Chapter 33 - No~

Silent for a few seconds.

No one immediately responded to the words thrown by that kid from yesterday afternoon.

Until finally,

*Pffft. Someone was holding back laughter from the people in front of Guiver.

"Hfafafafah!"

The laughter was strange, and he had been silent the whole time because he didn't want to disturb the other conversations.

"That kid is really cocky!" said the man who looked older than most of the others.

His shoulders were slightly slumped, but his body didn't look like that of a sickly person at all.

"You may have a Berserker and Re-Ex or whatever that is, but are you sure you want to fight with just those small fries!?"

"Even the strong one on your side is only a vice commander—"

"So damn noisy, Mister slouched shoulders." Guiver sneered, quickly cutting off the man's words.

"Judging from your looks, you're an 'Scientist,' right?"

"From the way you speak, your hypothesis turns into conclusions way too fast."

"Usually people like that…"

Smiling, that smile clearly wasn't liked by the man.

*Kh...

"Are the ones who die the fastest."

"Hfah?!" The man was filled with shock.

The tone was full of contempt, making the man fall completely silent.

Guiver straightened his body again, lifting his shoulders.

"Why are you staying quiet?.."

"Isn't it supposed to be long when scientists argue?.. Or are you,"

Grinning, "Admitting that I'm right?"

The air felt heavy again. Not a single reply was heard.

To Guiver's left, someone spoke softly as if murmuring.

"Your words really cut deep, kid." What was heard was the voice of a middle-aged woman.

Guiver glanced slightly. "Be quiet, Nine."

His gaze immediately shifted to the right. "They say you're a former vice commander, Cyrn."

"Are they all higher-ups of Quiet Guardian?"

"Yeah, something like that..." Cyrn replied briefly.

That made Guiver confused. "You're not hiding it?"

"Then why did you leave those bastards anyway?"

The corner of Cyrn's lips lifted. "Humanity.. maybe?"

"Becoming a puppet with no will like them.. that's the dumbest way to live."

Guiver slightly narrowed his eyes, that sharp gaze directed at Cyrn on his right.

"What's his real goal?" he thought. "But yeah.." looking at the people in front of him.

"He and his organization are very useful as tools."

"You sure talk a lot now, Cyrn." Said the supreme commander of Quiet Guardian.

That heavy tone felt like the area itself was trying to hold the air from passing through.

With an arrogant stare, he added.

"Back then you were like a dog that obeyed without making a sound."

"That's why the codename Nosay was given to you."

Cyrn raised the right corner of his lips. "Is that so?"

Returning the insult with a smile and closed eyes.

"Then what about your codename, 'Nolaw'?"

Slowly opening, those pitch-black eyes were filled with extremely deep contempt.

"Don't you have any 'Law' in your life?"

"Or is it because you're 'Nolaw' that you're free to be a puppet?"

The air grew even thicker.

"What are they babbling about, Guiver?" Reigh asked in confusion.

"No idea." Not without reason, he was also confused about what the two of them were babbling about.

"Do their codenames start with 'No'?" Guiver thought.

"Earlier Cyrn said Nolie, then he was called Nosay, and this commander is called Nolaw..."

"Does that refer to some kind of world system?.."

"And that Nolie..." His eyes seriously looked toward Gyu. "She can get any information just by putting her hand on someone's eyes..."

"Hah?!—" His thoughts immediately stopped when he realized Cyrn slightly glanced at him while smiling faintly.

"He leaked it on purpose...!?"

A question from the commander was heard while Guiver was still questioning things in his head, "Was that kid your doing?"

"No." Cyrn answered calmly, shrugging his shoulders. "I only facilitated what he needed."

"HM..."

Guiver didn't care about their chatter. Instead, he got interested in something and started asking Nine beside him.

"Hey, from what I heard, isn't that loli Nolie able to see a target's information?"

"Wouldn't the plan we prepared all this time get leaked?"

Nine glanced back. "You don't know Cyrn's ability yet, huh?"

Guiver was slightly confused.

"His ability is—"

"That damn brat..." A mutter that could be clearly heard came from the ranks of Quiet Guardian's higher-ups. "Why doesn't he show us any respect at all?!"

"What is it, Mister slouched shoulders?" Guiver replied quietly, glancing at him a bit.

"I can't stand it anymore, I want to wipe them out, Commander!"

"Let me do it!"

The commander remained silent, not responding.

"Oh my~ looks like your real dog is starting to bark, huh?" Cyrn mocked.

"SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU WILL DIE BY MY HAND!"

"How funny."

"Especially you, you damn Cyrn!"

With his hand raised, suddenly both of his hands started turning black.

Producing a lot of mist around his hands,

"What is that, Guiver?" Reigh asked. "Dark element like before?"

"Don't know, but it looks different."

"Why are they just staying quiet?!" That was what Guiver was asking in his mind when he saw the Grey Lurk higher-ups instead looking relaxed.

"Should I—"

"DIE, ALL OF YOU!!!"

Quickly looking at the man who shouted loudly.

That black mist suddenly multiplied.

"Enoz Efason!"

In an instant,

"Hah?!"

The mist moved,

"Why did it come straight here?!"

Surrounding all of them.

"HFAFAFAFAH!

"Just breathing it in a little will instantly—"

"Get your toy away," Cyrn said flatly with bored eyes.

"Nosef.."

*Bush!

In just an instant, the mist completely disappeared.

"Hfah?!"

Nine opened her mouth again. "His ability is Space."

"Space?" Guiver's eyes began to narrow. "Space?.." Slowly looking at Cyrn's faint smile.

