A Marvelous Devil.
Chapter 26: Checkmate, Leviathan.
The Underworld.
Serafall Leviathan.
Some hours ago.
Serafall glared at the idiot in front of her, the frost around her body growing larger and larger. She was biting her fingernails, ignoring everything but Ajuka as she tried to laser a hole through the spell holding her in place.
And maybe Ajuka too.
But despite showing more anger than what she felt through the Civil War… the only thing she got was a damn unimpressed stare.
It wasn't often she felt jealous about Sirzechs and Ajuka's strength, but this time showed her that she had been foolish.
She should have trained harder, if only to save the adorable So-tan from that brat's paws.
"Ajuka, drop the spell!" Serafall almost shrieked, "I need to save So-tan! You didn't tell me she had a date with that beast today! You told me only to come to grab his evil pieces!"
Ajuka sighed, "Serafall, do you think I spy on the phones of every young devil? Even if they are interesting?"
"You do," Serafall replied without thinking, staring blankly at the green-haired Satan.
"I do," he snorted, "but that's not important. I can't allow you to mess this up, so you're staying here until you calm down. It's only a date, and your sister is already an adult."
"She's mine," Serafall pouted, "I can't just stay and watch! I don't want to be a damn NTR protagonist, let me go!"
The look of pure disgust on Ajuka's face was worth it, but as much as she'd like to say she was only joking, a small part of her felt something stir inside her body. Something was very, very wrong, as alarms didn't stop blaring inside her head.
Nonononono, this couldn't be happening.
"Please shut up, Serafall," Ajuka groaned deeply, looking blankly at her. Then Ajuka cut the feed from one of his drones following Dante since today started.
The fact that he wasn't using magic because he believed Dante would realize they were spying on him said something Serafall didn't want to admit.
Ajuka must have suspicions and wasn't telling them. The brat must be more dangerous than what she gave him credit for.
"Anyways, we have better things to do than spy on your sister's first date," he rolled his eyes and motioned towards the table where he placed a crystaline box.
The villain's evil pieces, and now that Serafall focused on them, she couldn't help but feel like she was dooming the whole underworld if she went through the plan.
She couldn't allow such a fiend to get even more powerful. Serafall still remembered when he was promoted to middle class, and she knew it had happened only because of his clan trait, not his strength.
Less than a year had passed, and he was already showing signs of things that shouldn't be possible.
"What if he's a spy from the Old Satan faction?" Serafall tried one last time.
Ajuka deadpanned, "Take the damn pieces and get him to contact us, or I'll do it myself, Serafall. I'm close to posting the memories myself just to get this over with."
Despite wanting to protest even more, Serafall took a deep breath. "Remind me again what you want from this meeting, smelly Ajuka."
Ajuka took a deep breath, then he nodded tiredly. And Serafall did her best to listen despite the gnawing feeling growing in her heart.
Back to the present.
Dante Andromalius.
As amusing as it was seeing the diminutive Satan fuming at me, I was a bit upset at the interruption.
Mostly because of Sona, because the cute devil was tense under the wide eyes of her big sister.
She'd been so bold just moments ago and ready to go even further. Now, her need of control wanted to claw its way back.
I couldn't allow that.
The only good thing out of this was that, despite the huge amount of hostility I could sense coming out of Serafall, there was also a good amount of restraint and resignation.
And… was that? Oh, how hilarious.
I put my hand on Sona's shoulder as she fixed her bunched-up dress and her glasses, looking adorable with an atomic blush on her face as she looked between her sister and me.
Before things could go wrong, I let a portion of my power spread through the park to hide the obvious signs that something was happening inside. As long as no one who was much stronger than the current me focused deeply, no one should notice the mess the park had become after the Leviathan's entrance. At least until we were gone.
Then I sent a confident nod to Sona before pulling her closer to me.
Serafall's eyes narrowed, but I kept my smile in place.
Sona looked worried when her sister did that.
