In The Azure Teahouse, Noah Raines and Nathaniel Shaw were already there, waiting for Leo Grant.
The Azure Teahouse is a high-end club, where the food is very delicious, although the prices are quite high.
Holly Sawyer timidly held Leo's hand, following closely beside him.
"The little girl came too."
Noah Raines wasn't surprised upon seeing Holly.
"Mrs. Hayes had some business and took leave, the little girl is afraid to be home alone."
Leo explained as he pulled out a chair for Holly.
"Noah said you picked up a little girl, I had some doubts but now I see it's true."
Nathaniel had been busy the past few days and hadn't kept in touch with Leo much, only heard bits and pieces; he thought it was just a rumor, but didn't expect it to be true.
Noah did mention it, but his stories are mix of truth and falsehood, Nathaniel didn't fully believe him.
Leo: "The little girl's quite shy."
Holly sat timidly on the chair, not daring to glance around.
"Do you want some orange juice?"
Nathaniel's nature is quite gentle, he placed a glass of orange juice in front of Holly.
He felt Holly looked familiar, but couldn't recall where he had seen her before.
"Thank you."
The little girl thanked him, her hands tightly gripping the glass, her gaze towards Nathaniel was cautious.
"Waiter, bring some desserts."
Leo instructed the waiter to serve some desserts, the little girl loved sweet things.
"Eat quietly, don't worry about anything else."
Leo arranged the desserts in front of Holly, speaking softly.
"Mhm mhm."
Holly nodded, behaving obediently.
"The mayor and the people from Arkenfall are colluding, but for now we can't find out who."
Noah said, the party was clearly orchestrated, aimed at Leo, thankfully Leo didn't attend, avoiding a disaster.
"I know, those people from Arkenfall are impatient to eliminate me."
Leo lowered his brows, his tone somewhat cold.
He didn't want the position of Family Head, so he came to Bexley for development, because the Grant Family has a rule that leaving the family for five years grants the right to give up inheritance.
"Let me see your phone," Nathaniel asked Leo for his phone, "there's no reason I couldn't reach you."
From seven to eight, during that hour, Leo's phone was unreachable.
"After I told Noah at five-thirty I wasn't going to the party, there were no calls until I received a call again at eight."
Leo found it strange as well, he genuinely hadn't received any calls.
He even checked his phone meticulously, no issues were found, his phone was always with him, it couldn't have been touched by anyone, and there were no traces.
It's not a bad thing, but it's very peculiar.
"Leo, I think someone is covertly helping you."
Nathaniel looked through the phone repeatedly, indeed finding no issues.
He returned the phone to Leo, speaking softly.
"I think so too, so many coincidences can't occur without intent."
Noah agreed with Nathaniel's words, if no one was deliberately aiding Leo, it would be impossible to have so many "accidents."
"Noah, you should investigate."
Leo rubbed his temples and said.
"I may not be skilled enough, finding nothing."
Noah shrugged and said, feeling rather helpless.
Ever since the first "accidental" fall of the man in black, he's tried to gather information, ending up with nothing even after many days.
Must be that person assisting Leo has significant power, only it's unclear why they'd help Leo.
"Forget it, let's eat, it's been ages since the three of us had a little gathering."
Nathaniel waved his hand and said, their capabilities are decent, so even a small error might mean the person is even stronger than them.
The surveillance videos were processed flawlessly, no signs it had been tampered with, though the three of them knew it had.
The dishes were served promptly, and the three chatted while eating.
Holly kept eating quietly, not speaking out, her eyes shifting while almost buried in the bowl.
Yes, Leo and the others weren't foolish, naturally guessed these incidents weren't accidents, realized someone was aiding them.
Yet she handled it very well.
"Brother, I want ice cream."
After a long pause, Holly tugged on Leo's clothes, eyes fixated on a small boy at the next table holding ice cream.
She licked her lips, her gaze towards Leo filled with anticipation, seeming very eager for ice cream.
"Alright, brother will get it for you."
The Azure Teahouse doesn't sell ice cream, but there's an ice cream shop next door, Leo planned to go out and buy Holly some ice cream.
"Little girl, you look familiar."
As soon as Leo left, Nathaniel spoke, looking at Holly.
He truly felt Holly looked familiar, but couldn't recall where he'd seen her.
"Do you know me?"
Holly blinked and pointed at herself, full of confusion.
"Familiar? Nathaniel, might you have seen this little girl before? She's lost her memory, if you remember, perhaps you could help her go home."
Noah's eyes lit up instantly, he spoke.
The little girl had lost her memory, uncertain if her name was genuine, and after helping investigate, no information about the little girl was found.
Nathaniel originally wanted to ask more, but after hearing Noah, he refrained.
"Here you go, ice cream."
Leo bought the ice cream, handing it to Holly.
"Thank you, brother."
Holly's eyes squinted into a line, speaking sweetly, her smile equally sweet.
The little girl enjoyed the ice cream satisfyingly, resembling a little glutton.
"Leo, where did this little girl come from?"
Nathaniel glanced at Holly, then at Leo, asking.
He felt Holly looked familiar but was certain he hadn't seen her in Bexley.
"Fainted in front of my car, lost memory, so she stayed with me."
Leo said, the little girl was so innocent, keeping her around was fine.
"Mhm."
Nathaniel nodded, not commenting further.
Judging by the little girl's appearance, she seemed naïve, probably not a spy or anything.
"Be cautious these days, strengthen security around the villa, and stay vigilant."
Nathaniel said, the three of them had grown up together, after Leo left Arkenfall, both he and Noah followed.
The situation with the Grant Family, both Noah and Nathaniel were aware of and thought Leo was quite challenged.
"Yes, I will."
Leo nodded, it was a given.