"Did 12 years of separation really make you all forget who I am?.." Cyrn said calmly.

"Try to remember again—"

"Annoying." The Quiet Guardian commander snorted. "Your way of insulting is really irritating."

"How about this." His right hand lifted, index finger pointing straight at Cyrn.

"Nullaw."

*Zrrrt. In front of his fingertip, a black circle appeared, constantly buzzing loudly.

That circle had a radius of 30 meters.

*Whosh. It shot rapidly toward them.

Extremely fast.

In less than 1 second, it had already arrived right in front of Guiver and the Grey Lurk higher-ups.

"Isdea." Cyrn said softly, before the circle hit them all.

Right at that moment, a white circle that softly buzzed *Dzzzt began to appear right in front of the black circle.

With the same size, *Wsh. Both circles disappeared without a trace.

"Wow." Guiver reflexively said that. He was truly amazed by what he saw.

Not without reason, because this was the first time he had seen people equally strong releasing their powers against each other.

"Space and..." Looking at the commander, "What kind of magic was that just now?..." he thought. "Was that the dark element?"

Suddenly, the corner of his lips lifted. "Seems like it needs to be tested."

Guiver immediately raised his right hand, the people beside him watching his actions.

He pointed his index finger, closed his left eye, and started aiming. "Pew."

*Swosh. A spiral wind shot forward, heading toward the commander.

Seeing something coming at him fast, the man didn't move at all.

Because, *Dsssh. The tip of the spiral wind slowly disappeared before reaching him.

Not enough, "Pew," "Pew" Guiver fired again, launching 11 spiral winds.

*Woshhhh. Those many spiral winds shot forward again. This time heading toward all 11 of them.

*Dsssh.

Once again, the spiral winds vanished from the tip.

"So it really is Dark element.." Guiver muttered in his mind.

"It was the same before when using Oinull."

That commander didn't consider Guiver as an equal at all.

He even erased Guiver's attacks without saying a single word.

In contrast, one of his subordinates, that flirtatious woman, began sneering with her teasing tone.

"So that's how he uses wind magic?~" she asked Gyu.

Gyu nodded slowly. "Yeah."

"His actual level is really low, even lower than our low-class soldiers, but..."

Trying to guess what was happening, "His mastery of magic is completely different."

Inside his body, Reigh was starting to get impatient.

"My turn already! I wanna introduce myself!"

"Not yet, we need to build an image as geniuses first." Guiver replied sharply.

"Hah?!"

Their conversation was immediately cut off by the calm-looking man's voice.

With a flat tone, he began to ask, "What was your purpose in sending the letter 'The Judge Will Come,' kid?"

Guiver immediately turned toward him, smiling faintly. "I've been here this whole time and only now you ask that!?"

"But fine." His face became even more filled with arrogance.

A mocking tone began to come out, "Of course it's to 'Slaughter' ALL OF YOU!"

"Is that so?" The man's face was still flat.

"Then what can you do in your current condition?"

"What do you mean—" His words immediately stopped, his eyes carefully observing his body, his head still not moving.

"What... is this?.."

Cyrn beside him felt slightly disappointed by that. "Geez."

"Are you an idiot?" Cyrn muttered.

"When someone who's always silent suddenly speaks, there's definitely a certain intention."

*Wsh. Something from Guiver's body suddenly disappeared.

"Thanks, Cyrn." Trying to understand, "But what was that just now?"

"That was sealing, of course you got sealed."

"What the hell is that?! That ability is so unfair!" Reigh shouted in annoyance.

"But why can I still talk?" Guiver asked Cyrn.

"Of course the mouth part still works," Cyrn replied, slowly looking toward the man who used the sealing earlier.

"Because he wants to humiliate you."

The flat-faced man sneered. "You're already panicking over just that?.."

"Do I need to tell you?.."

"That was the lowest-level sealing I have."

"Oh." Guiver replied briefly.

"So this time is Nomov?"

His eyes narrowed even more. "Aether Arrow." he said softly.

In an instant, wind arrows appeared above them.

There were so many of them, the buzzing overlapping with each other. *Sssh. Sssh.

Nine looked up, since it was right above all of them. "You think wind alone is enough, kid?" she murmured.

*Whooosh! All the arrows shot down rapidly. Heading toward the 11 of them.

However, *Bsh. In an instant, all of them disappeared mid-way.

"It's useless, Kid." The commander said quietly.

"Do you think—" *SRAAAT! His words were cut off, replaced by a slashing sound that pierced the ears.

It came from Guiver's wind magic, appearing from who knows where. Clearly, the previous attack was used as bait.

"Is it done?" Guiver muttered, looking at their bodies split in half horizontally one by one.

His face slowly formed a faint smile, but not the 10 Grey Lurk higher-ups, their faces showed no expression at all.

Guiver looked left and right. "Hey, why?"

Reigh was also confused. "Isn't it over? Then why are they so flat?"

In the silence that followed, a mocking voice appeared, the kind no one would want to hear, especially not Guiver and Reigh.

"Know your place, kid."

Guiver instantly looked to the right,

"You think that attack really had any effect?"

His face was filled with shock,

"Oh?"

And then changed into an uncontrollable smile.

His desire surged intensely when he saw them one by one, whose bodies had been split in two, slowly reappearing with intact bodies.

"Heal, huh?"

"No," Cyrn replied. "That's not Heal, but,"

"Illusion."

"Illusion?"

"Yeah. Ever since using Nullaw, one of them made an illusion and switched places."

"Of course the one who did it was,"

"Noril."