I, for one, found it amusing.
Poor devil, she was too young to think she could scare me. Beating her in a straight fight would be almost impossible unless I sucked her into the Dark Dimension, but I could run away easily if I needed to. And if things had worked as expected, they wanted me too much for her to attack me.
And that wasn't mentioning the last feeling I sensed pouring off her.
"So-tan… you don't have to let this… fiend push you around. Come here, big sis will save you from his claws." Serafall's voice almost cracked. Her magic flared for a moment, but my instinct told me she wasn't intending to attack.
Let's see how she dealt with this.
"Lady Serafall, a pleasure," I nodded calmly, "but I can't say I expected our first meeting to be like this."
I was talking out of my ass, mostly to give poor Sona some time to calm down.
Which… wasn't working as much as I had hoped.
Well, there was a way to make her focus on something else.
Slowly but surely, my hand on her shoulder lowered, caressing her naked shoulders, then her back, then stopping at her hips.
Then I pinched her gently.
Sona squeaked with a horrified look, the adorable devil opening and closing her mouth, even as no words left it. She then glared at me heatedly, but not exactly angrily.
Oh, no matter how much she tried to hide it, I could see how much my teasing affected her. But I wasn't doing it only for fun, because now, Sona was focusing on something else apart from her embarrassment.
The panic retreated almost instantly as Sona's body relaxed, even allowing some of her weight to fall on my side.
I nodded at the bespectacled devil, showing that everything was alright. We weren't doing something wrong, and Sona was her own person. She could do whatever she wanted.
She could enjoy her life.
Sona gulped nervously before returning my nod.
"Did you need something from us?" I continued as if I wasn't sucking the soul out of her sister's mouth not even five minutes ago.
And Serafall looked like she didn't know how to respond.
Her shoulders trembled in barely concealed rage even as her true feelings showed curiosity, but then she surprised me by taking a deep breath.
Seeing that Serafall didn't say anything, Sona opened her mouth.
"Sister, what are you doing here?" she asked, staying close to me. She wasn't backing down from her sister's presence.
Good girl. I liked it when my girls had some backbone.
I knew my interest in Sona was not unfounded.
"The So force was acting up, and I knew something was wrong!" Serafall replied, hiding the hysterics I could sense behind a peppy facade.
I glanced at Sona in confusion, raising an eyebrow that made her own twitch in irritation.
"Serafall believes she loves me so much that she can feel when something is going on around me," Sona said flatly.
That… did it work like that? Was it possible? It certainly wouldn't be the strangest thing I had seen.
Serafall was nodding profusely at Sona's words, as if she had explained everything.
"Okay," I nodded, acting as if I truly understood what was going on.
"I still think she has some surveillance spells in me, but I was never capable of finding them."
The almost dead tone Sona used made me laugh.
It was also interesting that Serafall was not acting up, apart from her glare. And while it didn't come up as fake to my senses, she was still using the time to analyze me as much as she could.
Her eyes roamed through my body, watching with a critical eye as well as where I was still connected with Sona.
Her eyes stopped almost imperceptibly at Sona's posture and her closeness to me.
Her feelings turned chaotic for a moment, but then they muted as the last one grew.
"Would you want me to make sure of that, dear?" I asked, locking eyes with Sona, who shivered for a moment from the intensity of my gaze.
I wanted to continue kissing her, but Serafall ruined the moment. It was going to be hard for Sona to initiate things in front of Serafall. But I always liked a little challenge.
Sona hesitated for a moment, her eyes turning to Serafall, who pouted at her sister's doubtful stare, then Sona nodded.
The demonic brand on my arm flared red for a moment, and I observed the movement of demonic power in the area.
Focusing on Sona's figure, I tilted my head.
Nothing out of order.
Then I used my eyes and experience to see if anything magical was around her, even looking into her soul, because I was curious.
And there was nothing.
Okay… Serafall was starting to scare me.
