brook and Heloise lying on the ground moaning.

"Some people just don't learn."

Eating the energy-rich flesh, Udi pondered in his heart.

However, Udi also understood.

That's how evil dragons are.

If they could easily learn from past mistakes, they wouldn't have such a terrible reputation.

The dragon brother and sister, once again taught a lesson by their elder brother, were aggrieved enough to cry.

Ever since birth, they hadn't had a good day!

The two young dragons could only swallow their grievances and drool, gazing eagerly at the Black Water Python's corpse.

The Swamp Black Water Python was quite large; surely, Udi couldn't finish it all.

However, the most nutritious and finest parts would undoubtedly be consumed by Udi.

The reason why the two small dragons joined forces to ambush Udi was that they were vying for the most delicious and nutritious parts of the flesh, which would greatly contribute to their growth.

Heloise and Brook just watched Udi from afar as he consumed the food.

Udi first devoured the flesh of the snake's abdomen, then its organs, and finally, he slurped up its brain as if eating tofu pudding. After consuming all the most nutritious and finest parts of the Swamp Black Water Python, he finally let out a satisfied burp.

Udi glanced at the dragon brother and sister cowering in the corner, drooling and watching him eat, then looked at the remaining flesh of the Black Water Python and sighed.

Oh well, after all, he is the big brother.

Although there's hardly any affection among evil dragons, Udi had been human in his past life, so he clearly couldn't bring himself to do what is commonplace for true evil dragons.

Udi was sure that even if he monopolized this entire Swamp Black Water Python, the Black Dragon Maiden wouldn't have any objections.

As a top-tier magical creature, a dragon, standing at the top of the food chain, inherently grows following the law of the jungle, where the weak are meat for the strong to eat.

As long as there is no mutual killing leading to death, the Black Dragon Maiden usually doesn't intervene. Not only her, but other evil dragons, even the family-oriented and social-loving Blue Dragons, wouldn't concern themselves with such trifles.

Of course, the most important thing is that the remaining flesh of the Swamp Black Water Python clearly cannot satisfy Udi's third banquet process.

Plus, he was already full.

Leaving a trace behind, Udi leisurely walked further into the nest, lying down by the mud pool, closing his eyes, and falling into a slumber.

After such a nutritious feast, entering a deep sleep could better promote body development and growth.

And when Udi wakes up...

It would be the time he decides to venture out for hunting!

After Udi left the entrance, Heloise and Brook, in a posture akin to hungry dragons pouncing on food, rushed straight to the corpse of the Black Water Python. Not bothering with fighting, they greedily tore off pieces of flesh, gulping them down.

They feared that fighting would arouse Udi's displeasure, which might result in another lesson.

Primarily, both little dragons had seen the intent to monopolize the Black Water Python in Udi's eyes earlier.

Although they didn't know why he hadn't made up his mind in the end, both Heloise and Brook were very much afraid of Udi, the elder brother, suddenly changing his mind, hence they were voraciously devouring the meat now.

What goes into the stomach is truly one's own!

"But Udi has significantly improved his strength, and he eats a lot. If Mother doesn't hunt any demons in the future, what should we do?" The two young dragons felt a faint worry.

Unlike Udi, they weren't strong enough to dare venture out to hunt.

Black Dragon Hatchlings usually step out of the nest to start hunting about half a year after birth.

And even in that stage, they find it difficult to capture prey sufficient to satiate themselves, still relying on the prey hunted by the Black Dragon Maiden for supplement.
