The two stood facing each other, separated by a car's width.
The assistant already knew their relationship was unusual, and was quietly standing by the side, not daring to speak.
Damian Sinclair furrowed his handsome, sword-like eyebrows, took a few long strides to stand in front of Bella Acker, domineeringly grabbed her wrist, and began to walk her away.
"Damian Sinclair, I said it's not necessary." Bella Acker, lacking strength, couldn't break free and was forcibly dragged toward the hospital.
"You may not find it necessary," Damian said coldly. "But if something unexpected happens, won't I still be responsible for you?"
Bella Acker froze at his words, a pang hitting her heart. "Rest assured, President Sinclair, whatever happens to me, it has nothing to do with you."
"That's for the best." Damian spat out the words through clenched teeth, his eyes seething with a barely contained rage that seemed like it could incinerate Bella Acker in an instant.