"When did you sense something was wrong, Lady Leviathan?" I asked curiously at the Satan who had the widest smirk on her face as she puffed up her chest.
I did my best to ignore the way they jumped, because I could smell Sona's inferiority complex from a mile away. There was probably no better way of ruining things for my date than to focus too much on Serafall.
I needed to play this slowly. I almost laughed at how greedy I had turned by becoming a mortal.
Serafall touched her lower lip with her finger for a moment, "Six minutes and thirty-seven seconds ago," she said excitedly.
I… what the fuck. Revising my memories, that was the exact moment Sona and I started kissing.
"You're clean, Sona…" My lips twitched as I admitted this bullshit that somehow worked, "Your sister was telling the truth."
"See! See!" Serafall bounced excitedly, "I told you Levi-tan love for So-tan transcends everything! And you!" she pointed at me.
"Yes?" I grinned, pulling Sona closer. Sona made a cute sound but put her hand around my arm as she hugged me.
Sona's breath hitched as my hand traced her lower back, but I only had an innocent expression on my face as I looked at Serafall knowingly.
Serafall's eyes flashed for a moment before she took a deep breath.
She must have understood what I meant from my knowing gaze, because she froze for a second.
Okay… she was even worse than I expected. How amusing, but it gave me an in with the Satan if I played my hand right.
Serafall acted oblivious for a moment, but she couldn't hide her turbulent feelings from me. Anger, sadness, jealousy.
I nodded with a tiny smirk that Sona couldn't see.
"You have our attention," Serafall said after a moment of silence, "We're interested in what you have to offer. But we have questions…"
"A lot of questions," she grunted, "But you did it for a reason, and we think we can work something out between us. You also passed the exam, and I have your evil pieces with me."
Sona craned her head to look at me, a question in her eyes.
I kissed her cheek in front of Serafall, much to her embarrassment.
"I hoped it would," I replied to the Satan. "And I'm glad it did, Lady Leviathan."
I closed my eyes for a moment, checking my inventory.
I still had more than enough, and truthfully, the faster I could settle this, the faster I would prepare everything for my plans.
"Did the Beelzebub study it?" I asked curiously.
Serafall's lips twitched in barely concealed amusement before she shook her head, "he finished his before he even realized it. Aren't you nervous he'll replicate it?"
I burst out laughing at that, "As much as I have a high opinion of him, he'd genuinely surprise me if he can manage that. If he did, he's wasting his time as a Satan."
Sona and Serafall had matching expressions of shock and doubt, but I just snorted at the thought.
I wasn't even lying, nor was I being obtuse to make me look better.
If Ajuka Beelzebub truly managed to make something that resembled Tandy's power, I would do my damned best to get him under my thumb as soon as I was capable of.
Seeing Sona's incredulous expression, I pulled out a bag of leaves from the storage, along with three containers of tea.
Still hot, even if I made them before I came back to this world.
Throwing Serafall the bag of leaves, I opened one before dropping the liquid to the ground.
The fog of the Dark Force sprang out violently as it consumed it before it even reached the ground.
Greedy fuck.
Serafall had a horrified look as she saw me 'waste' the drink, but what she didn't know was that the dark force would probably attack me instead if I didn't give it before the 'rabble'. Everyone but Tandy and I was rabble to its eyes.
It was cute.
Then, I gave Sona the second container, which she opened hesitantly and drank a sip without hesitation.
Oh… she trusted me. How precious.
Smiling, I watched as Sona drank the liquid until not a single drop remained, moaning in appreciation as she felt the pure lifeforce enter her body.
Serafall bit her lip at the sound, and it was gone almost too fast.
It was noticeable how energy revitalized her body, almost making her shiver for a moment before she controlled herself, even as her eyes grew wide and wild.
Then her eyes locked with the last container.
"Let's not be hasty here." Serafall looked as if she had teleported, with how quickly she moved to stand next to Sona and me.
Her hand was raised, looking between Sona's hunter-like gaze and the container.
