Reaper: A spiritual entity that is tasked with collecting the souls of the dead and guiding them to the afterlife. Reapers are unable to interact with the physical world.
Proxy: A person who has a contract with a Reaper. They gain a portion of power based on the influence that the associated Reaper has over a Domain. Their main job is to subdue Wraiths, and send their soul to the afterlife.
Domain or Domain of Death: The souls collected can put a Reaper in a certain Domain. For example, if a Reaper collects a lot of souls who've drowned, they're in the Drowned Domain.
Wraith: A physical monster born from the twisted regrets, fears, and desires of a person after their death. If a Reaper does not collect a soul quick enough, the soul will manifest into a Wraith. Wraiths are able to physically interact with the world.
Mortis: A signature piece of equipment that's given to a Proxy by their Reaper, used to help them fight Wraiths.
