Serena shook her head: "I grew up in a poor environment, it was Jasper Grant who saved me, sponsored my education, and brought me into the Grant Family. He was like a brother to me. Later, when I entered international high school, I met you. Back then, I was both insecure and arrogant, feeling inferior because of my background while refusing to accept my fate."
"I know the Shaw Family and the Grant Family don't get along, and I'm aware that Jasper is quite critical of you. But I naively thought I could balance family ties and love, believed you would trust that there's nothing romantic between Jasper and me, believed I could always make you happy."