"Are you here as a Satan or as a big sister?" Sona looked at Serafall flatly.
Serafall hesitated for a long moment… too long for the now greedy Sona, who took the container before Serafall could say anything.
Then it disappeared as her necklace shone bright.
Then, surprising me, Sona kissed me on the lips next to her sister.
Hm... berries and the tea leaves tasted even better. I'd have to add that to my cafe.
Her lips curved into a smile as her tongue came out of her body and asked for an entrance I so gracefully created.
It was as if time had stopped, and I didn't know how long Sona spent searching for every millimeter of my mouth.
Then she separated and panted for breath.
Two tiny nubs showed through her sundress as Sona pressed her body against my chest.
"Thank you," she murmured, not breaking her sight with my eyes, "Today was something else."
My hands dropped a tiny bit, just above her ass, "Enough for a second date?" I kissed her gently.
Sona's hands reached my ass and squeezed with a growing smirk and a heated glance. That was the wild look I had seen last time.
"Can I expect something similar?" she asked breathily.
I smirked. I knew she had a fire deep inside of her, one I loved to bring to the open.
A strangled sound escaped Serafall's throat. One low enough that I doubted Sona heard it.
When I glanced at her, she was staring at Sona's hands with an expression somewhere between anguish and hunger before she caught herself and looked away.
Sona completely ignored Serafall, focusing solely on me as I cupped her backside and lifted her.
It wasn't as big as most devils', but it was firm. And soft.
Sona's legs tightened around me as I gave her a brief kiss.
I didn't mention the way Serafall's magic stuttered for a moment, nor how her eyes followed my hands. Or better said, what they were grabbing. Nor the way she bit her lip at Sona's reactions.
I was a gentleman enough not to show her I noticed, and she caught herself doing it before looking away.
Then looked down again. Oh, she was hilarious.
"Lady Leviathan, I suppose we have much to talk about," I didn't bother looking at her, just watching the devil in my arms fuck me with her eyes as the Satan went ignored.
Sona was enjoying seeing Serafall so lost for words. And from what I heard from her heartfelt talk, I doubted she had seen anything like that since she was born.
"But I am a devil of my word, and I had promised Sona a date she would remember," I whispered, "What do you think if we leave our conversation for after I drop Sona off? I think your sister deserves the best, wouldn't you agree? You know where I live."
And without listening to her answer, the Dark Force swallowed us both.
Later, Sitri Mansion.
Sona and I appeared in the yard I remembered from my last time here. The guards patrolled the area, but no one noticed our presence.
Gently, I lowered Sona, whose breathing was in disarray.
"I can't believe we just did that," she panted almost hysterically, looking like she was laughing and grimacing at the same time.
"How did it feel, my dear?" I helped her up, pulling her towards my embrace as I murmured to her ear, "To finally… let go."
Sona's full body shivered for a moment.
"It was… I can't even start to explain it," she shook her head with a wide smile. "Thank you, Dante. It was the best date I could ever ask for."
Then she burst out laughing, "Did you see Serafall?! I had never seen her this dumbstruck in my life!"
Sona then turned worried, "Oh, Lucifer, what did we just do?!"
"What do you mean?" I brushed my thumb along her cheek.
"Dante, you just ignored a Satan!" Sona almost shrieked, "Oh no, I let myself get lost in the moment."
"Heyheyheyhey," I said softly, "Breath, Sona, breath."
"Everything is fine, calm down."
"It's not fine!" Sona said, "Everyone knows how my sister acts when I'm concerned. You could get in trouble for this. It's my fault."
Her eyes looked bigger under her glasses, tilting her head up since she was so much shorter than I was.
"Did you enjoy it? Did it feel good?" I asked, caressing her cheek.
Sona nodded hesitantly, "I never felt as good as then."
"Then it was all worth it," I kissed the tip of her nose, earning a soft sound of contentment.
