"Thank you." Serena took it, then looked up again at his injuries, feeling quite puzzled.
Jasper Grant was always composed, rarely ever resorting to violence, much less losing control on such an important occasion.
Just as she was about to ask, Jasper spoke first, "You've worked hard tonight. Go and grab some cake first, I'll handle things with Grandpa."
"Alright, I'll head down then." Serena didn't question further.
Jasper nodded, watching Serena walk away from him, and just as she was about to leave, he suddenly called out, "Serena!"
Upon hearing this, Serena turned back, "Hmm?"
As their eyes met, Jasper suppressed all sorts of emotions and advised as usual, "It's nothing. Remember, if you need anything, contact me anytime."
Serena replied, "Okay."
Jasper watched her tall, graceful figure, myriad emotions surging in his heart like a tide.
