Seeing this, Noire immediately sense his excitement and the smile in her face faded.
"Wh-what skill did you unlock to smile like that?!" Noire pointed her katana at him.
"Huh? Give me a reason for me to tell you. But anyways, you'll soon discover it." Xavier didn't gave the answer but smirk more instead, clearly mocking his best friend up.
"Tsk, fair enough... You'll soon discover mine too." Noire made a smile before turning towards the emergency exit door where the goblins fled as Xavier turned opposite, forward to the lecture hall they're at earlier.
I don't think I have the current power to defeat that axe wielding goblin... And neither I sense with Noire.
And I can't even pick an equipment as a level up reward...

Unlike Noire's choices, Xavier had a completely different one but the latter didn't know this for now, at least.

"That's right, I only had one passive, that means that only will be upgraded." Xavier turned to Noire, the latter had an intention of challenging the goblin warrior at the lecture hall.
"Hmm? I didn't expect you to have intention on killing that thing... Tell me, your new skill is useful too, right?"
"Whatever, I'll not risk my life to that greeny bulk. Let's not leave this place for now... How about going up to see what happens to the district?" Noire proposed as she sheated the katana back to her left hips.
They had the same motive, to level up. Thus, both decided to climb towards the rooftop while hunt on their way.
"By the way, is that katana had special effects?"
"Hmm, it allows me to be more quicker, I guess. Anyway, why didn't you chose a item reward card. Based on my knowledge, you should had chosen it, unless you're desperate for stats like strength?"
Xavier frowned, "What? I don't have that choice... Wait, what are your choices? Mine is Physical, Spiritual, Skill upgrade, and Conversation."
"Huh, mine is completely different from your first two, I had strength, speed, stamina, endurance, magic, and mana." Noire frowned from the confusion too.
"Then that means my system is different from yours... Maybe other classes had their respective special class... What are the color of your window, mine is white." Xavier started walking towards the emergency exit door, Noire neutrally follows him while replying.
"Uhh, dark red."
"Heh, then your class are either dark mage, blood mage, ritualist, warlock, or vampire. Right?"
"It's the last, same to you, I think your class might be something like LuckyOne, Chosen One, Hourder, or Main Character." At the end of her sentence, Noire spit a laugh.
"Neither you rascal, I'm classless, just you know that."
"Oh? Then your's are silver bordered too?"
"Yeah, I guess the same for you... Tsk, enough talk, let's farm experience."
As they left the current floor and entered the floor above it, they immediately discovered a horde of goblins numbering atleast 15 of them.
Noire didn't draw her katana, instead lent it to Xavier as she placed her hand infront of her into a clasped state. From there, a blood slowly appeared inside and quickly circled their way at the clasped hand.
"Take care of the rest after this..."
From the circling crimson blood, they formed a pencil sized needles with sharp end.
One... Three... Seven...
Noire was able to conjure 10 blood needles that immediately flew in the air giving no time for the goblins that either running towards them or shrieking them up to dodge on time or react.
"Crimson Needles!"
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
From the 10 blood needles also killed 10 goblins. But it had a visible tall on Noire's side as she seems to be exhausted from the cast.
"You're naming is really fun." Xavier laughed lightly as he draw the sharp blade from the black sheath. By this time, the surviving goblins are either about to run away or was scared to death that they lose their balance and fell to their knees.
What Noire targeted is the rear goblins with precise shooting, leaving the most near goblins to not have time to react as Xavier dashed and sliced his way through the group of surviving goblins.
By the time the first goblin slumped to the ground dead, the last goblin at the rear was sliced to death by Xavier.
"Whoo, I had never fun slicing someone until now... I'm displeased that I only cut down dummies in the past." Xavier didn't sheated the blade back but cleaned it with a nearby corpse's clothes before drawing back.
By this time, Noire was already at her side and noticed the satisfaction in his face.
"Give that back, my mana is exhausted that I need to use Kendo to defend myself... Come on, give it here!"
With a displeased look, Xavier had no choice to give it back to Noire and stay with the crude daggers on his hand.
By this time, both of them leveled up.
At Noire's perspective, she leveled up until level 3 with 25/67 experience bar at her hands. Choosing the both of the level up rewards to level her current skill, Blood Conjuring to level 3. Decreasing the amount of mana used, the distance of conjuring and the amount of blood that can be used.
"My blood is not like mana that can regenerate normally, that means I needed to rely on this sword than the skill... I will only use it at the right time." Noire informed Xavier.
The latter on the other hand, with double experience gain, also leveled up until level 3 with 30/67 experience bar at hand.
He just just turned down the offer of Noire to use her level up reward for a random class item but thinking that it might only benefit her class the most and Xavier wanted for Noire to grow as fast as him.
He leveled his current skill, Double Experience to level 4, giving it a 2.3 experience boost.
Xavier didn't collect the daggers of the goblins but found a completely mess up corpse of a young man, he had a silver sword at his hand before he died from the blows of the goblin group earlier.
"Are you recovered, Noire?" Xavier grabbed the silver sword and even smeared it's blood at it's former user's clothes.
Aside from the sword of the young man, there are no worth item in the current hallway.
"Quite, let's explore here first and might as well farm experience along the way here." Noire tucked the black sheated katana at her hips again as he follows Xavier towards a room.
They're at the second floor earlier that contained mostly of lecture halls, spanning over a court wide with 10 of them in the 2nd floor. The current floor they're in is the same, consisted of lecture halls but the half side is more on library and medical rooms.
From the hallway, the two didn't find anymore goblins nor any monsters and decided to search a room and that's their current situation.
Xavier opened the first room before the emergency exit, it was a medical room and to their surprise, there is actually surviving humans here that either hiding in a corner of tending their wounds.
Survivors... Too bad I can't rob them as they also have some unique class, skills and weapons... That is what Noire is thinking too.* Xavier turned to the side and saw the smile in Noire's face.
"Hey..." Xavier immediately grabbed her arms and brought her out of the room.
"You're not thinking of engaging with them, right?" Xavier frowned while whispering.
"Ugh, get of me." Noire brushed her best friend's hand away from her arm, even patting it like someone just smeared a dirt at her.
"I just thought about it, we have clearly the upper hand being level 3 and 2, we can atleast knock them out and rob their possession."
"There are many variables that might contradict to your plan, think of it." Xavier shared his opinion and also hides the fact that he was also level 3.
Hmm...
"Right, forgive this cutie for being ahead of herself and overestimating her new found powers." Noire gave a slight smile before going back inside the medical room.
Sigh, I too overestimated my powers and almost done the thought as her.* Xavier followed her inside.
There are not so many people here, just a few numbering 5, excluding the two and the latter immediately noticed one person among them.
With the same thoughts, they akin to a twin sharing the same mind.