"Why are you so damn complicated?" she huffed, but warmth didn't disappear from her eyes. "You always tease me, push my buttons knowingly, and I keep coming back."
"Because you enjoy my attention, my dear," I grinned, "The way I focus on you, the way I can make you feel not in control after the act you keep every day, because I make you be the real you."
Sona squinted her eyes, "You're a jerk. I still can't believe you made me do that."
"Made you?" I laughed, "My dear, it was all you. All those repressed feelings? They just exploded."
She smacked my arm with a blush, then hugged me tighter.
"Thank you, Dante. I had fun." Sona's expression softened, "Are you sure you'll be fine? I'm more than happy to accompany you in your talk with sis… maybe stop her from freezing you on the spot."
"How cute, thank you, Sona," I chuckled, "but I have a plan."
She looked dubious and hesitant at that, but I just tapped her ass with a smirk.
"I feel like you'll need some time to come to terms with what happened on our date," I said softly, then added with a smirk, "even if I know you'll want a repeat."
She rolled her eyes but stayed silent.
"That being said, I shouldn't leave your sister waiting. Even now, she's pacing outside my house, and I don't want her to bother Celestine. So… what do you think if I visit you at your school after I'm free? Then I can fulfill our deal, as well as meet the rest of your peerage."
Sona's face turned horrified at that, and I laughed, understanding that she feared the teasing she would receive from our relationship.
But then her feelings calmed down, and a firm look appeared in her eyes.
"When you have what you promised me, go and look for me," her glasses glinted under the moonlight, "And tonight will look tame after I'm done with you."
My eyes widened minutely in surprise before I grinned. She was so damn fun.
"It's a deal," I kissed her one last time.
Then the dark force enveloped my body, and I was gone once more.
It had been… nice, and fun. More than I had expected at first.
And it left me… excited. So much that I wondered if I should use my power to calm down my boner.
I couldn't help but smirk when I saw Serafall still pacing outside my house.
So, I didn't bother, just… fixing so that it wouldn't be that noticeable while making sure Serafall would absolutely notice.
And it worked. Serafall's eyes dropped for a moment as the jealousy and anger grew, as well as the arousal.
Not at me, but at the situation.
She looked back at me with an icy expression, staying silent as I motioned for her to follow me.
The walk inside the house was tense, but everyone ignored our presence as I opened the door and walked past the guards.
Inside, everything was dark as I led us towards the room, and my mother was already asleep in hers.
The demonic power inside Serafall roared to come out, but she kept it on a leash.
She was damn good at that. She had better control than many of my brethren. I wondered how much more I should push her.
As we entered the room, Serafall looked at me with murder in her eyes, but still didn't say anything.
Still, I just walked towards the end of my bedroom and tapped my foot on the ground as the secret room opened wide.
Serafall followed me with the confidence only the truly strong had.
As the floor closed behind us, I barely had enough time to turn around before Serafall poked my chest.
"Did you have fun?" She asked icily, then poked me again, stronger this time.
I kept my power in control under the onslaught of pokes, each one stronger than the last as she forced me all the way to the wall.
"I will kill you if you harm a single hair on Sona's body, do you understand?" She said, deadly serious.
But I? I just smiled.
"What did it feel, Lady Leviathan?" I asked slowly, "To see Sona make those faces? To see her finally letting go?"
Serafall didn't respond, her finger still against my chest.
And so was she.
The temperature dropped so fast I could see my breath.
Then a spear of ice materialized an inch from my eye, close enough that I could see my reflection in its surface… and the flustered murderous intent behind Serafall's eyes.
I didn't flinch, and the reflection of the spear showed a fanged grin growing on my lips.
"There it is," I said softly. "The Leviathan that decimated her enemies during the Civil War, the strongest female devil in the underworld. But… you're not going to use it, are you?"
The spear began growing cracks with how hard Serafall gripped it. Ice crawling from ground to the walls at a glacial pace.
"Because if you kill me, you lose your only chance at what you really want."
